This was a quick read, the author kept my attention from the first page. There was action, drama, romance, hot sex, and lots of scandalous secrets.

**FULL REVIEW**
“When Tora Blake turned her back and walked out of the room I was sure of two things. One, she wasn’t in love with Seth. Two, I wanted her. What I would have to decide is which of those two things I might dare to do something about.”
Say hello to Jackson Manning.
If I wasn’t so confused throughout most of this book, I might have more to give you without giving the entire thing away. But one thing I know for sure…Jack is definitely the kind of man I love to read about!
I also would like to introduce you to his step-brother, Seth…
Seth I can share…he’s a self-centered-entitled-momma’s-boy. Oh, and he’s a sissy too. We can all picture someone like that, right? We can also picture their mothers…and Miranda Manning was as bad as they come.
She also hated Jackson. It’s amazing what a woman will do when she resents the child of the man she married…and boy, did she do it all. Miranda did everything in her power to take anything and everything away from Jackson, including the sentimental things of his mother’s. Unfortunately, she did something right with Seth…he thinks he’s just like her.
But when mommy-dearest isn’t pulling the strings anymore, Seth starts to lose it. The only person he thinks holds him together is Tora.
But Tora has a few secrets of her own…and it’s only a matter of time before Jack figures them out. See, she may have Seth fooled, but Jack sees something deeper in the mask she wears. And it speaks straight to his heart…
“We had all night. I wanted forever. I could lose myself in Jack’s touch. Forget who and what I was; it was everything that I needed.”
This is book of secrets, one I had a hell of a time trying to figure out. The author does a great job of making you scratch your head throughout the story, only to smack you upside the head with everything all at once. I definitely enjoyed the “chase” and look forward to how it all pans out in book two.
Thank you Ms. Blue for not leaving me completely in the dark…the light at the end of the tunnel is blinding and I NEED to know where Tora leaves Jack…and Seth.

So this is going to be a somewhat cryptic review so that I don't give away spoilers. TORRID is full of lies, deceptions. selfishness, resentfulness, pettiness, ulterior motives, and despicable people and people who act despicably but with decent motives for their behavior.
Jack only wants what is rightfully his. The patents to what his father created when he was attempting to help his own son read despite his early difficulties. Jack wants what was left of his mothers belongings that had little monetary value but huge sentimental value. With the death of his step mother Jack hopes to be able to cut ties to his painful past with his family; however his weak and self centered 'brother' Seth has demands of his own. On top of everything else, Jack's wicked stepmother has one last jab to make from beyond the grave.
Tora, Seth's fiancée, has motives of her own. Seth feeling confident that the world revolves around him and his wants and needs, doesn't realize that the woman he thinks that he controls has reasons of her own for being with him and putting up with his deficiencies. The immediate and intense attraction between Tora and Jack complicates Tora's plans, but plays into Jack's.
There's plenty of good story to be found in TORRID and although there are some questions answered, there's plenty more left hanging in the end. I'll just have to wait for book 2 to get more answers which is SO hard when I need answers NOW!

OHMYLIFE!!..
**NO SPOILERS, JUST MY FEELINGS ON THE BOOK**
This book was amazeballs to read!!.. It has so many twists and turns you could get whiplash, the good kind :)
I instantly fell in love with Mr Jack Manning!! his character was one for the ages. Also Tora I liked how she stuck to what she started even with the odd occasional doubt or slip, her character is driven to succeed at all costs which is her downfall as well as strength.
The dark yet sexy vibe this story has is one you just can't miss and really don't want to.
This is a great read and can't wait to start on the next book.
Highly Recommend this to everyone :)

5 Amazing Stars
I was given this book for my honest review
Do you remember the Tom and Jerry cartoon when you were a child? How the cat was always trying to catch the mouse but the mouse was always out of reach? Tom would go off on his ranting sprees in order to catch the ultimate prize in which was Jerry but for some reason beyond his control Jerry was infamously always getting away. As in life we strive for the biggest of prizes at times but what happens when the ultimate prize you crave is beyond your reach? One little bitty taste of it and we always crave the unattainable but what happens when the unattainable is finally reached?
This is the 1st book in the Torrid Trilogy
Jack-handsome, smart, hunky
Tora-pretty, smart and hidden
Seth-cute, ego problem
Tora is a woman with a mission but not just any mission to her it is about honesty, love and the pursuit. She loves her family with all her heart but something in her past has gone arise and with all her might she will stop at nothing to right the wrong. No cost to this beautiful woman in to high but is it? In this midst of trying to get to the truth a man comes into her path that takes her breath away. She begins to falter slightly just when the end of her mission is in sight. Will she be able to finish what she has started or will she untangle more of what she had not suspected and continue on this path or will this one man convince her that he is her path?
Seth is a man that isn’t very bright to be honest. He has always been coddled by his mother in which for him life has always been jaded for he does not know the real the world. He loves his drink and he thinks show casing a woman on his arm is the way to get what he such desires but is it? When an unexpected tragedy occurs within his family will this he be able to continue on with the life he has so been accustomed to? Will Seth marry the show case on his arm?
Jack is a hunky man that can have any woman he such desires but what happens when the woman he spots is his brothers show case? His eyes go bright, his stomach begins to ache he starts seeing a future with the woman that is not his to want but his heart has other ideas will he follow his heart or will he just let the showcase go?
This is their journey.
To the Author: You have totally left me wordless when writing this review. I wish there was more that I could put in this review but with true honesty I have to let this review be like this. I do not want to give anything away and I fear in writing more that I will. This book has so many twists in it that it really is that great. A love story evolving within the pages, scandal, intrigue and stars. You have brought so much to these pages writing more would just not work for this reviewer. Major Kudos

Torrid is the first book in the Torrid Trilogy) and is the first book I have read by Ms Blue. I must say that I really enjoyed this book and love the author's writing.
Jack used to have the perfect family but it was ripped apart when he was only sixteen. He then got an evil stepmother and a stepbrother. Miranda, his stepmother, always coddled Seth. Seth is engaged to marry Tora, who Miranda hates. Then Miranda dies, will Seth be able to go on without her coddling him? Seth is not dealing with his campaign for the senate very well without his mom and has developed a problem with pills. Tora and Jack meet at the funeral and the sparks fly. How will this love triangle end? Tora had her own agenda and secrets that she's guarding. She is willing to do whatever it takes to get the answers she's looking for.
This was a quick read, the author kept my attention from the first page. There was action, drama, romance, hot sex, and lots of scandalous secrets. Ms Blue has a way with words and made me feel like I was there witnessing things as they unfolded. It does end with a cliff hanger which left me wanting more. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book between Seth, Jack, and Tora. It seems like they all have secrets that they are hiding. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a steamy read.

This book is full of Hotness, Sexiness, and Suspense. Page one had me wanting to learn more about Jack. It’s almost as if he had me from Hello… Jack is Totally Scorching Hot on top of being a successful and very rich man. He has some mystery to him that I am just dying to figure out.
Seth is Jack’s stepbrother. At first I thought I was going to like him because of his dirty mouth, but then he ruined it with his all about me attitude.
Tora is Seth’s fiancé who is smart, sexy and has me questioning why she is with Seth… She is a very mysteries woman and has me wondering what her story is.
The more I read this book, the more I learned and had some questions answered. I am already excited and waiting for the next book. This book is a great start to what is looking to be a great trilogy. I love discovering new authors. Torrid is my first read of Jayne Blue’s work, but I can guarantee that I will be reading more of her books. I like her writing style and it looks like I have another author to add to my list of authors that I like.

Torrid by Jayne Blue is the first book in her Torrid Trilogy. This book is entwined in secrets and misdirection and you will need your sleuths hat and flame resistant panties to survive.
Jack, step-brother to Seth and detested step-son to Miranda is out for revenge. Very attracted to and intrigued by Tora. Hot, fine and many other descriptors that equal sexy and lickable.
Seth, mamma's boy to Miranda and in a relationship with Tora. Does not see her duplicity. Cute, but nothing to write home about.
Tora, hiding secrets and has an ulterior motive in being with Seth. Gorgeous and attracted to Jack despite her "mission".
This story plays out over three books and while some questions do get answered as this installment comes to a close there are still some left hanging.

I couldn't put this book down! The characters are so well developed that even though you don't know all that much about them yet, you want to, you NEED to! There are so many reasons to dislike some of them but they are written in such a way that you sympathize with them, you feel their anger, their angst, their pain. You need for things to work out for them, even if it's not what they think they need.
The sex scenes are HOT and even though they are much like other books I have read, what is happening between these characters makes it that much better.
Sometimes people have reasons for their actions that you don't understand unless you have been there and experiences similar pain, humiliation, and loss. This author has a really good handle on making you feel these things right along with the characters.
I can't wait to read book 2!

If you like hot, steamy with a dash of suspense and a bundle of lies...then this book is for you!!
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I was pretty much hooked after the first couple pages. The story is very well written and sprinkled with just enough suspense to keep you turning the pages. I was able to really connect with the characters. Jack of course is the hot sexy "other" man. Tora, is the wronged party. And Seth is the spoiled rich jerk that you would like to punch in the face. I can't wait to see how the rest of the story plays out. I will be diving into the next book as soon as possible. Great work Ms Blue! Looking forward to reading more of your work

I finished this novel in just a few hours. It kept my attention from start to finish.
Pretty much, I hate Seth and his momma's boy drunken asshole guts! I feel so bad for Tora having to put up with him just to find the answers for her fathers unfair conviction. She is such a strong woman and takes a hell of a lot of crap from Seth.
I have high hopes for Jack and Tora. It breaks my heart to think of how he feels by having to watch the woman he is falling for marry his evil brother.
I can't wait to read more of this story and find out how it all unfolds.

This is one book that, for me, really invoked feelings toward each character.
Seth is a self-righteous, spoiled brat who can't stand on his own two feet. Totally disgusting!
Jack is something else...hot and totally confident. I love the present he gave his soon-to-be sister-in-law just before she walked down the aisle!
Tora is smart and savvy. You can't help but want her to be victorious in her endeavors.
Miranda, even though she is deceased from page one, there is no doubt that she is a manipulative bitch, and you can only hope that she is burning in Hell!

Hot and Sexy!
Wow! Just as the title says erotic suspense is all this book is! Well there is an actual plot, deep feelings between two main characters. Yep except those feelings are between Seth's fiance and Seth's brother. Their illicit trysts are filled with heated lust and dripping with sexual pleasures. Plus Tora the fiance is with Seth to find information to free her father. While brother Jack is in it well initially because Tora is beautiful and belongs to his dreaded brother. So what's next? I don't know but if I haven't already downloaded book two I soon will!

Even though this wasn't what I was expecting at all, it was really great! It was very plot driven and the writing was crisp and interesting - and the sex was hot. Usually it's one or the other, but this had both. The only thing that wasn't believable was the lack of condoms, especially if he's rich and she's suspected of being a gold-digger. But at the very end I see why the author did it (though I still don't agree with it). Anyway, the long and short of it is I'm off to read the sequel!

4.5 Crazy Stars!!!
"Crazy" is the perfect word to describe how this book will leave you feeling. I was "crazy" curious wanting to know what Tora's deal was. I was "crazy" with dislike for Seth's character. And....I "crazy" love Jack! I can't wait to read the next installment to see what happens next for Tora, Seth, & Jack.

I enjoyed this read. It was sexy and mysterious. I enjoyed the secrets of the Tora and how they unraveled. I am not sure about her age. As much as I enjoyed the book, I thought her age was a little young for the character. If the next book comes available free or on kindle unlimited I will read it.

What I like about the book is that there is actually a plot. I hate the ones that are just sex with nothing else. This book has both steamy sex scenes and a little mystery. What I LOVED was the cover photo! Sexy!

Good storyline
The characters were believable and the story works. I am only sorry that the book was divided into three parts, hence you have to buy book 2 and 3 if you want to know the outcome.

I started this book not knowing what it was about. Once I start the story I couldn't put it down. So much drama that I'm excited about starting the next book in this series.

I like these kind of romance books where it's not all about sex, there's a more thicker plotline going on. Kind of a mystery book in ways. Nicely written.

As the story progresses more lies and deceit unfolds. Jack is sizzling hot and successful in his own right. Seth is a selfish man who expects everyone to do his bidding. There is plenty of suspense; you will not want to put the book down. Character development is good and you will easily connect with them. This one has a plot like no other and I can’t wait to see how all the pieces will line up. Overall I am really enjoying this one.

3.5 stars. Interesting storyline and steamy sex scenes. However, the ending was a little Ewwww.
I had not plan on reading this trilogy until I started reading the 1st of the Great Wolves MC series and the 1st book, DeX kept mentioning his daughter Tora and everything she had to for his freedom. So, I went looking to see if she had her own book and sure enough, I found it. Lol.
It should be noted to those new readers like myself , that this trilogy can be read as a prequel to the DeX book and series, so, more readers can have less questions and more answers in understanding. Just a thought!🤔😁

Torrid is Right!!
This was a quick, seductive read. It really drew me
into the plot. The suspense was very well done. My curiosity kept me reading. The sex was very well done. I don't care for control and submission games, but this was hot. I will read part two, but I need a break for a bit.

Hot and very suspenseful
This book really kept me guessing through it all. The sex was red hot and characters were well developed and interesting. Lots of sub plots held my interest.
