The cinematic roll out of the events in this one was to be expected, so I will not emphasize it. I would had rather see this as a movie, though.
IN the end, I am not very convinced this really is the last (the final) episode in the Linday Lane series. The ending doesn't do a great job in making this hard truth :-) (it has those suspention points the makes you believ it could go on with another one).
So,thre trap was not a real trap (the title says so), but in the meantime they (Liam, Lindsay, her coworkers, and the locals police including the sheriff ) suffered a lot of bumps, and some were even killed along.
I would really want to see the actor to impersonate the Ranger - author's description made him a mean solid monster; I thought of Arnold, but he's pretty old now for this :-)

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This story begins with Liam, Lindsay's brother, contacting her to ask for help in locating his girlfriend Claire who has been missing for a few days. His reason for contacting her was because he got a ransom note asking for money he did not have. On arriving she is met by Willis, a former FBI partner who agrees to help with the hunt. As the search begins, it is discovered that this kidnapping is similar to what happened many years earlier once they discovered a body of which Liam said had information. Shortly after an attempt was made at the house that Claire was sharing with other roommates. Lindsay was able to arrive before one of the roommates could be killed. Soon members of Lindsay's team decided to head to assist, but first they need to do something in Denver which soon wound up with the discovery of another body which was later found to connect to Claire's kidnapping.

Follow along as Lindsay, Willis and Liam followed the information that they had obtained to try and find the kidnappers. The ending will answer most of your questions.

The story will definitely keep you interest and is well worth the read. Don't miss out!

Unlike the title suggests, Not Quite The Trap captivated me from the very first page, pulling me deep into its narrative and certainly ensnaring me. The story kicks off with an explosive start and maintains its intensity throughout.

A man enters the jail and begins shooting indiscriminately. Indeed, I was immediately drawn in by this. The entire scene unfolded in my mind as if I were present, witnessing the chaos firsthand. I could almost hear the gunfire echoing with each shot. I could only imagine the look on the man's face with every pull of the trigger. I believe I was flinching with each gunshot.

A woman goes missing, prompting Detective Lindsay Lane to step in and locate her, ideally before the situation escalates to a fatal conclusion. Lindsay's investigation reveals that numerous individuals have much to share. However, discerning the truth proves to be more challenging than it appears.

Not Quite The Trap is the sixth installment in the Lindsay Lane FBI Thriller series by Nora Kane, and I eagerly anticipate delving into the next book. I am enthralled by the mystery and suspense that keep me engaged with every word as I hasten toward the conclusion, reluctant to see it end.

Yet again the author has produced an exciting, fast paced, corpse filled novel with a twisting storyline. Teaming up with her brother Liam Lindsay helps to track down his kidnapped girlfriend. 'Lose lips cost lives' could be the subtitle as fellow criminals believe that Liam has amassed a cash pile from bank robberies that the FBI can never link to him. The criminal are determined to get their hands on it regardless of who gets in their way.

Set in an isolated mountainous, winter snow filled landscape where the local sheriff is convinced that Lindsay is a 'murder magnet' scaring off the tourists while some within the FBI viewing her with suspicion adds to the drama. With its devious storyline the book is thoroughly enjoyable.

I received an ARC copy but the views are my own.

Not Quite The Trap - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Not Quite The Trap by the inimitable Nora Kane is quite literally breath-taking at times. Hot on the trail of a rumoured dead, (but not so) twisted serial-killer, is FBI Special Agent Lindsay Lane, with partner Willis.
She's brought in, off-the-books, by her 'reformed criminal' brother Liam, when his trail guide girlfriend goes missing.
Naturally things aren't straight-forward and the two Agents are soon embroiled in a maelstrom of secrets and lies that could cost them their lives.
Want to know who makes it, who's behind it and why?

You're guaranteed to be firmly gripped by the imagination throughout, so grab a copy of Not Quite The Trap right now - it's unputdownable!

A fantastic 6th book in the Lindsay Lane FBI thriller series that grabs you from the beginning and holds you on the edge of your seat until the amazing end! Wow! Lindsay's criminal brother, Liam asks his sister, to find is girlfriend who was kidnapped. Apparently, some bad guys think Liam has the money stolen in a crime and are holding his girlfriend for ransom. This is a twisted, thrilling page turning book with murders and lots of danger. You just can't put this book down since when you finish each chapter, you have to see what happens next. Not only do I recommend this thrilling book, but I highly recommend the entire series. I received an ARC of this book, but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I did not think this author could outdo herself after the thrilling events of book five but, another great read in this series by author Nora Kane. The sixth in the Lindsay Lane series and every bit as exciting and thrill filled as the first. Liam is once again asking for Lindsay's help but it must be kept on the "down low". It begins with multiple murders and the suspense and excitement continues throughout the story. Twisted and horrifying deaths follow and I can't get enough.
I received a copy of this book via the author and I voluntarily leave my opinion of the tale.

Liam and Lindsay work together to find a missing girlfriend. There are a number of twists and turns and suspicious motives. Liam seems to be a target of a malevolent game and Lindsay is determined to find out why. I love it when these two are on the same page. This was a tough case for Lindsay and she is grateful to have people who have her back. She needs all the help she can get. This can be read as a standalone.

This is the 6th installment in the Nora Kane series and it did not disappoint. If you haven’t read any of her books you are missing out. Nora Kane is a master at suspense and thrilling books.

A man goes into the jail and just starts shooting people randomly. Elsewhere, a woman has went missing and Lindsay knows she has to solve these things quickly.

The twists and turns will keep you up reading all night trying to figure out what is going on. Highly recommend.

Loved this book. Plenty of action and interaction between reformed (maybe) criminals, the FBI agents, local police, and current perpetrators. How can you not love siblings on opposite sides of the law that show up for each other no matter the cost. I also enjoy Lindsey being in a different group and her new boss. Hope she stays there despite dead bodies showing up when she does. Can’t wait for the next in series!

I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.

Wow - great thriller!

Another fantastic story with FBI agent Lindsay Lane as she is determined to help her brother, Liam, a former criminal.  The lines between right and wrong are a grey area for Lindsay.  This book captivated me from cover to cover.  I highly recommend it to others.

I read this book as part of an advance reader team. I am voluntarily writing this review.

Good, but ends abruptly

I enjoyed this one and was happy to see Lindsay out of the bank robbery division. Unfortunately, she didn't work that much with her new team. Hopefully, we'll see more of them in the next book.

Make sure you don't have to go to work,  on a date or fishing because you won't be able to book this book down even for a few minutes. If an adrenaline rush is your thing then this book is for you.
Where ever Lindsey is, it's never quiet. It's a hair raising, baddie bashing, dead body count and this was no exception. The hairs on my neck are still raised after all the twists and turns.
I cannot wait for the next book, I can see it will be a serious sleep deprivation one.
