Betrayed by their friends and pursued by everyone's favorite bounty hunter, Han and Leia try to escape from Nar Shaddaa. Meanwhile, the Rebels in combat over the planet Calamari receive aid from an unexpected source, and Luke falls deeper into the grip of the dark side!
Tom Veitch was an American writer, known for his work in the comic book industry. He was also a novelist and a poet. He was the brother of comics writer and artist Rick Veitch.
The storytelling of the early Star Wars Dark Horse books were really over the top; Devastators, cloned emperors, and Dark Jedi but those were what gave it its charm. Remember, we were still years away from any new Star Wars movie and Dark Horse did a great job in whetting the fans' appetites for Star Wars material. In a related note, Boba Fett returned in this issue!
Luke sempre più sul filo del rasoio. Sta solo fingendo di allearsi a Palpatine oppure ne sta venendo davvero controllato? Intanto Leia e Han sono in fuga. Un albo pieno di eventi anche quando l'azione sembra mancare. 4 stelle.
A famous comic in the SW EU with the return of a long thought lost fan favourite bad guy. So interesting and since adapted Disney SW plot points and Luke teetering on jo8ning the Dark side. All good typical SW stuff. Thumbs up.
I'm not convinced by how they portray Boba Fett in the comic; he feels like a different character. However, Leia's arrival in Byss is interesting and triggers events that promise for the future.

Well, all is set now. Han and Leia left Nar Shaddaa with Boba Fett chasing. Yes, Boba's alive! My son is so happy and there's a Slave 2. Now FFG will need to release a new ship for the X-Wing game. ;)
They bolt to the water planet of Calamari in the Starlight Intruder. Once there, Boba is turned away and Leia takes control of the Falcon and flies Han and Chewie to find Luke. Ninx and Salla take off with the Falcon after the others were captured.
Luke is deep within the dark side to learn their ways. The Emperor is aware of Luke's reluctance. For instance, Luke was able to destroy one of the Imperial ships. The Emperor expects some damage from Luke. To him, that makes Luke even weaker; the dark side feeds on weakness and anger.
Will Luke go too far into the dark side that he can't come out? That is the question.
I have come to really enjoy this series. Even the four pages of backstory at the end. It is filling in the gaps for me. Even the letters on pink glossy are helpful although I struggle to read that text. We are in year 6 after the Battle of Endor, where Darth Vader died.
Good stuff and the art has absolutely grown on me . . . particularly the ships. But I also like the layout, which is different from comics that I read.

Una grapa que lo ha tenido todo. Inicio trepidante con Fett al frente y con un desenlace que te deja con la boca abierta y deseando coger la grapa siguiente. Así es como debe ser.
