Kael Vanya is a walking fracture in the perfect order of Chroma City. Born with "Spectrum Sickness," he cannot control the violent bursts of colored light that erupt from his skin whenever he feels fear, rage, or sorrow. Branded a hazardous contaminant and exiled to the decaying Undercity, Kael lives in the shadows, believing himself to be broken.
But when the Obsidian Veil—a fanatical faction led by the chilling Architect Silas—begins abducting citizens and draining their color to fuel terrifying Resonance Engines, Kael discovers his "sickness" is actually a dormant power. He is a a conduit capable of wielding the entire emotional spectrum.
To save his city from being reduced to a hollow, monochrome wasteland, Kael must unite a ragtag band of a pyrokinetic fueled by rage, a hydrokinetic drowning in sorrow, and a defector who sees the world in frequencies. Together, they must ascend the Obsidian Spire and shatter the Veil’s silence.
But the true battle isn't just against the machines. To become the conductor of the rebellion, Kael must stop suppressing his darkness and learn a terrifying Harmony isn’t the absence of fear, but the courage to let it sing.
