About the author

Danielle Kathleen is a poet shaped by memory, language, and the landscapes that raised her — the forests of British Columbia, the teachings of her Haudenosaunee ancestors, and the sunlit ruins of Greece.
Her work explores the soft architecture of grief, identity, mythology, and the quiet endurance found in being human.

Her debut collection, An Echo Named Me, marks the beginning of a growing body of work that includes two forthcoming poetry books and a myth-infused contemporary novel inspired by the Aegean islands.

Off the page, she is a voracious reader, a student of languages, a traveler with a camera in hand, and a dedicated wanderer of BC’s forests alongside her dog, Merle.
