P70 annoying to find MANY sentences missing small words .. eg. “We need to check in with sheriff’s department.”
Missing: the.
P126 “See who comes and go.”
P137 “the huge trunk of a pecan” tree ?
141 “wastes of time” ???
And the proofreader is ?!?
Setting: NE TX, Piney Woods, rural
Favorites: Parker the German Shepherd pup in training
Least favorite: improbable plot along with the grammar problems.
And “shined” versus “shone” .. too much of the first and none of the second.

Hold onto your cowboy hat and spurs, this story will take you on one wild ride. While Emma Cantrell is out in the woods training her new puppy, Parker, he takes off and finds a baby. Another woman comes along and grabs the little boy from Emma. She knows something isn't right then a man shows up shouting and asking where his son is. Gunner Jacobs came home to find his nanny and son gone, then his house burns down. This book kept me on the edge of my seat practically all night and I just had to finish it to see if they found the little boy,Caleb. Why did the nanny run off and who burnt the house down? More importantly , who has the boy and why? Will they be able to figure it all out before any harm comes to Caleb? I think this is my favorite book so far in this series. I can't wait for the next one! This sentence got my attention, " because she'd learn through the tough times that if you didn't have God on your side, you had no hope at all." How true is that? I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions are what I thought about the book.

You may need oxygen on standby for this adrenaline filled story. Time is precious as a child is missing.
Emma Cantrell is training her K-9 puppy, Parker, when she finds an infant child. She is attacked while trying to rescue the child. Gunner Jacobs is anxiously looking for his missing son. These two join forces to try and save his little boy.
Time is not on their side and someone has no problem killing anyone who gets in their way.
This rocket fueled mystery was full of suspense, a little romance and very engaging characters. The worst nightmare is a missing child, and I could not help but stay on pins and needles as the search progressed.
This author always brings plenty of drama and action to the page, while also providing a good faith element to the story as well.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Gunner Jacobs faces a parent's worst nightmare when he returns home to find his 10-month-old son missing. What follows is an emotionally charged, edge-of-your-seat search that kept me wondering if baby Caleb would ever be found.
Author Connie Queen shares a well-written story full of danger, suspense, and conflict. I loved the characters, including a special K-9 named Parker, and the hope, faith, and romance that fueled this engaging story. Searching for the Stolen Son is a great addition to the Thunder Ridge Justice series!

Thunder Ridge Justice has been such a fun series for me. I have loved the earlier stories with the Cantrell siblings so I was ready for the only sister to get her story. Emma’s story did not disappoint. The opening chapter immediately plunged me into the story and I couldn’t put it down. I devoured this story in one evening. I liked the dynamic between Gunnar and Emma and the mystery kept me guessing. We have two Cantrell brothers left and I can’t wait for their stories! I am definitely invested in this family and their happily ever afters!
