Griffin Colson, a bounty hunter with a contract for the man responsible, takes one look at her and decides she’s his to protect. But Seriph doesn’t trust easily and Griffin’s no exception. She’s sworn off men after cheating fiances and abusive exes left her believing she is better off without them. Before i can give you my review- WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK WAS THAT ENDING!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, good book, very fast paced. I loved griffin and our thick/curvy FMC? Hell yeah. I’m still reeling terribly over the ending and hoping i get some sort of comfort ASAP before i flip my lid

From the moment I dove into Tattered Wings, I knew I was in for a wild ride. The main characters are like the perfect cup of coffee: rich, complex, and shockingly addictive! Each one is uniquely crafted, pulling you into their world and keeping you glued to the page. Just when you think you’ve figured them out, the plot throws a curveball, and you find yourself gasping at a twist that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Seriously, my heart was racing—who needs a rollercoaster when you have this book?

Then we have the side characters, who are equally enchanting and had me practically begging for their backstories. They add depth and flavor to the narrative, making me look forward to the sequel with a slightly embarrassing level of enthusiasm. I’m pretty sure I accidentally skipped a few meals just to keep reading!

Tattered Wings weaves serious moments with laugh-out-loud humor so seamlessly that you'll find yourself laughing one moment and wiping away tears the next. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions that had me feeling everything from joy to heartache in the span of a few pages—the mark of a truly brilliant author.

I can’t emphasize enough how much this book resonated with me. It’s an emotional punch that you never saw coming, with the kind of moments that hit you right in the feels. And yet, just when you need a breather, there’s a perfect dose of humor to lighten the mood.

As for Griffin? Well, I’m ready to fight anyone who dares to say he’s not the best. He’s officially mine, and I’ll rally the troops to defend that claim!

In summary, if you're looking for a book that has it all—intriguing characters, plot twists that will make you gasp, and moments that will have you laughing and crying—Tattered Wings is the one for you. This author has proven to be a master of emotion, and I have my one-click finger ready for the next installment. I can’t wait to see what’s in store, so hurry up and give me book two! Trust me, after reading this, you’ll feel the same way!

Tattered Wings is the perfect slow burn. Seraphina’s heart has been through it, so she keeps men at arm’s length, focusing instead on surviving day to day while running her small tea shop. When she crosses paths with some unsavory men, everything changes.

Griffin is a bounty hunter who hunts the worst of the worst. His dangerous line of work leaves no room for relationships—anyone close to him can be used against him. But a chance encounter with Seraphina makes him start to question everything he’s built his life around.

This book delivers everything: banter, romance, and a gripping plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Definitely check the trigger warnings before diving in!

Honest review from an ARC reader:

I almost always check the reviews on books before I consider getting them, so going in blind made me a little nervous. I cannot tell you the last time I actually sat down and read a whole book in one sitting. I'm the kind of person who can't just sit and always switches to an audio so I can do something. I DEVOURED this book! I would classify this book as action/thriller romance, the MMC as morally grey and the FMC as strong, fiery, and stubborn. While there are no claims of BDSM dynamics, they strongly resemble a soft Dom/brat dynamic - genuine and not some attempt of portrayal by someone who knows nothing about the lifestyle, like too many others. If you know anything about that dynamic, you'll have an idea of how those "scenes" can go... Even with all the dark aspects in the book, and the creative ways he handled the ones who hurt her... it was still a feel good read for me. The supporting characters added to the depth of the main characters. The banter and retorts had me cackling.

I do NOT appreciate the cliffhanger it ended on, though.

One of my favorite quotes:
"Not askin' for trust yet, but just tell me where to stand so I can watch your back while you remember how to breathe."

I Alpha read this book in 2025 and reread it again in January before release and let me tell you, you are in for a ride. It’s a slow burn, with darker themes and aspects of action that captivate you and pull you in like a fishing lure. You’re helpless but to get dragged wherever L.F. Moon takes you as Seriph and Griffin go through this adventure together, leaving him to fall first for our curvy FMC, so determined to take on the world all by herself. Griffin is so protective and stoic, truly complimenting each other as “opposites attract”. They’re both headstrong in their own way. She’s full of vibrant sunshine and there are parts in this book that make you kick your feet in glee and gasp in shock, laughing with evil intent when the baddies get their dues, but let me tell you, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!! I only knocked off a star because some of the writing didn’t fit my personal style, and I felt could have been worded differently, as well as some parts moved too fast while others were a bit too slow. But as her first book, I thought the author did an amazing job, and I am eagerly anticipating the next installment!

This was an interesting read for sure. It’s well written and had a good storyline and plot and great spice. I won’t say I didn’t like it because I did but it was hard to keep focused and actually finish it. I felt like everything happened within the first 30% and then it’s a whole lot of spice and filler of randomness for a while and you lose sight of the actual plot and where the story was going. There was a moment where it seemed like the story was going to go off on a whole new plot venture with an ex of the FMC but then it also just got forgotten. And then the last 5% it was right back to the main plot and then ending on yet another cliffhanger for the plot like the bad guy repeatedly getting away and then that’s it. This book was a whole lot of unfinished business and it took me a month to actually read. If you don’t pay much attention to the plot and you like a spicy dark romance with the Russian mob and hired hitmen then yeah it’s a great book. But personally it felt like it was all over the place. Not the worst but also not the best.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I Alpha read and it’s such a good read. I highly recommend it!! The characters are fantastic, side characters are just as great and go great with the storyline. I have died laughing out loud to the point of tears in some parts of the book. There is triggering parts but I read really dark stuff and honestly don’t even look at trigger warnings at this point. Back to the book, it is so well written. The main characters are cute together but not overly cutesy. There are traumatic scenes that do happen, but that makes the story. It’s got action, cutesy parts, funny as hell parts(when you get to these parts I promise you will be laughing out loud), trauma and great energy between every character. I absolutely CAN NOT wait to get a physical copy of this book and reread it!

Tattered Wings is a gritty, emotional small-town dark romance that doesn’t pull its punches. From the moment Seriphina stands up to the Russian mafia, the story dives headfirst into danger, trauma, and survival. Watching her go from broken and bleeding to determined and defiant made her an easy FMC to root for.

Griffin Colson is the definition of a morally gray protector. A dangerous bounty hunter with his own mission, he becomes Seriph’s shadow. His “touch her and die” energy is strong, but what really stands out is how his obsession slowly turns into something deeper as he learns her boundaries and her scars.

If you love:
• 🖤 Dark romance with danger
• 🔥 Protective, obsessed MMCs
• 💔 Healing after abuse
• ⚔️ Mafia threats & high stakes

I really enjoyed this book! There was a really good story flow, in my opinion. I didn’t find anything about it dull. The main characters were easy to love and had solid communication, which I appreciated immensely. Something that drives me crazy is plot points being easily resolved if people would just TALK to one another. That didn’t happen here. I felt like each “side” character introduced had a reason and they were also a delight to watch interact with our main characters. Overall, easy read, full of delight, definitely had moments that truly made me laugh out loud! The serious parts were great and added much needed dimension to the plot and the cute bits were the sparkling shimmer on top. Well rounded delight!

I absolutely adored this book! Griffon Colson and Seraphina Joseph are where its at. She owns a bookstore that is her whole life savings and he is a bounty hunter. He whitnesses her getting hurt by the Russian Mafia and says eh..no..thats mine and you do not touch. Touch her and ☠️ vibes! The way LF describes senses, emotions, any description at all just pulls you in and I loved how well she described things to set the picture. This is book 1 and ends slightly on cliffhanger and I cant wait for book two. Releases soon! Dont miss out!

This storyline is a lot of fun and was a pretty easy read. Things seemed to happen a bit fast in my opinion between the mmc and the fmc but they make a cute pair. Their friends really add a nice touch to the duo and their banter is enjoyable.
Surprisingly even with some heavy trigger warnings this seemed more of a heart warming small town romance which was pretty refreshing. All in all, it was worth my time and will explore other works by this author.

Tattered Wings follows Seriphina, a shop owner who gets into trouble with the wrong men, and Griffin, a bounty hunter tracking one of them. Though they meet only briefly at first, their connection feels like love at first sight. The banter between them is fun and engaging, and watching their relationship slowly blossom is incredibly sweet. With a mix of danger, humor, and romance, this story is a quick, charming read.
