Super histoire jeunesse toute mimi qui change de d’habitude ! Le perso principal grumpy et sarcastique j’ai trouvé ça trop cool, ça change des rayons de soleil qu’on voit en jeunesse d’habitude 🤭 et même l’histoire est sympa de ouf, avec des rebondissements qu’on voit pas forcément :)

Very short review : *not* an adventure story, but a grounded-in-reality treasure hunt with a supernatural element that doesn't tempers with the fact the girls are twelve yo, aren't free to do whatever they want, and need adults' help at some point. Even the conclusion is a bit bitter, but totally in the novel's tone.
It's more about harassment, how one of the girls made herself an armor to let things bounce on her but repels *everything*, even nice people, and needs to open up a bit again, while the other has to learn how to stand for herself because adults *won't* help at all. (Been there, done that (with a drawing board, quarter of a century ago).)

It's not the kind of treasure hunt made to make you travel or dream, but a nice coming-of-age story.

7/10, rounded down to three stars (a bit *too* cynical and Jo really is hard to connect with, even as a reader).

Une chouette histoire pour les enfants dès 9 ans. On a de l'aventure, du rire et surtout une bonne dose de caractère bien trempé ! C'était très prenant.
