Just like the last book, this story picks up right after the second book ends. This is a very fast paced book. You can finish it within an hour. Loving all the characters and the development of Red Hands.

I feel like there shouldn’t have been such a focus on the smexy times. The plot is so juicy!! I wish more focus on the plot. Don’t get me wrong. There’s still a lot of plot happening. I would’ve liked … maybe…three less smexy scenes and added in more drama with the sheriff /red hands.

The originality on the author’s part with that skull head was peak. I didn’t think I would laugh at something so grotesque, but I did. Kudos to the author!

Every book is a tease from Holly! Please make the stories longer!!

Sera has to be careful now that the cat is out of the bag; Vincent will make sure she knows who runs the town, that he is untouchable. She needs help, but where from? Sera accepts help from an unexpected source. She needs her Court; will the men bind themselves to her, strengthening her position?

The Entity is getting stronger because of Sera; his memories are coming back, as to who he is and why he is bound to the house. Will he ever be unbound? Can they find a way?

Sera is determined to take Vincent down one brick at a time, make him weak and vulnerable, to eventually pay for his sins. But while she is doing that, Red Hands still has her in his crosshairs. He'll take her strength, make her weak, then he will strike.

This book leaves us on another cliffhanger, and I am hanging here, wanting to know what's going to happen next. I've really enjoyed the series so far, it's darkness, dark humour. The fierceness that Sera wants to seek out her own brand of justice, the justice that was denied her, and how far she will go to get it. Plus, the men who will pledge their lives and love to her to make sure she can.

But the pieces are still moving on the chessboard, so is the Queen safe?.

Well, someone’s trying to make Sera feel like she’s in a pickle. She’s not really sweat’n it though—she’s got her Shadow Daddy, James, and Eddie. She’s honing her weapons. Strengthening bonds. Securing loyalties. Things are falling into place … until they aren’t.

True to her addictive writing style, author Holly Ryan, continues to be one of only two authors that trigger an old bad habit of chewing the skin around my nails, as I perch—not relax, mind you—from beginning to ‘the end’. As usual, a TON happens in this installment. There is an event that I couldn’t believe my eyes, as I was reading it—and Holly writes to imagery, so I was ‘seeing’ this event … my heart hurt 🖤 Mind. That. Cliff!

This is the third installment in the series Her Monsters, Her Crown and none of the books in the series are standalones, so you'll have to read the first two in order for this one to make any sense. Now that I've said that, I don't ever read books that end in a cliffhanger until the story actually comes to closure with the last book of the series. And to be honest, when I started this series, I didn't realize there would be a cliffhanger, but since I got started on the story and became invested, I didn't have a choice in the matter. Anyway, I'm glad I did decide to go on this unhinged, runaway train of a story. It's dark, it's messy, and it's full of heart wrenching events in throughout. This isn't, in any way shape or form, a light read. It tackles topics that are heavy and frankly, you need to read the TWs before you dive in. But if you like those kinds of stories and love a FMC that is powerful and can hold her own, this one's for you. Things move fast in the story, so there won't be any point where you'll feel bored. And.... it ends in, yet another, cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book.

This is the continuation and 3rd novella in the series Her Monsters, Her Crown. Each novella continues into the next. Each is fast paced and quick to read.

Sera has all her men still rotating around her. They continue to make plans against Vincent and Red Hands. While some answers are given, there's still a lot of questions. I'm looking forward to the last book to find out who Red Hands really is. Overall, this group is transforming one another but the outcome remains uncertain.

The characters were very complex and complicated and compelling and dark. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building continues to be solidly drawn and impressive. A great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

I am so angry with Penelope, aka Sera. Was I worried about James? Of course, I was; I'm obsessed with him and Shadow Daddy. But did I, for a minute, think that she would be so reckless as to disregard Shadow Daddy and run outside into what she knew was a trap to try and pull him inside instead of calling Eddie for help? No, I didn't think she would be that reckless. And now, because of it, I don't know how the next book is going to fix what is wrong.

Feed Her Fire comes out in April, and I’m antsy, cause that cliffhanger was something! So much happened in this book that I need the rest of the story.

I love the characters each one of her men are different but with just enough similarities to bond them. This series scratches an itch I didnt know I had. All it needs are some zombies and all my favourite fictional things would be in it.

I struggled with the second book, this one I ate up in one night!
This has everything the second one was missing and I can't wait for the next book just find out how this cliffhanger ends. If you need a quick and not too deep read for the night this is one of the greatest options.
