This is my first book by Nicole Austin and will not be my last. Savannah Thompson has a gift of “second sight” and grew up with heartache because people did not know how to treat her. After the passing of her grandmother, she decided to find a place to call her own and while traveling down the road, a ranch called Shooting Star, called out to her as home. She strives to keep her secret from everyone but little does she know - they know. She starts her ranch with 4 cowboys - Riley, Brook, Jesse and Zeke. All total hunks but they are another story. She makes a friend in Tamara a bookstore owner in town. Her life on the ranch gives her solace to be herself and an outlet to release her pent up energy with crazy games. Her reoccurring dream of a sexy dream lover start to become more frequent so she decides it’s time to hire a Ranch Manager. Low and behold her dream lover comes in the form of a man named Cord Black. The connection is spontaneous and they are drawn to each other like moths to a flame. Their passion is explosive and the desire for each other is red hot. Cord tries to bring order to the ranch and tries to reign in Savannah. She keeps her secret from him but often reaches out to his mind. Until a tragic event takes Savannah from Cord do they realize they need each other more that humanly possible. This story absolutely fantastic when you have 4 ornery cowboys, a sassy best friend, rough around the edges ranch manager and a boss with second sight. The hot sex scenes between Savannah and Cord are hot, steamy and primal. The scenes with Tamara and the cowboys are out of this world. I enjoyed this book very much and am looking forward to reading Tamara’s Spirit.

Oh my, down and dirty and oh so sweaty sexy! Not quite a 4 star read, but more than a 3, so round up!
Savannah has had visions her whole life, and had to leave her home town after she was treated unfairly. She wandered and just knew when she was 'home'. After buying her ranch and hiring her four cowboys, she needs a foreman. She has her dreams of a sexual encounter with a dark and mysterious man and knows that is her foreman, in fact one of those dreams is how we begin our story.
The story continues that way, really hot and dirty sex scenes and some story line trailed in-between. Sex is how the story is told, and yes there is a story, and it is interesting. All the characters are set in place, and the interactions are rather...interesting in some parts. Everything seems set, no clones and each different. Not all of them interesting, so I hope their stories are jazzed up a bit more, but I definitely want to read more of this crew!

This story and its characters just didn't click with me, Savannah's childishness grated on my last freaking nerve...and while Cord started out in the first few pages to be the rugged take charge cowboy I love, he ended up being...well, (if I may be blunt) completely pussy whipped at which point I just lost all interest. 2 stars for the eroticism as it certainly wasn't lacking in that...as for the remaining books in the series, I really had no invested interest in Tamara or the other cowboys in this story and what their future might hold to continue reading it

I loved this cowboy book. I loved the relationship between van and the cowboys. Great storyline plenty of kink. Can't wait to find out what happens in tamara's. only issue I had was pranks van played on ranch while trying to push cord away. Just really annoyed me after a while just felt she should grow up. But other then that great HEA.
