Neurosurgeon June Kato joins an expert team to perform delicate surgery on one of Hawaii's most prominent citizens. Defying both nature and the supernatural, and armed with little more than a scalpel and patience, she gets help from other-worldly sources as Kilauea begins to overflow with Madame Pele's anger. Then her husband shows up with their young daughter, putting the entire family in harm's way. But when molten lava streams toward the hospital threatening to turn it into a steaming basin of volcanic fire, the heat gets turned up to blast furnace levels! This edge-of-your-seat heroic adventure is Hawaiian paranormal folklore at its best!
Chilling in it's reality, the storyline could very easily be the newspaper heading. It was frustrating and frightening and I enjoyed reading it very much!!
Good story. I like Dr, Kato's fiestiness! I would likely give the books in this series a 4-star if the editing was better. Many typos, but if you can get past that- the characters are fun to know and if you know Hawaii, the settings are recognizable and the stories are good.
