Kaiser had such good breakthrough-slash-character development in this ooooonnnneeeeee... ahem. But let's not talk about how fast he ruined it though. A red flag doesn't turn beige in one chapter...

Charles is HILARIOUS. He's giving me Bachira x Nagi vibes, and I am so here for it.

I can't believe that Mr. Worldwide Handsome, sorry, Jin Kiyora is a middle kid like meeeee. Maybe that's why I felt such a kinship towards him when he was first introduced.. (and definitely NOT because his name is Jin)

Intense, high-stakes continuation of the series’ signature brand of chaos and ambition. While undeniably gripping, the sheer volume of simultaneous developments at times renders the narrative somewhat frenetic.

One of the standout elements of this volume is Kaiser’s backstory—arguably exaggerated in its execution, yet undeniably effective in evoking sympathy as the volume progresses. The emotional weight of his past adds an unexpected depth to his character, making him more than just an egotistical antagonist.

Visually as dynamic as ever. The high-energy paneling and expressive character designs continue to amplify the tension and stakes, reinforcing the visceral nature of the game. The interplay between action and emotion is striking, though at times, the sheer volume of concurrent events is starting to become a little overwhelming.

Despite feeling somewhat scattered, the volume maintains the series' trademark intensity and psychological depth. A compelling, if somewhat chaotic, installment.

Michael Kaiser's backstory finally shown? Hell yeah! I really love how Kaiser-centric this volume was, especially since the previous volumes were more focused on Isagi defeating Kaiser or Kaiser countering Isagi with a steal, all these little moments leading up to the juncture where Kaiser would have to rebuild his ego to continue prospering. I also like how his development was shown differently than the Blue Lock players; he had to strip himself down to zero to return to one, a battle prepared for those who have already achieved success, to test if they are truly willing to take the next step necessary to become the best.

The dual perspectives we got for Kaiser and Ness's first meeting were also really cool. Ness saw him as a beacon of hope; Kaiser saw him as a means to an end. The detail of his reading psychology and philosophy books to find out "what drives human actions" was really telling; he wanted a reason behind why his father was the way that he was. Kaiser says he wants to be "loved by somebody", yet he continues to push others away. Ness is the only one who has truly stayed by his side, but he still won't acknowledge him.

Superstar Kaiser bitching about wanting to be loved when he's loved right from the start, he's just too busy with his own issues to see that. And that's why I love Kaiser and Ness's dynamic. They're both fucked up and freaks in the flesh. As much as Kaiser is pissing me off right now, enough to cough blood, because of how much he's thrashing Ness over and over again, I know full well how much I love scum gongs. Kaiser will soon grovel the moment Ness decides to worship—pass—to someone else other than himself.

kaiser's backstory is good as shit, and i do think there was ample foreshadowing before hand so this is not totally unexpected. lowkey bllk has been getting kinda dark since the nel started but the art styles defo lost that edgy vibe yk? still not updates on nagi, i kinda need this match to end to see how the manshine vs barcha match is looking - praying for a nagi hattrick or at least ONE goal

Capítulos: 260 al 269.

Y por fin entramos al tan esperado pasado de Kaiser, hace tiempo una imagen canon mostraban a Yoichi y Kaiser en un sofá con un balón, el de Yoichi en buen estado, el de Kaiser en muy mal estado, por lo que era obvio que a diferencia de Yoichi no había crecido en un ambiente amoroso, pero shit, esto es demasiado, su madre una actriz y padre un dueño de un teatro, ella les abandono para triunfar y él se tiro al alcohol y apuestas guardando un regalo de la mujer una rosa azul, obligado a robar y siendo golpeado hasta la inconsciencia, a sus 12 años compro un balón al que se apego de manera incondicional, fue acusado de un delito que no cometió y aunque se lo llevaban arrestado, aunque su padre lo golpeó, aunque sus ahorros fueron tomados, nada le inmuto hasta que su padre intentó romper su balón, volviéndose loco, derribó a 7 policías con sólo el balón, y una vez en la cárcel, un agente de fut, fue a visitarlo.
Llego al Bastard, donde a pesar de que lo tratarán bien, él no conocía más que la violencia, por lo que pronto se aislo, tatuó su rosa y esperando a un perro, que obtuvo con Ness, comenzó a jugar de manera violenta, utilizando el fútbol como una manera de lastimar a la gente, dejando huella en ellos, comparando su actuar con el de su padre, regresando al juego, volviendo a intentarlo, pero fallando debido a Rin y Yoichi, quien le recuerda que ese ya no es su equipo, enfureciendose más, obteniendo a un Noe diciendo que luche con ese ego, CTM.
El juego continua, Kunigami gana a Shidou de nuevo, Kurona lo obtiene y juega junto a Isagi, que esta fascinado con la idea de ganarle al emperador, quien por su lado esta desestabilizandose, Ness le dice que no es necesario ganar ese juego, pero Kaiser esta obsesionado con ganarle a Isagi, quien ha comenzado a hacerle sentir lo mismo que su padre, recordando el tiempo en el que no era humano, descubriendo que tiene miedo de perder todo por lo que ha luchado, reconociendo que a pesar de todo su esfuerzo y su posición alta, aún no está en la cima del mundo, donde visualiza a Noa e Isagi, entonces decide perder todo, destrozarse, crear su cero, su EGO.
Kaiser resurge mediante su destrucción y reconstrucción, sus ojos nos demuestran que ha alcanzado un potencial extraordinario, Isagi continúa su juego, Kurona le hace segunda, pero al ser el nuevo protagonista, consigue marcas, logra evitar a Karasu, amando como se refiere a Kurono como su planeta :3 y a Hiori como sádico extremo aksja, pero Kaiser les intercepta y aunque Ness se lo pide, Raichi es a quien se lo pasa, sorprendiendonos a todos, incluso pidiendo por favor ajsj, cosito, aunque Rin lo detiene, pero esta vez no se frustra, al contrario no deja de ver más, dándose cuenta de que su estado mental y situación son por Yoichi, diciendo un espléndido "Muchas gracias" en alemán, y con el poder destructivo de Isagi y Kaiser presionando por primera vez sus probabilidades de ganar son absolutas, pero aún en medio de tanta confusión y extasis, se encuentra alguien con calma y pasión, el bonito Kiyora.
Kiyora qué siempre se vio obligado a tomar una posición, y escoger la mejor para ganar ahora tiene que escoger entre Isagi y Kaiser. El campo entero está centrado en Isagi, por lo que Kaiser aprovecha para avanzar, por lo que su despertar se enfrenta a la monarquía absoluta de Isagi, Aoshi bloquea a Kurona, Nanase lo roba y Kaiser a él, descubriendo que no apunta a Isagi, si no a los errores a su alrededor, y le pide ayuda a Kunigami, sí me ardi la neta, e Isagi descubre el ego de Kaiser, siendo como él, del tipo mundial, pero Rin y Karasu le bloquean, Y HIORI OBTIENE EL BALÓN, Y LO PASA A KURONA Y ÉL A ISAGI, AMOOOOOO MUCHO EL TRIANGULO DEFINITIVO, pero aunque lo tienen todo, el hdp de Charles despierta, ya hasta a mí se me había olvidado ajdjajs, pero el balón va a caer al perro leal de Ness qué le hace saber a Kaiser qué sigue ahí, pero lo ignora y cede a Kiyora, quien tiene que tomar una decisión, tanto Yoichi como Kaiser hacen ver su ego y Kiyora decide, aunque al inicio parece ir para Isagi, este regresa para Kaiser y aunque Rin y Charles van por él, el balón se detiene por mera suerte, justo lo que necesita para su nueva arma, lanzando su impacto Kaiser, que aunque todos creen que fallará, este se curva, vemos a un mini Kaiser jugando, deseando ser libre, ser humano, ser amado, antes de que su gol impacte en la red, demostrando que es una super estrella.
Hiori le cuestiona a Kiyora y descubrimos que el mamon le apuesta al perdedor ajsjajsj, y les hace saber que no esta del lado de nadie, pues puede apoyarlos a ambos o a ninguno, Kaiser le agradece a Ness, pero también le hace saber que no necesita más limitaciones y le pide que lo olvide ajsjaj, parecen novios y por fin tenemos los tipos de egos claros, el ego mundial que apunta a lo alto, adaptándose y superandose, haciendo las cosas por que le gusta y apasiona, y el ego individualista, que a pesar de que se supera y adapta, solo hace las cosas porque puede, porque es bueno en ello, y dividiendose también en los libres como Isagi y los que tienen limitaciones como Kaiser.
Kaiser diciendole Yoichi a mi bb, hablándole con calma y bonito para después retarlo por un nuevo juego mientras lo insulta ajsjajsj, YA BESENSE HDSPM, juntos serían lo mejor e imparables pero nooo, andan peleando, y al fondo tenemos a un olvidado Rin que promete matarlos a ambos ajsjaj.
Italia mira emocionado el partido, algunos alucinados, otros analizando, pero Barou preguntándose "¿qué vas a hacer chico?" amo que siempre estén pensando en Isagi ajsja, Loki descubre que lo que Noa busca es la evolución de Kaiser, al igual que él la de Charles.
Rin sabe que la evolución de Kaiser y el despertar de Isagi crean más posibilidades, pero sabe que entre ambos aun no crean una reacción química por lo que apunta a matarlos con ayuda de Nanase, pero Isagi y Hiori lo detienen y Kaiser se hace con el balón, preguntandose si están sincronizados, pero no, pues son capaces de conseguirlo gracias a su competencia por tomar el trono, y Rin admite haber llegado hasta ahí con la única idea de vencer a Isagi y cuando ve su venganza ser destruida, Isagi lo mira ajsjaj, encendiendolo y dándole lo que quería, la presión de Isagi.
La batalla entre Isagi y Rin es increíble, Nanase y Kurona están ahí para secundarlos, al final Isagi y Kurona son los ganadores, Isagi avanza, siempre consiente de Charles y con el Bastard Munched ardiendo y evolucionando más que nunca vemos a Rin full encendido, esperando acabar a los mejores egoístas, pensando en su hermano e Isagi, quien sigue jugando y pensando a mil por segundo, acercándose a Kaiser para cortar su opción de usar la atención de todos en Isagi para atacar, alejándose, pero siendo alcanzado, ambos alcanzan un estado irreal, pero todo sale como Isagi planeo, conectando con Kurona, pero Rin lo alcanza a leer, ajsjja ogt llamando perro trenzado de Isagi a mi Kurona bb ajsja, logra robar el balón e Isagi se da cuenta de que Kaiser no es el único que evoluciona a base de alimentarse de su libertad, pues Rin también lo hace.

Kaiser's backstory really broke my heart. He deserved to receive so much love.
And he tried so hard to put his pride aside and start from zero. I like that his character is developing. In the end he totally deserved that goal. Amazing!

I actually love the way Isagi’s evolution in this match pushed Kaiser to want to improve. He admits that he played people he knew he would win against and didn’t challenge himself. He sat comfortably in the same spot for a while and that isn’t enough to be the best anymore. Kaiser had to reawaken his Ego and undo who he was to improve. What can I say? it’s the Isagi effect. If there’s anything about him, is he pushes people to be better. I’ve always been a fan of the kaisagi rivalry- as I am of all of Isagi’s rivalries with other characters- and knew it would deliver. I appreciate that just as we’re seeing Isagi get better with every match, that we saw Kaiser want to improve (he got the Barou and Yukimiya treatment). Ness got left in the dust lowkey, but hey, maybe this will be what pushes him to pursue his REAL ego once and for all. Maybe Kaiser leaving him behind will snap him out of it and he will actually start playing for himself moving forward. Whatever the case, I love watching the characters in Blue Lock grow because that just means the match will be all the more exciting. I can’t lose no matter what.

Hiori and Kurona are my pookies, idc. They don’t PLAY when it comes to Isagi and I respect how reliable they are. idk if anyone else noticed but I think Kurona’s habit of repeating things twice is so endearing.

Jin is an interesting character, I’m looking forward to see more of him. Isagi was talking about there being two play-styles and how he falls into the more logical side. I think Jin is like that too, he correctly got the sense that Kaiser was his ticket to getting his moment in the match.

Also, I really like Charles lol he’s so fun and brings a refreshing energy to the match. He’s also an unhinged menace when he locks in which is great. We love to see it.

Kaiser dopo un tiro completamente fuori misura, ricorda il suo passato. Era chiamato untermensch (sub umano) dal padre, che lo picchiava ripetutamente. Poi l'arresto, dopo aver incastrato il padre e aver messo ko 7 agenti con un pallone. Infine la rinascita, con l'opportunità di giocare a calcio. È suo il gol del 2-1 che porta avanti il Munchen contro il PXG.

Honestly, this isn’t even a battle between PXG and Bastard München, it’s battle between teammates 😂😭

This volume was basically just Rin and Kaiser fighting over Isagi with some tragic backstories mixed in for fun.

I'm a bit upset because my homie Rin is feeling like a side character at this point. Also, all signs are pointing towards Isagi coming out on top, and I feel that'd be super predictable and boring. Fingers crossed the author chooses to be creative 🤞🏽

However, loved the gameplay in this volume and I found myself really rooting for Kaiser.

Volume based on Kaiser dvpt, very well written where we follow the emperor's downfall. We see his fears that makes him more human than his arrogant side. He rediscovers himself and doesn't hesitate to crush everything in order to evolve. Really sad backstory for the best written character.
