You’re in for a wild ride with this story! Full of nonstop action and suspense, this book kept my attention all the way through to the end! The romance is more of a slow burn that amps up toward the end, which I prefer, with the main focus on the hunt for the missing girls. There’s a faith thread that is also woven through the story, bringing light to dark places. This is my first novel by this author, but definitely won’t be my last! I read an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions in this review are honest and my own. Don’t skip on this one, it’s worth the read!

Boy did I enjoy this story. From the danger and drama while searching for a missing person, to the flashbacks of a different case that haunted the Special Agent, I found myself flipping through my pages fast! When two investigators get put together to solve a case and the odd connection to that case, a past romance threatens their ability to work together. It keeps you wondering if they can put aside those paste heart-feelings to solve the case or will the work on the case be the healing they needed? Throw in another case, this one hitting close to home and it gets even more interesting.

This is a new author to me. This novel revolves around a current case that the main female character, Maya Reid, is investigating as well as a cold case the main male character, Cash Brenner, is investigating. I am always intrigued when there is a cold case involved in a plot. This novel was really well written. I thoroughly enjoyed the secondary characters in this novel as well as the twists and turns found throughout. I had some ideas of who was behind everything but was not 100% sure. I definitely recommend this book and I look forward to future books by this author.
I received a complimentary copy from the author. The opinions in this review are my own.

mystery, suspense, romance! taken without a trace delivers it all in a quick, thrilling read.
an anonymous tip about his cold case and the trail for her missing sister bring gbi agent cash brenner and private investigator maya reid together for an unexpected reunion. as they identify the connections between their cases, it makes sense to stick together—especially with the danger that seems to be lurking at every turn.
their investigations becomes full of twists and brings about some interesting surprises. i enjoyed riding along with cash and maya, getting to know their past in the midst of the present mystery and seeing how the romance just seems to make sense between the two.
it's an exciting, fun, hope-filled read, and i'm sure other readers in need of a little romantic suspense could easily enjoy it.

“The last thing she needed was to start feeling sympathy for Cash. That was too close to forgiving. And forgiveness was a slippery slope.”
Oh, Maya! Hope Welborn has constructed some very believable, very flawed and layered characters in her new romantic suspense, Taken Without a Trace. What causes you to pick up a book from a new-to-you author? The title
grabbed my attention first, and I know you’re not supposed “to judge a book by its cover,” but with an eerie cover like this, knowing it’s clean romantic suspense from Love Inspired?! And then, from the first scene, where Cash is investigating, yet running for his life from a Doberman? We’ve all seen the signs, with the outline of a Doberman, “I can make it to the fence in 1.5 seconds. Can you?!” So the intense action begins at top speed literally, and never lets up!
Cash is part of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He is still feeling like a failure over a case he led but couldn’t solve 4 years ago. Suddenly, he wakes up in the hospital with his ex-girlfriend Maya there. Having no memory of the accident Maya claims to have rescued him from, nor why he was in that secluded area, life gets worse. Maya is looking for her long-lost sister she has been separated from since childhood. When Cash’s GIA boss hears Maya’s concerns over her sister’s disappearance, he appoints Cash to work with Maya on this case that so closely mirrors his failed case.
Maya is appalled. Do they know she and Cash share a history that fizzled and died? “Yes, she could use the help to find Laurel. And she hated to give that up. But she hated the thought of working with Cash Brenner even more.” Yet, she and Cash are given no choices. You don’t buck the head of the GIA. And you don’t fail twice. And Maya must get in, find Laurel, and get out. Without any more rejection- be it from the GIA, because she’s only a civilian, or be it from Cash, because the longer they work together, the flimsier the walls of her heart become.
Did I mention Cash has amnesia? It’s a little(maybe a lot!) embarrassing for the lead on a case not to remember information that might cross over into this new, look-alike, possible tie-in case.
The twists!! Hope Welborn deserves five stars just for the well-planned, well-executed amazing twists that she drops like a bomb more than once in the story! Incredibly satisfying! But don’t take my word for it. Run - faster than an angry Doberman, if you please- out and pre-order or get(after Aug. 25th) your copy today.
I hope to read many more of Welborn’s books! But she has set the bar incredibly high for herself!
I received a copy of the book from the author. I also pre-ordered my own copy. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.
Notable Quotables:
“She had scars no one could see. Like him. Wounds beneath the surface. Wrapped around his heart. A barrier to the outside world. He’d seen glimpses of that in Maya. Her pain mirrored his own. She understood him like no one else ever had.”
“It was time she reminded herself that she didn’t need anyone. Especially not Cash Brenner.”
“There may have been a number of things she’d missed out on in life by building walls around her heart to keep others out. But it had been the only way she knew to keep herself safe.”
“And sometimes you need to let God fight your battles.” A lesson he was still learning. Trusting someone to fight for him and not against him was a foreign concept.”
“Working together had knocked loose some of Cash’s memories, hopefully aiding their investigation. It had also knocked loose her buried feelings.”

I truly loved reading Taken Without a Trace by Hope Welborn! Exes GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) agent Cash and Private Investigator Maya are reunited by danger as they are both working their respective cases. Cash is working on a case involving a missing college girl that continues to haunt him until it’s solved. Maya, orphaned and recently reconnected with her younger sister, is searching for her sister who has gone missing. When Cash crashes his car into a tree, Maya runs to his aid, not realizing who it is. As Maya starts to render help, shots start ringing out. In the hospital, both Maya and Cash are shocked to have run into each other again…and to find out that their cases may be connected. Begrudgingly, Cash and Maya decide to join forces to solve both cases. The more that Cash and Maya are together, the more changes they see in each other. The more they see each other, the more they realize that their feelings never went away. The more they are around each other, the more danger they get in. The more danger, Cash rescues Maya and Maya rescues Cash.
Hope Welborn is a new-to-me author that over exceeded my expectations with Taken Without a Trace! I loved how much I was able to enjoy reading about Cash and Maya! I loved Maya and Cash’s backstory and how it added layers to them working on the case. I loved the growth and how they could see how each other changed (and stayed the same) since they broke up. It was beautiful to see how Cash’s eyes were opened to the way women should be treated since he came to Christ—and that it was noticeable to Maya! I loved how I felt like I was solving the case along with Cash and Maya. I thought that the plot Ms. Welborn crafted was unique, adding different strings, and theories to what was truly going on and who the culprit(s) may be. I learned a lot of fascinating new things about ways that you could do a crime by reading Taken Without a Trace. (Make sure you read Taken Without a Trace so that you know what I’m talking about!) I liked how Ms. Welborn took you to seedy places during the story, but didn’t leave you there for very long. Almost as if Ms. Welborn was taking us there to let us know what’s going on, but also letting us know that we didn’t have to stay in deep darkness to understand or get the full story. I also thought that the title, Taken Without a Trace, fit the book very well. If you are looking for a mystery that’s unique and shows how God can change a person, then I highly recommend Taken Without a Trace by Hope Welborn! I’m excited to see what Ms. Welborn creates next!

5 Stars!
Taken Without a Trace is a must-read for lovers of inspirational suspense with a bit of romance! It’s the first book that I’ve read by Hope Welborn, and I’m looking forward to reading many more. There are multiple tropes included in this gripping suspense: a cold case, second chance romance, partial amnesia, missing persons. And, all the while, the author weaves faith into the story through showing Cash’s transformation since accepting Christ as his Savior.
Cash Brenner, GBI agent, has blamed himself for a missing person’s case that went cold four years ago. When he receives an anonymous call from someone telling him that he may find a clue as to what happened to that young woman who went missing, he quickly heads to the place the caller indicated. Rather than calling for back-up, he impulsively investigates the lead on his own. Big mistake. While there, he’s chased by a Doberman and has to jump from a two-story window to escape. Needless to say, he’s dazed yet tries to drive away from the building. He doesn’t get far before he “runs-into” Maya Reid, a private investigator he once dated. As she’s coming to his aid, they’re ambushed and barely escape. As it turns out, the case Maya is working on, her missing long-lost sister, may be related to his own cold case.
Cash and Maya are such intriguing characters. Their backstories have led them to where they are today. Everything that happens in our lives influences who we become, and this is very evident with Maya especially. I’ll let you discover those things on your own! I really loved getting to know some of Cash’s fellow GBI agents and hope to read books about them in the future!
Taken Without a Trace has so many twists that I did not see coming! I love it when I’m taken on a twisty ride in a suspense book. I don’t want to spoil the plot in any way because I think it’s important for a reader to experience those unexpected or “a-ha” moments for themselves! The conclusion of the book is very satisfying, and with all of the great characters and suspenseful scenes, I think you’ll love it as much as I did!
Do you have a book that you’ve read with a twist you’ll never forget? I’d love your recommendations!
Taken Without a Trace is perfect for readers who enjoy books by Deena Alexander, Jacqueline Adam, Darlene Turner, and Mary Alford.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

I love a great suspense novel. They’re my favorite to read. It’s something to be transported from my world as a mom, wife, farm person, homesteader, etc to a world of danger and intrigue. It’s definitely not something I’d like to live in my own life but it is something i like to experience through books.
In Taken Without a Trace, we get to experience several suspenseful moments as well as some romantic ones.
Cash and Maya are our team in this novel. Cash is a special agent on a cold case. Maya is a private investigator bound and determined to find her missing sister. When Cash gets a new tip on his cold case, he goes to investigate only to be attacked. Maya saves him.
Oh, and did I forget to mention they are exes?
It’s fun watching the caution and tension between the two. They have a past, and now they have a future as they work together to find Maya’s sister while also staying alive.
I love how faith is interwoven into the story. It’s not out there beating you over the head, but there in subtle best ways. And I appreciate that the search for the missing sister is the main focus while the romance gets to shine at the end.
Cash and Maya are forced to work together by Cash’s boss. The fun part here is that he has amnesia from the attack that Maya saved him from. So the interactions are super fun!
I loved how fast-paced this was. I could not put it down! You definitely need to grab this book and settle in to read it all in one go.

Maya Reid and her sister were placed in Foster Care due to their father being killed in a car accident and their mother dying from an OD. Due to a mix-up in the foster care system Maya's sister was adopted as an only child by a prominent couple who didn't know of Maya's existence. Maya grew up in the system and was never adopted. She tried to find her sister now named Laurel, but was never able to even though she's a PI. Laurel did a DNA test and discovered Maya on a DNA site who had done a DNA test years ago hoping to find her sister. Laurel reached out to Maya and they made plans to meet for lunch, but Laurel doesn't show. Maya is afraid something happened to Laurel, but she doesn't know what.
She scrolls Laurel's social media for clues. She spots a building in a picture she recognizes and heads to the industrial park area when a vehicle nearly crashes into her.
Cash Brenner receives an anonymous tip pertaining to the one case that haunts him. He goes to check it out. He is attacked and forced to jump out of a two story window dislocating his shoulder upon landing. He makes it to his vehicle and takes off while starting to experience symptoms of trying not to blackout. He almost hits an oncoming vehicle and hits a tree hitting his head causing amnesia.
Maya recognizes him and calls for help while driving Cash to the hospital. They're being shot at and followed. Cash works for the GBI=Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Cash and Maya dated for a few months 2 years ago. Maya doesn't want to work with him and doesn't trust him after he broke her heart two years ago. Yet, she has to for safety and to try to find her sister with the help of the GBI.
Together they must put their past aside and work together to discover who is behind a human trafficking ring and find the women before the buyers take them away. They have to do this while Cash can't remember what happened the night he dislocated his shoulder and had the car accident. He can't remember why he was there or why someone wants Maya and him dead. They must trust each other and God to find Laurel and dismantle the trafficking ring. Will they also learn to forgive and love again? Maya sees Cash has changed and he has become a Christian, but can she trust him with her heart again? Will they find Laurel before it's too late?
You will love this book if you love faith based suspense thriller! I couldn't put it down!

In this story full of suspense and danger, we travel along with two exes in Georgia as both of their cases seem to be interconnected. And the bad guys, would like to see both of them dead.
Private Investigator Maya Reid is looking for her missing sister. Things are a bit more complicated since her sister was adopted out of the foster system when she was a baby and they have never met as adults. But Maya is looking for an anchor, something to keep her grounded, so after searching for her sister all these years, she things she might have finally found it. Except now her sister has gone missing and it seems that nobody cares. Nobody but her ex and the bad guys.
Cash Brenner is a Georgia Special Agent. He has been working on a missing person's case that has haunted him over the years. Maya's sister's case is just too similar to ignore. And they couldn't ignore it anyway since both he and Maya have been hunted and their lives have been put into danger. Now with his temporary amnesia surrounding the recent incidents, he and Maya must now work together.
As I was reading, I really felt for these two as their sense of hopelessness really rises to the surface. It would be a scary situation to not remember why someone is trying to kill you, and you wouldn't even recognize them. However, they both do manage to escape even when it looks like everything is stacked against them. This is a great thriller to remind us to not give up on hope and to seek help when you really need it. And maybe, just maybe they can reconnect.

Can forgiveness lead to healing and redemption between two strong-willed individuals who have each faced trauma and great loss in the past?
Cash Brenner, a Special Agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, is suffering from memory loss after a heart-pounding action event that kicks off this fast-moving romantic suspense story. He is an intense, serious person—on and off duty.
He is rescued by Maya Reid, a private investigator who just happens to be his ex-girlfriend. She is hesitant to work with Cash on her case because he deeply hurt her in the manner in which he closed down their relationship a couple of years earlier.
After the two compare notes on their respective cases, they realize the disconcerting similarities between their missions. Eventually, it is decided that they will work together with a hard-working law enforcement team who are dedicated to solving two different missing person cases—the current case of Maya's sister's disappearance and a long-ago case that Cash has been unable to solve for many years.
The villains in the story are truly evil and relentless in attaining their goals. There are many red herrings which will appeal to fans of this genre. The action scenes are varied and well-written.
The faith thread running throughout the story is a strong point of the plot. The book is completely clean in language and content.

Taken Without a Trace by Hope Welborn
A missing person case…
or a deadly cover-up?
Georgia Special Agent Cash Brenner gets an anonymous tip on a cold case that’s haunted him for years—but following the lead has him walking into a deadly ambush. He’s saved by his ex, private investigator Maya Reid, who is on a mission to find her missing sister. As eerie similarities between their investigations emerge and Cash grapples with memory loss from the attack, they must put their rocky past aside to find answers. With danger lurking at every turn, Cash and Maya need to act quickly to solve the case and locate Maya’s sister—or risk losing everything they hold dear.
My favorite quote is
She grabbed her phone to call 911 but paused when a man emerged from the car. Opening her own door, she stepped out.
“Sir? Are you okay?”
He didn’t seem to hear her as he stumbled, one hand held to his head. The other arm hung at an odd angle. Possibly broken or dislocated.
“Hey!” She spoke louder. “Sir? Can I help—”
The words died in her throat as he turned. Cash Brenner?
I recommend this book.

What a fantastic read! I started it and read until I turned the final page. Hope Welborn's two strong protagonists, PI Maya Reed and Special Agent Cash Brenner, have more in common than their case loads. (Which have a somewhat peculiar connection.) Maya is searching for her sister, whom she hasn't seen since Laurel was one year old. But before they could meet in person, Laurel disappeared. And Cash is also looking for a missing person; a woman, who's been missing for years. Perhaps the two can join forces to find both the missing women?
That's actually a great idea. There's just one little problem; Cash ghosted Maya two years ago. As he did then. Now that Cash has met Jesus, his heart has been changing. And he's no longer the person he was. Can Maya trust him again? And, could they work together to find these women who keep disappearing?
I loved reading [book:Taken Without a Trace|244528999. Cash and Maya are fantastic investigators-thrown-together. There's clearly a connection (though a nearly severed one) between them, but the romance is clean and moved steadily, not rushed. In fact, the pace of the book is just like that; perfectly timed in its movement from scene to scene, as the story and the mysteries continue to build on one another. Great read and a fantastic story!

Christian Suspense Romance is a favorite Genre of mine. Taken Without a Trace by Hope Welborn is the most recent book that I have read in this genre.
WOW, this book captured my attention from the very beginning and I could not stop reading. The main characters are Cash Brenner, a Special Agent in Georgia and Maya Reid, a private investigator. Cash is trying to close in on solving a cold case, after receiving a new lead. Maya Reid has been trying to locate her missing sister, someone whom she hasn't ever met as an adult. Danger lurks for both Cash and Maya and they are both running out of time to solve their cases. Cash and Maya decide to help each other, even though Maya wasn't too sure about joining forces with Cash. Maya hasn't gotten over being hurt by Cash a couple years ago when he ended their relationship. I really LOVE that they both realize that what happened in the past needs to be set aside for the safety of others and themselves. The growth in both Maya and Cash as they begin to solve the cases at hand and protect one another from danger is very heartwarming. The many twists and turns really kept my interest to continue reading. The book is one of Courage, Forgiveness, Faith and Family. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who loves Christian Suspense and Romance. GREAT BOOK!

There was something a little extra fun about reading Taken Without a Trace because I actually got the chance to meet Hope Welborn earlier this year! She was so incredibly nice, and after meeting her, I was even more excited to sit down and read one of her books.
This one pulled me in pretty quickly. Right from the beginning, I had that feeling that something wasn’t quite right, which of course meant I immediately started trying to figure everything out. 😂 There’s plenty of suspense, secrets, and danger along the way, and I definitely found myself second-guessing where the story was headed more than once.
I also really liked how Hope balanced the suspense with the faith, emotions, and relationships between the characters. The Christian elements didn’t feel forced or like they were just thrown in—they felt like a natural part of the characters’ lives and what they were going through.
Overall, Taken Without a Trace was an enjoyable Christian suspense read that kept me curious and turning the pages. And having met Hope and knowing how sweet she is made reading it just a little more special!

Taken Without a Trace
By Hope Welborn
When GBI Special Agent Cash Brenner literally runs into the "ex from his past that he's regretted ever since," it isn't a happy reunion. Nope not even close. But Cash's cold case and Maya Reid's missing sister just might be linked. Can you say "Danger!"? Because both Cash and Maya fear what might be next when someone decides they need to be eliminated.
Taken Without a Trace definitely kept me guessing as to who the criminal mastermind was. And can we just say there were times I was like, "Don't do it!" But did the characters listen to me, nope.
But overall, it was a fairly good read with just the right amount of suspense.
Did it keep me reading too late? Um, yeah. But this was a fairly quick read. This was a book of second chances (if they can get past their pasts) and family. It is a Love Inspired Suspense offering so the romance tends more towards sweet, and the violence is kept in the non-graphic category.
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations. All thoughts expressed are my own.

Wow! This was a humdinger of story with plenty of twists and a whole lot of mystery. When private investigator Maya Reid ends up saving GBI Special Agent Cash Brenner's life, the story gets really interesting. They have a past and there is definite tension. When Cash wakes up in the hospital, he cannot remember why he was where he was at when she saved him. Maya is looking for her missing sister, and Cash has been working on a cold case, which he cannot remember at first. It did not take me long to figure out these would overlap. I always enjoy a good cold case mystery.
The mystery was top notch and the characters, including side characters, were all likable and engaging. It was not hard to like them even as their insecurities and flaws were brought to life. I always enjoy when an author makes their characters more real life than fiction, as all people are flawed and not perfect.
This was my first book by this author, but it will not be my last.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Taken without a Trace by Hope Welborn is a new to me author whom I very much enjoyed.
This book y'all is a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end and I loved the search for Maya's missing sister. I loved sleuthing with Chase and Maya. I was rooting for them all the way through
The romance was done just right and the 2nd chances is always my favorite because they offer hope, forgiveness and sometimes faith filled themes throughout this mystery.
It will keep you guessing and turning the pages until you see who it finally is. Sometimes you think you know and sometimes it will surprise you. I like the surprises best.
There are twists and turns that you never see coming which makes the story more interesting.
This is a fast paced story that is over before you know it. I devoured this book I loved it soooooo much.
I'm sad to see it end. It will leave your heart feeling full and satisfied.
5 stars for a job well done and for keeping my attention.

If you haven't heard of this author, you will. This author will quickly be one that needs to be on your automatic to buy list. This story starts out at a fast pace and doesn't stop until the last page. Cash Brenner has gotten a tip on a cold case and goes to check out it's validity. He barely escapes when he crashes his car right in front of his former girlfriend. Maya Reid is searching for her sister when a car crashes and before she can come to terms with who it is, someone starts shooting at them. This story kept me turning the pages late into the night. I just couldn't put it down before I found out who is behind everything and why. If you enjoy stories about second chances and ones that will leave you shocked at the end, this book is for you. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions are what I thought of the book. I truly hope that this will become a series and follow the other characters from the story.

This story's fast-paced action and suspense kick in from the beginning with a violent ambush that brings together GBI Special Agent Cash Brenner, who is working a cold case disappearance, and Private Investigator Maya Reid, who is desperately seeking to locate her missing sister. As it becomes evident that their cases may be related, they must push past their history and work together on a high-stakes investigation to bring the culprits to justice. The intense suspense, with danger around every corner, kept me anxiously anticipating the outcome, and the mounting suspects kept me guessing at the villain’s identity all the way to the surprising reveal! I love the story's slowly developing second chance romance and appreciate the light, meaningful faith thread. This book perfectly delivers everything I want in inspirational romantic suspense, and I highly recommend it.

The action started from the very first chapter, and I was on the edge of my seat until the very end. This love inspired suspense story had clean romance, great characters, drama, amnesia element, missing people, and an intriguing story line-all the things to make a great book!
I liked getting to know the main characters-Maya the investigator and Cash who works with Georgia Bureau of Investigation. They find themselves working together again after Cash crashes his car into Maya’s and then doesn’t recall why he was there and what case he was working on. Cash and Maya are on the run trying to solve clues of a missing woman while they try to keep themselves from getting shot or ambushed.
I enjoyed the faith element in this well written, suspenseful story. I can’t wait to read more books by this author!

When a book begins, "He was going to die" you know you have to find out what happens next. This continues throughout the entire story. You have to read the next chapter, then the next, until you discover how it is going to end. Georgia Special Agent Cash Brenner is trying to solve a case that has haunted him for years and Private Investigator Maya Reid is trying to find her missing sister. When they literally run into each other, they find out their cases are connected - and someone is trying to stop them from investigating. Can they discover who is behind this before one or both of them are stopped forever? Action, mystery and suspense along with a touch of romance and faith mixed in, makes this a "can't put it down" book. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

Taken Without a Trace was such a fantastic story. I didn't want to put it down!
Special Agent Cash Brenner gets an anonymous tip on a cold case of a missing woman that’s haunted him for years, but when he gets there he's ambushed. His ex, private investigator Maya Reid, is out looking for her missing sister when Cash comes out of nowhere and she rescues him. But there's a problem, part of his memory is gone and he can't remember what he found or where he was running from.
As they try to figure out why Cash was attacked they realize their 2 cases have a lot in common. Can they put their past aside to find answers they need? With danger at every turn, Cash and Maya need to act quickly to solve the case and find Maya’s sister before it's too late.
The end of this book was not what I expected. I was shocked by who was behind it all.

This book is by an author I've never read before, but I'll read more of her books. Georgia Special Agent Cash Brenner is looking into an old cold case that has bothered him for years. After a tip about the case goes sideways, Cash's ex-girlfriend, PI Maya Reid, rescues him. She's looking for her missing sister, and their cases are starting to match. Cash is having memory loss from a previous hit and as they draw closer to answers, someone whom you don't suspect, doesn't want them to find them. This is a fast-moving suspenseful story that I highly recommend. There are lots of twists you won't see coming. Can Cash and Maya get beyond their past differences and find her sister and the answer to Cash's cold case? I was given an advance copy by the author, but these are my own thoughts and words.

As they work together to solve both cases that seem to have striking resemblance to one another they must also dodge a killer that wants Maya and Cash dead before be back remember what tip he was checking out when he was first ambushed. This was an intense, scary read as they are so many factors at play here. I really enjoyed this read!

Holy cow people!! TAKEN WITHOUT A TRACE blew my mind, totally screwed with my head, and then blew my mind once again! It was that good! All while I was reading, I totally had it figured out only to be wrong over and over again! I love when an author keeps me guessing. Hope Welborn grabs her readers right from the very first page and never lets them go. The action starts right away and never lets up! Cash and Maya have history together. Will it get in the way of them trying to solve the mystery of what happened to Maya’s sister?
With TAKEN WITHOUT A TRACE the reader can look forward to a story that takes you into some crazy situations. The suspense in this fast paced novel, had me flipping the pages like a woman on a mission and I couldn’t put the book down. My emotions were on a crazy roller coaster ride while reading TAKEN WITHOUT A TRACE and it didn’t stop until the very end. If you are looking for fast pace romance you won’t find it here. It is more slow burn and I loved every minute of it! Maya has no desire to work with Cash after he broke her heart two years ago, but she feels as if she has no choice. She knows she is running out of time and must find her sister and the other missing girls.
The twists and turns in TAKEN WITHOUT A TRACE are going to keep you up late into the night trying to figure it out. One minute you believe you know who did it and the next you are sitting there shaking your head, wondering what the heck just happened. I had my suspicions, I had it all figured out, or so I thought, and BAM…….wrong again! Once you start reading, trust me, you aren’t going to be able to stop! When everything is finally revealed, well, you won’t believe it! TAKEN WITHOUT A TRACE is my first story by Hope Welborn, but it definitely won’t be the last! Well done Hope! You have yourself a new fan!

Taken Without a Trace packs a punch from the opening scene. The action and suspense don’t stop, but remember to breathe. Author Hope Welborn knocks it out of the park with her new inspirational romantic suspense.
Private investigator Maya Reid is on a mission to find her missing sister, and she doesn’t need or want any help, especially when Special Agent Cash Brenner, her ex-boyfriend, appears on the scene. The tension between them is unmistakable, but they must work together if they want to solve the case.
Cash if following up on a missing girl cold case. Oddly enough, his cold case and Maya’s missing sister just may merge into the same investigation.
This is definitely a 5 star book. Readers will love it.

Taken Without a Trace by Hope Wellborn grabs readers from the very first page and does not let go. This fast-paced, suspenseful story delivers an exciting ride filled with danger, intensity, and unexpected twists. I really liked Maya Reid and Chase Brenner, and I enjoyed following them on their sleuthing journey as the mystery grew more intriguing with each new clue. The suspect list kept expanding, leaving me wondering right up to the end who was truly responsible. I also appreciated the second-chance romance between Maya and Chase, which developed slowly and naturally, along with the light thread of faith woven throughout the story. With its shocking ending and engaging characters, Taken Without a Trace is a thrilling read that kept me eagerly turning the pages until the final reveal.

Someone is trying to kill them.
SA Cash Brenner is looking into a cold case - the kind that never leaves you until it is solved. Obviously he disturbed something, but with no memory of what happened, no one can help him figure it out. Maya is searching for her long lost sister - could these two similar cases be related?
The suspense ramps up with shots fired, wrecked vehicles and more danger. Will his memories come back before someone is killed? This story will keep you on the edge of your seat, trying to figure out who or what is pulling the strings. Will Maya accept God’s unconditional love before it is too late?
What an introduction to this new to me author! Received through Love Inspired Suspense and BookFunnel, these impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.

I love any book that is full of suspense, and this book does not disappoint! Georgia Special Agent Cash Brenner has been bothered for four years over a case of a missing young woman that he has yet been able to solve. When he gets an anonymous call regarding this missing woman, he takes off thinking this is the break he has been looking for......but...it is not what he was looking for at all. Enter his ex girlfriend, Maya Reid, a private investigator, who is looking for her missing sister and the two collide and compare notes and similarities. It is full of unexpected surprises and angst that will keep you turning the pages. Hope Welborn does a great job with this story as well as weaving in Christian themes throughout.
