Skylar had a chat with her dad. He had said some strange things she didn't understand, but he said he would explain when he saw her. Next thing she knows he was killed in a car accident. She is 'hit' with more surprises at the reading of the will, that included having two pregnant girls living with her until they gave birth then she was to adopt the babies! But there is more going on than what meets the eye. Who can she trust? Doesn't look like hardly anyone. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

An incredible new series from this fantastic author. It concerns Skylar, the daughter of an extremely wealthy man, who has been traveling the world before she settles down (her father’s dream). Before she returns home for a scheduled visit, her father is killed in an automobile accident. Of course she returns immediately. Before she even settles into her father’s mansion, and, within several days, and without even knowing what she has inherited, the craziness begins. What in the world is happening? Strangers are showing up saying that they now live with her and she will be adopting their babies. Her aunt appears with a furniture truck and says that she is moving in. Every direction Skylar moves in, in order to try to understand what is happening, is countered by a bizarre happening by someone supposedly favored by her dead father and named in his will. Interaction with the attorney which should be routine is crazy; also interaction with the family accountant goes awry. Twists and turns in this story are absolutely incredible. I had to put it down for a while to take a breath. What Skylar was facing at every turn was unbelievable. I highly recommend this incredible story and hope that I never have to face anything like this insanity. If this is a series, I am really looking forward to a second novel. If not, this is a fantastic one only story. Great work by this very talented author.

After traveling in Africa, Skylar returns home for her father's funeral. As Fred's on child, Skylar inherits his mass estate. What she learns about his life has her wondering just how well she knew her father. She sees things that are not what she would believe her father to do. Yes, he wanted grandchildren, but, two pregnant girls are being moved into the mansion. He Aunt Jan, Fred's sister is also moving in. Things are moving very fast and Skylar can't keep up. This is a fast paced, action packed first book of the series. I believe it's going to be an great series by Maggie Thom.

Who do you trust when your world is turned upside down with the news that your father has died suddenly leaving instructions that two pregnant women are to live in the family house? Was he that desperate to have grandchildren? Why is no one giving me an opportunity to ask questions including the accountant, attorney and her aunt. Who was searching in her father’s study? This is one of the best suspenseful stories I have read? Thanks to the author for an advanced reader copy; the review is my honest opinion.

Concealed Inheritance is the first book in The Family Heir Looms Series and is an amazing start to this new series. The characters are interesting and keep you invested in their lives. The story has death, drama, danger, and twists and turns. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said. This author writes some cracking stories and this one is up there with the best of them. I enjoyed it immensely, couldn’t put it down. Read every word ravenously right through the ending I didn’t see coming. What will the next book be about i wonder. Highly recommended.

What an intriguing book, well written, strong characters. Skylar comes home for her father’s funeral. Along with the sadness there are many secrets to uncover. Will she uncover them or wonder what happened for the rest of her life. Don’t miss out once it’s released.
