White Magic
Once, Luria was a place of peace, and light, and magic. It was filled with mages working in concert with one another to build a better world...but then the mage battles came. Then the darkness came.
Magic splintered. The world was broken. What fragments of magic remained were impossible to grasp...except for the ones that were turned to darkness.
Mage after mage, desperate for some trace of magic, turned to darkness, foresaking everything they believed and everyone that they loved rather than living a life without magic. Darkness rose in Luria, so hot anad so strong that it nearly set the world on fire--but God did not abandon his people.
