This was an excellent book. It had action, suspense, and romance. I love this series, and can’t wait to read the last book. Holt finally met his match in this story. He protected Lindsey from people that wanted to hurt her, but she was not a lady who just stood back, and waited for others to help her. I’m pretty sure she could shoot a gun as good as Holt. She was insulted when he told her to aim for the hand, or foot if anyone came after her. He had to explain he wanted the person alive to ask them questions. The sparks between the two were hot. This story also had twist that I didn’t see coming. Loved this book!

Very good book that started with a rush and kept my attention throughout. Lindsey was kidnapped by her father as a child and raised in the commune in Justice, but managed to escape when she was a teenager. She changed her name, and as an adult has come back to help others escape. She has done her best to keep her activities hidden.

Holt is also undercover, but with a very different mission. He has to infiltrate the cult and see just what they are up to. It appears to be weapons trafficking, but he needs the proof. When he hears two cult members talking about kidnapping Lindsey and taking her to the leader, he knows he has to do something fast.

When he burst into Lindsey's house he only had a few minutes to convince her to play along. She's resistant until the other guys show up, but once they're gone she wants answers. This was pretty interesting to see, because Holt never breaks cover, but he tells her the truth almost immediately. It takes some effort, but he does convince her, and none too soon. People start turning up dead, and it looks like she's being set up to take the blame.

I really liked seeing Holt and Lindsey together. Lindsey is a strong and determined woman and she's not about to sit back and take orders, not matter how good Holt is at what he does. I liked the way she pushed back at him. Holt is used to being in charge and not having his orders questioned. On top of everything else, the attraction between them is intense. Holt fights his feelings hard, believing that commitment is not for him. Lindsey also fights her feelings at first, but the way he protects her gives her a sense of peace she's never had. One of the things I enjoyed was the way the two of them understood each other's fears and were able to calm them. By the time the end came, Lindsey knew how she felt, but wasn't going to ask him to stay. Holt was still fighting, until his partners Shane and Cam straightened him out (a really fun conversation!). His return to Lindsey and confession of his feelings was awkward and adorable.

The suspense of the story was really good too. From the time Holt appears at Lindsey's to the very end, there is always something going on. Some of it is physical danger and some comes from the bad guys' efforts to set Lindsey up. The final confrontation at the end is really intense and comes with a surprising twist.

I enjoyed this book about Holt and Lindsey. Lindsey is living near a cult and was a member at one time. She is there to try and bring it down. Holt is working for a security company that specializes in missing and kidnapped persons. He is there to find out what is going on with the cult.

One day at work Holt hears people talking about going after Lindsey so he gets to her first and tries to protect her. They work together but the cult is strong, and they have guns and weapons. They are also training people to shoot.

I enjoyed this intriguing romance. I voluntarily chose to review this story and I've given it a 4.5* rating. The hero was such a guy type reactions to some things. He is very good at what he does and still is attracted to the heroine. This was almost funny in some ways but mostly serious about what they needed to do. Thanks for the larger print. Due to the sexual nature of part of this story, it is not for the under 18 readers.

Sheltered book2 of the Corcoran Team Series will leave you guessing who Sam Falls really is. A suspenseful, action packed romance with just the right amount of humor that will leave you breathless at times and wanting to go after the bad guys yourself. Sheltered has everything you want in a great romance story.

Quick read with a nice mix of romance and suspense. Holt is working undercover at a place called New Foundations. It started as a commune but under the group's new leader, Simon Fall, it has become a troublesome cult. The group Holt works for, The Corcoran Team, has learned the gated community is a front for stockpiling illegal weapons. Lindsey Pike was once a part of New Foundations but managed to escape. She ran to her aunt then both of them changed their identities and moved far away from the cult' s activities. Now Lindsey is back, doing whatever she can to help others escape. When Holt discovers she's about to be brought to the Foundation for questioning, he goes to her. It takes some talking to convince her he's one of the good guys but she finally agrees to go along with his idea to pose as girlfriend and boyfriend so he can protect her.

When the people Lindsey' s helped start turning up dead and all evidence points to Lindsey, Holt has to figure out how to keep her out of their investigation and away from Simon Fall, not an easy thing to do.

I found the plot simple but the characters complex. Lindsey doesn't want anyone to know she once lived at New Foundations or the fact her father kidnapped her, forcing his younger brother to go along to join the commune. She can't let the fact she's working against Simon get out, although when the bodies start dropping, it's apparent someone must be on to her. Holt, having been shot in Afghanistan and left for dead by a fellow soldier, is recovering from his own special set of demons. His attraction for Lindsey is off the charts but he's not one to commit to any woman, no matter how special she might be to him.

Good read with a twist at the end I wasn't expecting. Kept me turning the pages.

Another great read from HelenKay Dimon in the Corcoran Team series. Lindsey doesn’t mind an attractive man showing up at her door but when that attractive man let’s himself in to warn her that trouble’s coming she more than a little skeptical. Holt started his assignment hoping to infiltrate a commune to prove that they were more than a yoga retreat. But the sexy woman living close by is a bit of a temptation. And when he overhears a plot to kidnap her he knows that he has to blow his cover to keep her safe. As they battle to discover who’s after her they can’t deny the attraction that’s building. Will they be able to save Lindsey before her past catches up to her? Great, fun, fast paced read. Really enjoying this series.

Holt is undercover investigating a cult when he realizes that they are after Lindsey. He goes into protection mode and quickly finds himself attracted to her. He is determined to not go the same route as his friends and fights his feelings for her. I enjoyed this book, however I did find things that happened in this one similar to the previous book in the series. It was still good and I do recommend it to read. I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

"No slow opening here, as Dimon leads off with an exciting, steamy bang. The momentum of the action and suspense remains steady" (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars).

Sheltered by Helen Kay Dimon. Lindsey Pike is helping people get out of the cult. She doesn't know her uncle is running it. He thought he died years ago. Holt Kingston has been investigating this cult. He meets Lindsey and feeling happen between them. A good mystery and intrigue

Fast pacing and exciting, I like the heroine a lot. But I was a little confused by the Hero's romantic behavior at the very end after he was so steady throughout the book.
