Not bad
Not the best book I've ever read but it was a short and likable one. I liked the friend, Kiera, the best though. She was written as a fiery and fierce friend to the main character. As far as our main characters go I liked them but not enough to want a longer story. From the way Donovan was described I'd say he was yummy but very alpha bossy! Not my favorite type...I like sweet and sexy which, I suppose, is more unrealistic. Then at the end of the book the author gives us a glimpse of her inspirations. Matt DiRito, rockstar. I just had to Google him and WOW...gorgeous! On a sad note, the author's sister had died very young from cancer but our heroine doesn't which is good.
All in all a good little story that needs no sequel.

Wowed
Ok, I picked up this book because I'd seen it mentioned on FB and saw the cover and thought "Oh, a hot rockstar Book", Boy was I right and wrong. Right because Donavan is one hell of a rock star, but he's also sweet and down to earth. Heather struck a deep cord with me because I too had a brain tumor removed, twice. I love this story, that Donavan proves he more than what Heather thinks is a normal rock star and that Heather went through some tough shit and came out with a man that stood by her, took care of her, and most of all loves her.

I really liked this book - the characters and the plot. I was hesitant to read it at first since my good friend was the muse for Donovan. But, the character is nothing like Sir Spicy except in looks. And now I want more!!!!!

Heather is out with her girlfriend, Kiera at a concert when she makes the mistake of looking the sexy bassist on stage straight in the eyes. She thinks its just harmless flirting because he couldn't possibly be flirting with her too. She even allows him in her bed, but she knows better than to allow him in her heart. Heather Rose is a high school history teacher with papers to grade and lesson plans to make. She won't be the woman who hangs onto the rock star. Throw in horrible headaches attacking her balance, making her black out and really just hitting at the wrong times. No family to rely on, she keeps putting off going to see a doctor.

Stand alone by this author.
I love a good rockstar romance I do I do... and this author does not disappoint. Very hot and very steamy. Fast paced and capturing.

I bought this to support Star Treatments and ended up really enjoying it. It's a true bodice-ripper, but not at all stupid and has a good subplot going.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge fan of Pop Evil. When I was going through a hard time in my life, their song 100 in a 55 spoke to me so much. Being a fan on Facebook of theirs, I from time to time watch their Tuesday videos. So I caught one with Matt DiRito where he talked about their new album (some), but also about a book where he was featured in...an erotic romance book. And the big part! 50% of the proceeds goes to his charity, Star Treatments. So even if you don't want to read this book, buy it for a good cause.
So back to the actual review....
Heather Rose is out for a fun night with her best friend Kiera when she locks eyes with Ares Revenge's bassist, Donovan Milano. The two lock eyes, flirt with air kisses and generally have a good time without even knowing each other. Not wanting to be a rock stars one-night stand, Heather attempts to leave without meeting Donovan, but he lays in wait. After a meal, they both succumb to the passion driving them, but Donovan makes a rookie mistake and leaves without a note. He does program his number into her phone and vice versa. Being an alpha male, he texts her he is coming over at 8 to get her and expects her to obey. Oh, so wrong.
The two dance around each other as they come to learn more. Heather Rose is a high school history teacher with papers to grade and lesson plans to make. She won't be the woman who hangs onto the rock start. Throw in she likes a little pain with her pleasure, she thinks she is a freak. Throw in horrible headaches attacking her balance, making her black out and really just hitting at the wrong times. No family to rely on, she keeps putting off going to see a doctor.
Donovan is harder to describe as you only see what Heather sees. He looks just like Matt DiRito, bassist from Pop Evil. Long black straight hair that he puts in a cap a lot, rides a motorcycle but also has a restored Mustang, tattoos in all the right places, a nose ring. Donovan is extremely controlling and an alpha male. He likes to control all situations, but he is also hiding some ghosts in his closet that he really needed to come clean on.
The sex scenes while graphic also at times lacked some real heat. Heather needed slight pain from bites, pinching or ass spanks. He often commands her to come, but then has to help her along when she can't give herself the pain she craves. I wouldn't say she is a masochist, nor is this a BDSM relationship. It's probably more normal than people would admit.
When not in the bed (or table...wall, etc.) he takes care of her. Feeds her, takes her to meet his band mates, and generally loves her. Throw in a stalker (not going to say who is getting stalked), you have a little suspense, a lot of worry and a ton of sex. Yep, dirty fun sex.
I didn't have high expectations going into this book, but it really grabbed me anyway. I cringed when I saw it was written in first person POV and while I got used it, I really wanted to know what was going on in someone else's head besides the heroine. Heather is amusing to watch, but I wouldn't say incredibly strong in character. She made assumptions about Donovan without giving him time to get to know her. Donovan has his own issues, but I couldn't see into his mind to see where he was going with it. Overall, a guilty pleasure that I would never have found without watching a video of Matt DiRito on Facebook.

First off Theresa Hissong is awesome and the proceeds of this book goes towards an awesome charity. I adore that she is that giving.
The main Character Donavon is loosely based on Matt DiRito. The Character is well developed, loving, kind, passionate and he just rocks. Heather was a well developed Character, also loving, kind, passionate and Donavon and her make a wonderful couple.
This book is absolutely amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It you are looking for a beautiful romance novel that is well written, look no more because this is a perfect fit for you. I loved it. I read this book in just a few days. I didn't want to put it down, but life responsibilities happen. Heather is a headstrong and independent woman that has her possessive moments. Donavon is a dedicated sweet person that levels her out.
There relationship works well together. This book has everything from hot rockers, hot sex, passionate characters to suspense.. keeping you on the edge of your seat anticipating the next word, or page.
Would I recommend this book? Yes absolutely, and if you like alpha males or rocker books then I highly recommend this book for you.

Donovan Milano is the perfect example of a Rock Star. He put the moves on Heather Rose during a concert and WOW! Ice could have melted in the wintertime with all the heat that was passing between the two of them. I like the Theresa Hissong made a “famous” guy be just a good ole regular guy who wants to be loved for him and not because he’s in a band. Heather is afraid that of being a Rock Star’s girlfriend. She knows that bands always have a different girl in every town and she doesn’t want to be that girl. She doesn’t know what to do. Then something happens and we find out that Donovan Milano has been given the personality of every woman’s fantasy. He’s tender, loving and so very protective. Theresa Hissong has done the most interesting thing in Chapters 16-19 and I found it really added an emotional touch to the story. I want to take just a minute in this review to thank Theresa Hissong for being so generous to Star Treatments with her donations from the sale of the book. Great Job! I loved the book and hope there’s more coming on the rest of the band.

What the f#©|< was THAT? And why isn't this book, like, hmmmm, I don't know, everywhere???? I am a huge fan of erotic rockarolla, and dis chica got it in spades. I wish we coulda had more of an epilogue and I woulda liked to see her friend hook up with a bandmate, but Miz Hissong takes you on one wild ride. I really loved the whole book and couldn't find anything to whine about, except there can always be more nekked folks, but that's just me. Well done piece o' smut. could become a classic!

I really enjoyed this book. What an emotional rollercoaster. Heather and her best friend Kiera are having a much needed girls night out. They go to a concert for one of the hottest rock bands around. The beautiful Heather makes eye contact with the drop dead gorgeous bassist Donovan Milano. She thinks its just harmless flirting because he couldn't possibly be flirting with her too. The ride takes off from there. The characters are so well developed that they jumped off the page. I laughed and cried and screamed. The romance is hot yet sweet. I loved it.

This was my first Theresa Hissomg book but will not be my last. I first fell in love with the cover, it represents Donovan & Heather perfectly. This book had everything, hot rockers, suspense, hot sex, & passion. I recommend if you like rocker books or alpha males.

I loved getting a chance to peak into a rock star's love life! Theresa did a great job making you feel like you were in the room feeling each emotion she put forward. Not only do the proceeds of this book go to an amazing charity- it's a story that wraps you up where you don't want to leave your new friends!!

This was my first book about a Rock Star and I was just a little bit leery. Oh. My. God. What a beautiful love story! Absolutely blew me away. Donavan and Heathers story was wonderful! Loved it!

Heather is a highschool teacher, who never lets go. Donovan is the bassist gor Are's Revenge. He definlitely knows how to let go . What happenes when they meet? Will it be love at first sifpght, or will someone keep them apart.
