Overclocked: Welcome to the Noise

Rate this book
What happens when a neurodivergent brain finally gets the microphone?

Welcome to the Noise is a raw, chaotic, painfully honest dive inside one ADHD-autistic mind that is told in real time, with real emotions, real humor, and zero masking.

This isn’t a clinical guide. It’s a lived one.

A breakdown of every shutdown, meltdown, freeze-state, hyperfixation, trauma pattern, sensory overload, perfection spiral, and internal monologue that the world never sees but loves to judge.

Written in the Notes app while in parked cars, grocery store lines, and midnight spirals, Overclocked captures the noise exactly as it fast, loud, funny, heartbreaking, and profoundly human. Whether you’re neurodivergent and need to feel seen, or neurotypical and finally want to understand the people you love, this book hands you the user manual to one overclocked brain, missing screws included.

Ashley Hayes is an adventurer, with a love for anything magical, mysterious, or exciting. While she would have loved to have wings, super super speed, or the ability to shape- shift, she has no significant super powers (yet). Even more unfortunately, she never received her Hogwarts acceptance letter, and she still hasn’t found a way into Narnia. She was quickly running out of books to read so, left with no other choice, she decided to create her own adventures.

Ashley published her first book, Magic Made, in 2019, and her second book, Magic Taken, will be released summer of 2020. Now, she also wants to share what she has learned with any other writers who are hoping to publish their stories.
