I didn’t know Debbie Cassidy could be so brutal until this series. Like the previous books, Wrathful and Avenging Gods savaged my soul, but it was worth it. Debbie kept me on my toes. There was a buildup of intrigue in almost every chapter, and just as we were getting to the good stuff, the POV would change, and the process would start all over again. I was hooked. The world-building was superb as usual. This book was one grand adventure, taking readers from one location to the next, where they encountered new and fantastical things, such as a ship made of clouds and dragon-like creatures, to name a couple of highlights.

It was revelation after revelation. My jaw might as well have stayed dropped. This book brought out big emotions. There was so much loss, I cried at certain parts, but I couldn’t put it down; the story was that good. The twists were so completely out of left field, even the epilogue left me shocked. Labyrinth of Gods was such an amazing series. It was a unique fantasy filled with mythology and heart-crushing romance. Wrathful and Avenging Gods wrapped up the series perfectly.

The end is coming, but it will not come quickly or easily. Brace yourself for tons of drama, a lot of world-building and revelations that will leave you with your jaw on the floor.

So much has happened since Leela discovered that she was more than just a mere human. She's lost those she loved, friends, and so much more. She still clings to the hope that Araz can be saved. But can he? Can they stop the primordial evil before he destroys everything?

This book will have you on the edge of your seat with this author's storytelling. The losses will pile up, but the truths? They will reveal something you never saw coming. In fact, this author will even have you feeling a pang of sympathy for one who is looking to destroy it all. Old friends will be reunited, and the truth will find the light.

If you're looking for an epic battle at the end...well, you'll be mildly disappointed. I was. But this author weaves an unexpected twist at the end, and it screams for a spin-off and I am here for it!!

What a great conclusion to this series! Loved seeing a few characters return from the first book. All my questions I’ve had were answered. Debbie is such an amazing writer! I read this entire book in one sitting (sorry to my family). The only thing I wish was different was that this was RH😅 for obvious reasons. Blue was fantastic once again. He is so funny and always keeps things interesting. My heart broke for a few characters. And that ending? Oh my lord! What a little twist it was and had me squealing! I’m glad the story is complete but I’ll definitely miss these characters a lot. They’ve all left an imprint. Highly recommend this series.

Like I said after book 1, this might be one of my favorite series by the author. It had an interesting premise and the world building and history kept me hooked.

I loved all of the backstory we finally learned, and although there was some sympathy, not enough for all. It was an enjoyable journey with these characters.

The pacing was a little iffy at times, however that ending made up for it. I was left wondering if we will be seeing more from this world.

I couldn't start this book fast enough! The ending in the previous book nearly flayed the flesh right off me, exposing my barely beating heart...if you want to know why, you're going to have to start this magnificent series...True to form, Debbie Cassidy hits the ground running, I'm already catching my breath from page 1 and choking up! Not only was my stomach in perpetual knots, this read made me squirm from anxiety, much like if I had a bad wedgie I couldn't get out of... you know... It ate at me, my very soul was bleeding for both Leela and Araz, my glory! Although there is much angst in this book, MUCH!!!! there's a beautiful thread of hope, of never giving up, that Debbie conveys superbly, like a safety net, one I cling to desperately!

This evil, ancient and powerful, is loose. Controlling all around him. Living in Araz. I'm not sure who's worse, the Authority or the primordial evil. Both are all about subservience and couldn't give 2 hoots eliminating anyone in their path. "The net cast by the Authority to alter true history” is an abomination of what most stand for, or what they should stand for. The primordial evil, well, he just wants everything and everyone under his control, stripped of their free will, subjugated to him. The people's, the god's, the intricate weaving of Debbie's storytelling, sets them apart from the norm, it elevates them, and the story, into a new dimension, bringing twist after twist. Lordie, do I love the various POVs, so darn tantalising. Ms Cassidy allows us to see only "so much", she obfuscates to perfection as she builds her story into a crescendo of events. And hell does she take me through the ringer along the way! She pummeled me with some events, she soothed me with others, she caressed me with yet more but what she never waived from, was her intricately crafted twisty turny tale.

It all comes back to the Deva, the gods. They, who were supposed to be benevolent, were the villains in their arrogance. They manipulated, they conived and then abandoned the world. Leaving a vacuum where greed, prejudice and control reigned in their stead. Which is where Leena found herself, which is where she learnt the truth about herself, who she really was, what she really was. Yeah, enough to blow anyone's mind. I loved her resilience, her inherent sense of right, her compassion and how fiercely she loves. After every has been taken from her, she never gives up, as Araz said, "I know you will always do what is right. You will do what needs to be done, and that is why I love you.” and she does, everything else can to right many wrongs. I adored her, and her very complicated relationships, yes, there were many: with her fellow deities, who became firm friends, with Araz, who wouldn't give her the time of day initially, to the most beautifully wrung love story that spanned eons. Araz just melted the socks off me, what a hunk! He evolved from only wanting to free his people from the control of the Asura, and loathing all Leena stands for, to almost being devoured. But it was the purity and ferocity of his love for Leena that was his saving grace, literally.

Oh heck is Blue fantabulous! He's so hilarious, it's impossible not to adore him. So many fabulous characters line up in this book, C'ael, Araz's best friend, Dodi who's just adorable, all of Leela's friend's, some...altered, but still firmly in her camp. Priti, is one who's so altered and so incredibly supportive, these words speak volumes, "Look how far you’ve come with only your grit, determination, and inner strength. I believed in you back at the sea trial when I put myself between you and the beast, and I believe in you now.” And she has, Leela has indeed come a long way since she first discovered she wasn't a normal "human". Her growth, all the characters growth, was sublime to behold.

I was hit with masses of revelations, so unexpected, my mouth hung open. My mouth screamed in the agony of WHAT Ms Cassidy did, a few times, and I sobbed! Good gracious, when she turned it up even more, I felt as though I'd been run over by a herd of bison! And using her immense talent for the dramatic, she floored me right at the end! Never expect the expected from this talented author, EVER! But expect a ride through every conceivable emotion to toss you around like driftwood...This enemies to lovers read was super emotional, tearing me apart as much as the primordial evil was tearing this world and people apart. This complex world, these complex characters, this complex plot, all come together perfectly in this finale. True, my heart was destroyed many a time by Ms Cassidy but she lovingly nursed it back to health, albeit painfully.... I'm still reeling from the final few sentences in the book....Do you know how phenomenal this series is? You do if you've read it, if you haven't, WHAT are you waiting for?

Wow… what a way to end the series!

Debbie Cassidy is a genius… When I started this series, I had to take pictures of the Glossy pages for easy reference since there were so many new terms, which was extremely helpful. The world building is absolutely incredible, and I fell in love with all of the characters. I am sad to see this series end, but there was one specific storyline that felt unfinished, so I am hoping that it means that there will be a spin-off!

This book kicks off right when the previous book ended with Leela trying to flee Aakash Sansaar after failing her mission to stop the primordial evil from taking the seat. Now she is trying desperately to get away, even though her heart is broken realizing that Araz was not the one she had been intimate with and all of her friends being taken control of by the primordial evil. Trying to regroup with those who are left, every time they start to make a plan, they seem to get bested or go awry. One fantastic thing that does happen is that Pashim makes his appearance back in the living, and she is also able to see Priti again briefly in her new role.

Blue, on the other hand, is the only one of his kind who is still awake, and he sorta becomes a pet to the primordial evil, but he is secretly trying to find out everything he can so he can escape to help the others with all the knowledge he’d need.

What we discover about who and what the primordial evil is so interesting… but I am not going to ruin the story! Just know that this series is completely amazing, Leela and Araz get their happily ever after, and the ending leaves you flabbergasted (in a way). Gahhhh there were points in the book where I was scared to continue because I was so invested in the characters and would hate to see any more of them die because of the war – and right there towards the end you aren’t even sure that ANYONE will live… lol but thankfully, Debbie wouldn’t do that to her faithful readers!!!

I wholeheartedly recommend not only this book but the whole series! It will blow you away!

Wrathful and Avenging Gods by Debbie Cassidy absolutely delivers the kind of epic, emotionally charged conclusion that leaves your heart pounding long after you’ve turned the final page.
Leela stands at the center of this storm, and what a force she is. She’s not just fighting enemies — she’s fighting fate, betrayal, and the crushing weight of impossible choices. Watching her step fully into her power is nothing short of exhilarating. She carries both fury and heartbreak in equal measure, and it makes her strength feel real and earned. There’s vulnerability beneath her resolve, and that balance makes her impossible not to root for.
And then there’s Araz. Powerful, commanding, and layered with more emotion than he lets the world see, he isn’t just a warrior — he’s a man torn between duty and love. His strength as well as his love for Leela shine bright in the midst of his battle. The love between them feels electric, especially when the odds seem stacked against their very existence. Their bond doesn’t weaken under pressure — it sharpens.
The world-building continues to expand in breathtaking ways. Gods are not distant myths here; they are wrathful, passionate, and devastatingly human in their flaws. Every alliance feels fragile. Every betrayal cuts deep. The stakes aren’t abstract — they’re personal.
What truly elevates this book is how the battles mirror the emotional journey. The external war rages, but the internal struggles hit just as hard. Love, vengeance, loyalty, and sacrifice are woven seamlessly into the action, making every victory feel costly and every setback feel brutal. Its the beauty of every Cassidy book where side characters shine. She takes so much passion and depth ensuring everyone has a place and the story benefits from it.
This isn’t just another fantasy romance installment. It’s a story about claiming power, protecting what matters, and refusing to bow — even when gods themselves demand it.
An unforgettable, high-intensity ride that proves wrath and love can exist in the same breath.

This book series as a whole absolutely grabbed my hand and whispered run. I devoured all of these books like my life depended on it. This book was no different. Every page seemed to hold a truth, epiphany, climax, or fear. Gripping you so you can’t take your eyes from the page due to the sheer NEED to know what will happen or be revealed next. There was so much drama and intrigue, along with intense emotion and a desperate hope that everything would just go right for once.
Leela and Araz absolutely could not catch a break. And poor blue got caught up in the bad luck this time too. With Leela essentially on the run, Araz being a secret backseat in his own head, and blue locked in a cage forced to play bestie with the Evil walking around in Araz’s skin suit, things look bleak for not just the team, but this world. So much is revealed, including a backstory on the Primordial Evil. One of those backstory’s that makes you sympathetic towards the bad guy.
Gotta read it to find out how his backstory pulls at your heartstrings. Not enough for a defense on his actions. But definitely a villain arc that makes it all kind of make sense. In a sort of twisted way. Intrigued yet? I hope so. Not reading it would be an injustice to yourself.
I was a little disappointed about not seeing more for that final plot twist the author snuck in there at the end. My brain is running way too wild on all the possibilities. Definitely a “I need answers bc the speculation is killing me” situation. I’m also unsure if the information was just buried and I didn’t comprehend the connection, or if we never got answers about the countdown Pashim got from Pritti. If someone notes that in their read, pleeeease let me know.

Final book in the Labyrinth of the Gods series, with Leela's story coming to a close, and I am sad to see it end but very satisfied nonetheless. I love this world, and I am so excited to see how she might expand on it.

Oh my gods. This was so beautiful and poetic for me. I loved how, after Leela's grief and the somberness of the previous book, the ending lit a fire under her to do what she needed to do, even though her heart is still aching and the path in front of her is fraught with so much that you wonder if there will be a happy ending.

So many things happened that I want to gush about, but I dare not spoil anything because it is full of revelations. For those already reading this series, or those who may have heard about it and want to look into it, I do not want to take away from the intense emotions and experiences in this book. I feel like Debbie put so much care into these characters and the storytelling. I felt it deeply, and it brought me to tears. This series is so touching and filled with so much compassion, with both difficult and beautiful moments.

If you are a Debbie Cassidy lover, then you will love this series, and if you are already reading it, you will be satisfied by the ending. If you are not familiar or have never read Debbie Cassidy, then my question is, why not? This is so worth diving into. Pick up this series and become a fan, then be excited to know you have so much more from her to read.

Just as I am finishing this review and the story rushing through my mind I just find myself wanting to continue to talk about it! I got an ARC copy and I am so lucky to have been and still buying the book and cannot wait to read it again.

Rating: 4.2 stars

I did deduct 0.5 stars because the ending just ended too abruptly (imo). It went straight from the climax to "4 years later" without the usual chapter of resolution first to wrap everything up. It kept me from feeling the usual series satisfaction and closure, so I am bummed about that.

The other 0.3 star reduction was just because I struggled to picture some things and remember who some people were. Debbie's world building is always AMAZING and incredibly vast—but that can make it impossible to keep straight in your mind. It would have helped SO MUCH to have just a few words to help jog our memory for who some of the smaller supporting characters are, and especially with a brief description of the flying creature that wasn't a thunderbird or what the stone-faced brothers ride. There were no clues whatsoever for me to figure out what this creature even was, aside from the fact that it could fly. It was just frustrating to feel so lost when it could have been remedied so easily.

Otherwise, this was of course another fantastic book! So much came together, and I just couldn't believe how much worse things still kept getting for Leela. All the mysteries are finally revealed, with another twist that I thought was excellent.

It was a great read, with some VERY intriguing setup for a follow-up series! I definitely enjoyed Leela's story through this series, it was incredibly gripping and raw. She was so relatable but also incredibly inspiring. Loved it!

Entertainment and Intriguing Series!

When I first started reading this series I was completely swept away. I was super invested in the story and its characters. I think the author did an amazing job of creating a very original and imaginative tell. I am not a writer but I assume that writing a series is no easy feat. I mention this, because for me the first two books of this series were super engaging, captivating and truly outstanding. Nevertheless, I felt that in the third book the story got over complicated and that many of the characters that made it special where hardly in mentioned. Even though reading this final and fourth book was very entertaining to read, it wasn’t at the level of the first two books. I felt lost at times trying to remember who is who and the story felt a bit rushed. A good ending, that had the potential of being great. it’s like the author put all her passion and energy in the first two books and lost a bit of that energy on the last two. I would also like to point out that in general all authors that publish a series, should make an effort to write a small summary of the previous book at the beginning of each book. Very few authors do so, and for an avid reader like myself, sometimes it is difficult to remember details of the previous book when more than a few months have passed by and you have read other books in between. Enjoy 🥰

HEA in war torn world
Final in series - could definitely see this being a spin off series too, Debbie left some wiggle room there at the end. Make sure you read the other 3 books prior to this one, this is a very detailed, world-building novel, Debbie has done an amazing job with the different beings and gods that interact, and there are a lot of them. I was so ready to get into this final book, its been a minute since I read the last one so I did have to take some time and re-read through the glossary again.
We left off in the last. book where Leela had to flee because the primordial evil being had taken over her lover's form as a vessel. Araz was able to alert Leela to this so she could escape with the help of her friends. As Leela regroups, she and those who are with her work tirelessly to find a way to eliminate the primordial evil, but so many losses are suffered along the way - it was absolutely devastating. We find out the truth of so many things in this final book, suspicions along the way confirmed. Everyone has their part to play, even Blue, her anchor is key to ensuring they can defeat the primordial evil bieng. The end is a true surprise twist and a great end to this series.

Wrathful and Avenging Gods by Debbie Casiddy is the last book in Leela's story.

If you love action-packed fantasy with rich world-building and unforgettable characters, this book absolutely delivers.

From the start I was pulled back into this perfectly crafted world filled with action, mythical creatures and super high stakes.

The world-building is amazing and full of details, and it was very easy to imagine everything. The story is fast-paced and full of action, so I was never bored. It kept me on my toes the whole time.

Leela is a very strong character, and I loved how determined she was to get Araz back and save the realm. Nothing could stop her, and that made me love her even more.
All the characters were great, but Blue was my favourite. He is funny, smart, and just makes every scene better. I would honestly read a whole series just about his adventures.
I also really loved C’ael, Pashim, and Ravi—they will always have a special place in my heart. And I feel like Kalani and Priti still have more story to tell, so I hope we see more of them in the future.

The ending was mind-blowing. I did not expect it at all, and now I really want more.

Overall, this was an exciting and emotional read, and I highly recommend it.

Wrathful and Avenging Gods by Debbie Cassidy final book in Labyrinth Gods series.

It's the end and I don't want it to happen. Leela, Araz and every one else are such wonderful characters. I am totally obsessed with them.
Leela faces the overwhelming burden of saving the world, finding alliances and an army against an unknown entity. With her trusty group of friends she faces dragons, storms and eels to find a solution in saving her twin flame, Araz. Truths are revealed, lost friends are found and some are lost.
This action packed, suspense driven plot bring a exciting, exhilarating end to a unique story. Hindi mythology meets fantasy romance.

desperate for more!

“Every living thing has an end, so a new beginning can take root and bloom” I love how much like a beginning the ending was, like yes everything must have an end so a new beginning can begin, even this story. This is definitely a binge read type of series you just want to sit down and devour, over and over! The author made sure to give us closure on even smaller loose-ends, which I appreciated.

I feel like this book gave us the ultimate puzzle piece and connection to so many other stories and it makes me want to dig back through to make sure I collected every single potential breadcrumb - and then the twist at the end was chef’s kiss!! I really love that though I had picked up so many puzzle pieces and breadcrumbs I still couldn’t guess exactly what was going to happen, it was refreshing to get to live through the excitement of the reveals and being like what! What!! WHAT!  I’m hoping for a spinoff because I’m desperate for more in this universe!!

If you love redemption, full circle, stories with breadcrumbs and puzzle pieces, or fierce heroines you’ll love this series!

I went into this one already emotionally unstable after book three and somehow it still managed to wreck me all over again.

Leela has been through so much at this point and you can feel the weight of it in everything she does. She’s stronger, but it’s not easy strength. It’s the kind that comes from losing everything and still choosing to keep going. I love her for that. I really do.

And Araz… I don’t even know how to explain him anymore. The tension, the pain, the history between them just keeps building and building. Every scene with him had me holding my breath a little.

This book feels bigger. The world opens up more, the stakes are higher, and the twists just keep coming. I had so many moments where I had to stop and just process what I read. Nothing is simple and nothing is safe.

It’s emotional, intense, and honestly a little brutal at times, but in a way that makes you completely unable to look away. By the end I was exhausted, in the best way, and fully aware that this series has me in a chokehold.

I’m not ready to let these characters go!!! Sad that the series has ended.

I know it’s over, but it can’t be over! I loved this world, and of course, Leela, Araz, and their friends. They’re unstoppable because of their love for each other – all of them (of course, some more than others). A twist? You almost feel sorry for the bad guy. Almost. It’s fleeting. But the best part of it is the writing that makes a reader feel that many complicated emotions. Cassidy has that in spades. Love is never black and white, or one size fits all, but it does give her characters the power to do just about anything. Dare I hint – even come back from the dead??

Now…the open doors at the end…rude. Yes, the story technically ends, but there’s just enough that leaves you saying “WHAT?!” or “what about xyz?” It’s perfect, because we can all dream about future books in this world, which would be GREAT. But if there aren’t any more, readers will be just as satisfied if this is where it ends. Before you try, no, you will not guess what happens. You’ll guess some things that you think will happen at the end, but it’ll end up being just a few pieces. The whole of the ending is unimaginable, and I can’t wait for you to find out!

This book covered so much ground, old faces reappearing and some disappearing, literally!

We find out who the Primordial Evil actually is and what his true purpose was and it is more than a little surprising. Leela is desperately trying to save everyone and gather troops for the final stand but it gradually becomes clear that at the end she will have to face this battle alone.

There are lots of shocks, surprises and big reveals but the ending itself was very surprising. Although Leela and Araz's story seems to be completed there seemed to be some open ends and the epilogue seemed to raise more questions than it answered. I'm hoping there will be some more books set in this world (there is scope for this) that may answer these questions and as this this author often does cameos of previous characters in future books so I am hoping we get the answers at some point!

Overall though this was an absolutely amazing series that kept me on the edge of my seat with often nervous knee bouncing! I highly recommend this book and this series

Debbie Cassidy crushed it again! I couldn't believe the ending of this series! Debbie always amazes me, and this time was no different! I enjoyed how all the various groups and peoples came together to bring safety and justice to Leela's world. She had to do everything in her power to fight against the primordial evil. I have to admit that I did have to go back in the series to familiarize myself with some of the terms and descriptions and people. Which, I was so desperate to finish this story I just jumped right in. If I were to do it all over again, I would have quickly run back through the first three books before attempting this last one! Other than my limits to understanding and remembering how everyone and each domain fit together, I was so amazed by the plot and characters. Even the ending, which was a bit unusual for Debbie, fit the strangeness of the series, even though it was a bit creepy to me and leaves an opening for another series to connect to this one! This is a definite must read. This series was so good, i can easily see this as a frequent re-read.

Wrathful And Avenging Gods: Labyrinth of Gods by Debbie Cassidy is a phenomenal ending to the series. This book picks up where the last left off and keeps the momentum going. With the primordial evil growing stronger now taking control of the throne, the Asura and many others, Lela is left scrambling to find allies and trying to discover his ultimate goal. Can they find his goal.and a way to defeat him before it's too late and can Lela save Araz in the process?
This book has a lot going on including plenty of suspense, action, twists and turns. There are new characters and old ones return, while others are lost. There is romance but if you're looking for lots of spice this book is a little lite and definitely plot/action heavy.
If you enjoy romance, mythology, suspense, action, amazing world-building, interesting characters from myths, plenty of both physical and mental strength and sacrifice with lots of chemistry and a little heat then you can't miss the conclusion to Labyrinth of Gods!

Good Lord. I am absolutely obsessed with this author… But man does she take me on a roller coaster with every single series. I guess I am the problem because I keep coming back for more. I was absolutely wrecked by the cliffhanger in the third book, and although there was some trials and BS that had to be gotten through in the fourth book, I think that the series might be my favorite so far out of this author. I know it took me a few days to get through it, but honestly, the emotional turmoil and roller coaster that I was taken on kind of took a toll out of me. I got all of the emotions and sometimes back to back to back. We do not regret losing sleep over this series over here, but now I’m going to be sitting here twiddling my thumbs trying to figure out what to do with myself until this author decides to torture me with another series. Yeah… wooo…. This series is probably going to end up on my yearly reread list. Very well done! And I can’t wait to see how I’m emotionally tortured next by Debbie Cassidy.

Wow... I loved Wrathful and Avenging Gods. I found it to be very fast paced form the first page. I was pulled into amazing scenes filled with lots of action and lots of intrigue. Miss Cassidy doesn't disappoint, when she sets out to write she does it with positive strengths and lots of gusto.
Our FMC is strong even when she is feeling down from the events that have happened previously. She doesn't let things bring her down because she is a survivor. When confronted with danger she faces it head on knowing that Evil always looses the fight all the time.
The MMC is Strong, Fierce and protective when it comes to the FMC. He to doesn't turn away from danger. He faces it head on and defeats the danger with Strength.
So, if you love a Strong FMC, A Protective MMC, Heated Romance scenes and Awesome Battle scenes then I highly recommend that you read the Labyrinth of Gods... It has it all.

The primordial evil is free, residing in Araz' body and occupying the throne. With almost everyone under his power, Leela is desperate to secure at least some allies to stand a chance against the force. Yet her options are quickly running out, and every plan they can come up with seems to be flawed or not work. Slowly losing friends and with weakening connection to Araz, she starts to lose hope, too.. but her endless determination can carry her through the hardest obstacles. Not unscathed, not without scars, but Leela is a survivor and will fight until her last breath.
The last book in this series is full of revelations, truth bombs, and action so addicting it is impossible to put the book down once started. I felt every page with Leela, Araz, C'ael, Blue, and all the other characters, as they faced impossible odds to reunite with their loved ones and save the world. Even the epilogue is a bomb, but I absolutely loved every moment of it!

Action packed, high stakes, and mythology rich. Wrathful & Avenging Gods delivers a fierce, emotional finale to the Labyrinth of Gods series.

We are thrown straight into the aftermath of betrayal. Leela is cut off from the sky world, her loved ones under the control of the primordial evil, and the throne was stolen right out from under her. Leela’s determination to reclaim her people and Araz gives the book a raw emotional feel that makes every battle, every ally, every bit of ground they gain feel like it was truly earned.

The stakes were higher than we may have realized heading into this and Debbie pulled no punches. But we are left with a glimmer of possibilities for spin offs that could feature familiar and new faces alike. The ending jumped from the end of the war to the flash forward quickly and I would have liked to see the aftermath flushed out a bit more for what came after the finale battle. Here’s to hoping for more from this captivating world!

I just finished The Wrathful and Avenging Gods by Debbie Cassidy and I’m honestly still recovering.

What an absolutely epic finale. The stakes felt higher than ever, every confrontation hit hard, and the emotional payoff was so worth the journey. Cassidy really delivered on everything she’d been building—power, sacrifice, loyalty, and those intense, edge-of-your-seat moments that make you forget to breathe while reading.

But as incredible as the ending was, it also left me with that bittersweet ache. Things wrapped up in a way that felt meaningful and earned, yet not without loss and lingering “what ifs.” I love when a story can do that—give you closure, but still leave echoes behind.

And honestly? I wouldn’t say no to more. There’s definitely space to explore what comes next, and I’d jump back into this world in a heartbeat.

An unforgettable finale that balances epic action with emotional depth—equal parts satisfying and haunting.

Wow. The final installment did not disappoint!

This book was very intense from the first page. Leelas fight against the primordial evil was only going to get more intense. She is thrown into trying to fight the evil that has Araz trapped and is threatening their world.

She is fighting so hard but trying to protect everyone around her.

The battles are another level in this book and had me on the edge of my seat. Leela, C'ael and the return of some characters from the previous books work together to get enough people together to fight for their world.

As always Blue has me laughing out loud, such a character, her loyalty to Leela and to Araz too is so heartwarming.

This world and the characters are so well written and i cant help but think that Debbie has left some wiggle room for some cross overs in the future with some character stories feeling slightly unfinished. I look forward to seeing if those come to light.

With this book, Leela’s journey gains an ending. From the first page readers are thrust into turmoil, heartache, and the ever present wondering of if Leela can do everything needed to set Araz free and save the world.

While I found the ending a bit slow and not typical for this writer (there’s usually some extreme bravery and well-intentioned potential self-sacrifice involved), things were tied up nicely with a small door left cracked for spinoff series in this world.

In this book I found Leela’s characterization to be the most human. As she’s transitioning to something more, you get a front row to her pain, her doubts, her utter “humanity.” It was refreshing. That combined with moving pieces set across so many “fronts” brought to mind epic fantasies I’ve read and enjoyed. Mid book twists keep things interesting and of course it’s not a book by this author without some type of cliffhanger/mic drop ending.

This series has officially landed in my top 3 favorites by Debbie Cassidy. It’s just that good. I absolutely love these characters, though I must admit I did miss having more of Araz in this final book since he is one of my favorite characters.

Debbie is my go-to author for kingdom-building because she’s on a different level and never disappoints. This series kept me hooked all the way through to the point where I didn’t want to put this novel down. If I were to provide feedback, I would say the ending felt rushed. After such a massive build-up, I wanted a bigger scene; I think there was real potential for a more detailed battle, especially with the dead, to wrap things up.

Debbie, please tell me you’re setting us up for more! I’m not ready to leave this universe yet, and continuing this journey would be incredible. 10/10!

Wrathful and Avenging Gods is the final book in the Labyrinth of Gods series (or is it because I feel like an opening was left to possibly continue the story). The world-building remains top-tier as the mythology deepens, and the shifting power dynamics between the gods keep the tension at a boiling point throughout. It’s a dark, atmospheric read that doesn't hold back on the grit or the complicated, multi-layered relationships that define this saga. Readers should definitely check the content warnings, as the book features explicit violence, dark themes, and some intense situations involving kidnapping and coercion. I love that Leela and Araz seem to have gotten their HEA, the epilogue has me scratching my head on the questions that were not answered.

Overall, this was a fantastic series that kept me wanting to read just one more page until I ended up staying up all night!
