He has denied desire for centuries. She may be the one temptation he cannot resist.
London, 1804. Dimitri, Earl of Corvindale, has survived centuries in shadow—isolated, disciplined, and unyielding. Cursed as one of the Dracule, he has sacrificed all pleasure in a desperate bid to free himself from Lucifer’s chains. No wine. No women. No weakness.
Until Lady Maia Woodmore explodes into his orderly world like a spark struck to powder.
Sharp-tongued, bold, and utterly unimpressed by his brooding austerity, Maia refuses to be intimidated by the immortal earl who now controls her future. Her defiance infuriates him. Her courage intrigues him. And her beauty awakens a hunger Dimitri has spent lifetimes suppressing—a hunger as dangerous to Maia as it is to him.
But London is no longer safe. A ruthless adversary stalks the Woodmore sisters, and the Dracule’s darkest powers stir beneath the surface. Forced into uneasy proximity, Dimitri and Maia find their battles with each other quickly overshadowed by a deeper, more treacherous war.
As danger closes in, Dimitri must cling to the icy restraint that has protected his soul for centuries…or surrender to the one woman capable of shattering every barrier he has built—and every vow he has ever made.

“Immortal Saint” is book two in the Vampires of London series written by Colleen Gleason. This historical romance is an enemies to lovers story with paranormal influences. I must admit, I did like this story about Dimitri, Earl of Corvindale and Maia, his reluctant ward much better than the first book in the series, “Immortal Rogue” because these two main characters spent so much time together. Their banter was witty and curt, give and take, neither wanting to loose the verbal battle. I liked that Maia and Dimitri were both extremely intelligent and that they were equals in that arena. Throughout the first book in the series and this one, Dimitri was looking for a way to cut ties with Lucifer and get rid of Lucifer’s painful mark. He was more hopeful after Voss’s success. However, Dimitri pulled his brick wall around tighter and reinforced, determined his life of abstinence and denial would lead to success. Maia was always in his way. I liked the premise and the characters but the flow of the story was off, it lagged in places and was a little bumpy. There was lots of evident chemistry between Dimitri and Maia. The passion and steam between Dimitri and Maia was appropriate for the characters. Definitely an interesting interpretation of the many vampire legends. Fans of paranormal historical romance will definite enjoy this story of a vampire who opens himself to true love and then sees what true love can accomplish.

This vampire story has something in common with Twilight. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big Twilight fan. That series has a book that completely retells the original story from the perspective of a different character. I must have felt cheated because years later, that's one of the few things I remember! This book about the vampire Dimitri partially follows the story of the vampire Voss. It then redeems itself once the original material begins. Dimitri and Maia absolutely hated each other. Their constant fighting became comical at times. Their enemies to lovers relationship was quite entertaining and if you don't mind the repeat at the beginning, you'll probably enjoy this steamy romance.

If you live enemies to lovers and vampire romances then you’ll enjoy this book. Add in a touch of Regency glitz, glamour and intrigue and you’ll just have more to enjoy and entertain you. There was a bit of a recap at the beginning so if you’ve started with this book you’ll be on good footing with the characters from book one. I enjoyed the mix of vampire and regency romance. I very much liked the characters. The book is a bit long for my general reading preferences but that’s just me. Definitely an engaging and entrancing story.

Sainthood is not everything Maia Woodmore can’t wait to marry to escape her guardian and, to be honest, the attraction between them. She will forget him, won’t she? Dimitri, Earl of Corvindale, has been living an ascetic and orderly life, denying himself human blood for decades, and yet he can’t seem to escape his vampiric condition while the viscount Dewhurst managed it in spite of a life of dissipation. What is different? Doesn’t virtue count for anything? It will take an act of unbelievable courage and sacrifice to make him understand. Quite a lot is another version of happenings in the first book. Maia gets her vampire, turned mortal again, after Lerina converts Maia's fiance and uses him to try to kill Maia and the Earl.
