I do not like fast-food or take-away meals, and quite often, the food I come across daily, is pretty poor. Some people regard eating as merely fueling the body, but in my opinion, food is one of the great pleasures in life. Food does not need to be complicated or expensive to be good, and should be enjoyed wherever, and whenever, possible.
So to enjoy good food, I taught myself to cook. I also discovered the pleasure of cooking for others, and sharing in their enjoyment of something I had created.
The recipes in this book are some of my favourite dishes. They are an eclectic mix of cuisines spanning the globe; my own brand of cooking. They have all been cooked many times, and people always seem to keep coming back for more.
