After days of isolation, Sadie and Jackson are forced to confront feelings, nightmares, and grief. With a lost dog, stolen moments, and raw honesty, they discover that sometimes survival isn't about getting home... it's about opening your heart.
I loved it. That simple. I loved that its plot centres around DOC huts in New Zealand, it is a short read, free of fluff and wonderfully to the point. I enjoyed the MMC's vulnerability, which I don't see a lot of in other romance reads. The intimacy is tender too, another trait I don't see too much of. Refreshing and rare.
