This was so sweet! This book was pretty low angst and really nothing but sweetness. Asante and Bishop's relationship started so organically, and watching them overcome the obstacles in their way while coming to love each other was just cute. One of my favorite things about this book was Rook. His overwhelming bond with his brother and his relentless desire to make sure Bishop not only was heard but also had his share of happiness in whatever form it took were not only sweet as hell but also heartwarming.

I received this as an ARC and I’m so glad I did ! I finished in one setting. I’ve only read a couple MM romances so while I don’t have much to reference, I thoroughly enjoyed Asante and bishops story. This is surprisingly M.L’s tamest book when it comes to the smut side of writing but the story is enough on its on (the plot was plotting !)

I’ve been excited to read Asante and Bishop’s backstory ever since I finished Rook’s book, and it did not disappoint. Even though we learned a lot about their relationship in book two, getting their POV made everything hit even harder. Asante is such a patient man; he loved Bishop with everything in him, so seeing their love story unfold was amazing. I can’t wait to read Bishop’s book to see where they are now. Highly recommend this series if you haven’t picked it up yet!

I love a MM romance and ML did Bishop and Asante’s story so much justice. Love how they started with the settle flirting and things grow from there. One thing i appreciate about Asante he was not willing to let Bishop play with him up front. Like know what you want and don’t be scared. Once things started going is was so sweet. The passion and attention a MM book gets is so heartwarming and tense in the best way.
The brothers are A1 in my book. They’re truly an outstanding family. Rook was so funny but he doesn’t play about Bishop. Hell none of them do. What they did for Bishop so he can have his happiness really makes you love the story even more. Bishop falling in love and being completely comfortable is top tier.
Lastly, the leading up to the end really had me stopping to smile. Family is what you make it and Asante has found his family. All the sweet things had me taking notes for what i may want once i find my person.

Do y’all SEE how long I’ve been reading this book? I feel like that should say enough.
Only sheer stubbornness gave me the strength to not DNF.
It’s not bad, per se. It’s also not good, either. Considering what the story is about, this novel did not need to be as long as it was. And it’s not even a long book. The most interesting part of the book is the beginning. Then once I got to about chapter 7/8, I was just wondering why there was still more left to read. Two plot points dragged this out when I know, and the author knows damn well, the book could’ve been about 5 chapters lighter.
I need to leave romance alone for a bit and go back to thrillers and lit fic.

This was everything I loved their relationship so much. I loved that no matter what Bishop was going to be with his man. I loved how supportive Bishops family was and didn’t care what other people thought. I could still punch Asantes parent in their throat but forget them. I do wish there was more sword crossing though

This book was in just a repeat of Rook told from a different point of view. There were no new key details shared. We learned more about Asantes bar and his family but it wasn't impactful to the story line.

This damn book was so fucking great. Asante, I love you. I need you in my life.
Just look at how satisfying his mindset was. It was so freaking str8 and he had all of his ideas very clear. I swear I had a lot of time with no reading such a strong hero.
Bruh. The way I loved how he expressed. The way I loved his self love was just insane. Because Asante is such an amazing main character with strong characteristics. He was amazing and he is definitely in the top of my book boyfriends. He was beyond perfection.
The relationship Bishop and Asante was fucking great from the very first moment and the chemistry, the tension, the longing, was just IT!!!! They were so freaking cute. I was so sad for Asante because he was so willing to sacrifice so many things to with Bishop. He is just the perfect man.
Seriously I can't get enough of those conversations he had with others expressing how much he loved himself. The way he was not willing to sacrifice his life to make others happy is just so good. Because there's always the MC that want to please others so they do what they DON'T want. And this man is just perfect.

What in the Wattpad was this mess?
Actually Wattpad has some decent writers. So what the hell was this shit?
A LOT of things in this book made absolutely no sense at all!
Old money but they moved nothing like it.
When did they even fall in love? When did they even realize it?
If you’re old money why did Rook have to marry to save cash?
You’re telling me that they had politicians, athletes etc at the wedding when nothing about this book showed enough of a pull to have powerful people at their feet? Because passport business isn’t enough when you barely show what the empire looks like.
Suddenly Bishop was planning weddings and spending chapters talking about love to other people, when he’d been perceived as the quiet one? He seemed like a totally different character and we didn’t get to see how he got to that point.
So many errors and made up words because wtf is “swahilian”?
Why are people “climbing up” to their feet?
Asante is introducing Bishop to his parents but he says “Asante these are my parents”.
Everything about this book should have stayed in the drafts.

Everything came together beautifully, with them ending up married, and Bishop’s brothers and father giving heartfelt, supportive speeches and their full blessing. Rook standing ten toes down for Bishop and helping make the marriage to Asante possible was the perfect touch.

I love Asante down! You know you all that when you on the cover of the family book and you just married in!!!! Lmao! This book wasn’t at all what I expected! I really thought it was gonna be some dangerous mafia situation and I was scared the whole time. Whole time, this was pillowy soft and feel good lol. I love the brotherhood omg. I love the journey to self acceptance! All of it. The love between Bishop and Asante! Their chemistry was sooooo sexy! So sweet! I loved the flirts. The family support from the Barrons omg. They was good. I took away a star for some simple grammatical errors and I think one the chapters the name kept getting switched. But overall this was sweet and cute!

Ok so this book was amazing! It was absolutely beautifully well written. I loved how the author gave both sides of homosexual acceptance and disapproval in African American family culture. I loved how strong and weak both characters were portrayed as, showing weakness within the African American male community really shed some light on what emotional and mental trials we endure within said LGBTQIA community. I truly connected with this book. If you love a good trials and tribulations book which love still wins, in a minority cultural setting; with some explicit sexual descriptions, I implore you to go grab this book and read it.

We love a barron family member. And I absolutely couldn't ask more for Bishop and Asante, there love was so pure and true...I loved that for my too guys. I loved how Bishops fam was there tenfold to support the union and both he and Asante gave Asante ppl chances to be in their life, even though they suck, I think making sure to offer that chance knowing what they would miss out on and making sure ties were clear was great. I really can't wait to see where we go from here and their kid situation??

to be a Barron really is the best
One thing for sure, those Barrons do not play about each other; even the spouses!! Reading Bishop being loved so loud & deep was literally everything. Asante isn’t playing about his man AT ALL & he’s letting that be known out the gate he’ll go to war for him & cut off anyone behind that man!!!! The brothers all taking the time to make sure Bishop felt loved, his parents making sure he felt loved & seen & how everyone accepted Asante was truly everything!! Such an amazing read!!

This was so cute. Seeing the interest build, the undeniable connection, the withdrawals and doubt, it was so intricately placed and written so well. I truly enjoyed Asante and Bishop's journey. The true feelings that come with being bisexuality and the families of those who are. This was really great. I love their love and love Bishop always. I love the Barron family. Period.

A New Beginning
Another part of the series down. This was such a good story. I'm glad they got the ending they wanted. I'm sad Asante's entire family wasn't on board but he got a whole other family in the end. Asante is not only a husband but a brother and son to the Barrons. The Barron Family is something special. I like how they all come together every time to support each other. Now I'm ready for King's story.

This was definitely my favorite out of the series. However I thought the repeated pages from the previous books was high key lazy to the point that there was a section that was in Rooks POV that should have been in Bishops but since it was copied it wasn’t changed. Also while im a few years late I think the book should have been called Bishop…because you know the theme lol but over all it was my favorite. Pure 4 stars no rounding if anything it’s 4.5

M/M romance which highlights the importance of living for yourself and not your parents, siblings, tradition, religion, or society. I thought Knight’s love story was going to be my fav of the series but Asante’s easily takes the cake!

All the feels
This was beautifully written. There was spice and so much reality. This book was absolutly needed for the community. I laugh, fanned myself, and even cried. I enjoyed all aspects of this book. It's a must read.

I enjoyed reading this saga. ML Bash did and awesome job of showcasing Bishop and Asante’s love. My favorite parts was how the family reassured Bishop on their love and his place in the family as well as how they welcomed Asante in. This book was awesome!

I think that it's a special skill to be able to write a book, it takes an extra special skill to write a book that crosses the timeline of another book.
Loved getting the other POVs of what was transpiring during Rooks book. I enjoyed watching Asahte and Bishop falling in love from their POVs because we only got Rook's during his book.
Think this was my favorite of the whole series so far.

This was repetitive.. I picked up this series as I wanted to read this book but figured I'd do the first 2 as well. Wish I'd just read this because I ended up skimming a lot as it was basically Rook told in a different POV

I’m soooooo happy that Bishop found his partner in Asante!!! To think that he was going to give it all up! That proposal was what we all needed. If you don’t like MM then move around cause these scenes are 🌶️ 🥵 Overall I loved it here!!!
