Rate this book
When Skylar is tricked into making an online dating profile, she rebels by summoning a boyfriend for the night instead.

What comes out of her magic circle is not what she expected. He doesn’t even have a body! He’s just a mass of glowing blue tentacles. Yet he gives her the hottest—and strangest—ride of her life until the sun rises.

She knows she can’t rely on an amorphous tentacle creature for love, but can she bear to close the one-way door that is the magic circle? Even when that wretched online dating profile helps her find the perfect man, will she be able to resist if the naughty, shape-shifting monster starts knocking?

**Witches Love Monsters features short, fun romps from some of your favorite Regine Abel, Opal Reyne, Naomi Lucas, and Tiffany Roberts. Each book reads as a standalone.

It physically pains me to give this 2 stars because Opal’s Duskwalker Bride seires has my whole heart but I did not enjoy this as much as I hoped 😭 the plot had promise but the writing style just wasn’t for me, the word ‘naughty’ was used SO many times and every time I had a visceral reaction to it (me problem most likely). I did like our MMC and the spice was wonderfully unhinged but yeah I just didn’t care much for this 😭❤️‍🩹

This book was mostly smut with little plot and I was here for it. Skylar was living the dream as a coffee shop/library owner with a couple close friends. She was bold and a bit impulsive, which led her to attempt summoning an incubus, summoning a tentacle monster instead. Which, lucky her, because he was sweet and all about consent and extracting every iota of pleasure from her. I loved his heart tentacle thing and his whole vibe. It was a precious story.

Spice: 5/5

Triggers: stalking, parent death (past), speciesism (off page), mention of SAs of vague side characters

“Why haven’t I had this idea before?! She’d read so many romance novels on aliens, monsters, and everything that went bump in the night that this was totally right up there with her kinks!”

Final Review:
Oops! I Summoned a Metamorphic Monster by Opal Reyne is exactly what you paid for (or in my case subscribed to KU for 😂) after reading the blurb. This is a erotica story with ALOT tentacles. 🐙🐙

The FMC, Skylar an overworked, tired and sexless barista “somewhat” accidentally summons a tentacle monster. In truth, she was trying to summon a demon… specifically, an incubus to spice up her lack luster sex life. Vorg is all to happy to oblige her plans for hot demon sex. He may not be able to speak (at first), but he manages to secure enthusiastic consent from Skylar using only crude “sign-language” gestures. (Ok, it’s not so much ASL vibes as raunchy Charades).

This was fine and I ADORED his pet, but I can say wholly that I am more excited for the other installments coming out from Naomi Lucas and Tiffany Roberts. I also preferred our Liderc in Regine Abel's book, which was more my speed. My review for that one is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show....

3 stars!

Initial Thoughts: RTC to come! I am loving the series so far. But then again I adore interconnected standalone by my fave SFR or fanro authors. It’s a 3 but sooo fun 💛💙💛💙

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 4 Spice

What in the tentacles did I just read, lol.

This book is perfect for those who want a fast, fun, super spicy, weird read. One where the story is mostly centered around the spice and romance and not so much about anything else. But it is fun, quick, and really made me question what in the world I was reading.

I was definitely freaking out when things started to heat up, but it was all in good fun and there was nothing really hard to get through. It was pretty easy to read and just a lighthearted book overall.

I had no clue this was part of a series. I do know the series is called the Witches Love Monsters series. Each book is a standalone, so you can jump in anywhere, but I am guessing the best way is to start from the first book and go forward.

I have read something by the author before that I loved, which was A Soul to Keep, the first Duskwalker book, and I loved that.

I would say if you are after something with more depth and a longer, story driven plot where the story comes first and spice second, this book is totally not for you. But if you want a dirty, quick, questionable monster read with heaps of spice, this book is definitely for you.

Opal doesn't disappoint, honestly, the book has everything because it's so well written.

If you're looking for something short and steamy, with a strong FMC and characters with personality, read this🔥

This simply was not my cup of tea. I read the first chapter, then the second one and then stopped. I could not get into the story at all and here it might just be my odd mood lately, but after struggling for a bit, I decided that it would be better to move on. I have another book on my TBR by this author, so hopefully it works out better.

Hot witchy barista summons a tentacle demon while horny, and it gets attached way too quickly.. in more ways than one 😂

This is a short and sweet MF monster romance that definitely made me laugh. It has:

-insta lust
-a chaotic and possessive metamorphic monster
-a magical witch with a cool cafe
-a demon ferret that wants snacks
-dynamic monster biology that’s put to good use 👀

This was a fun and easy read! A little ridiculous, but hey, it’s a monster romance novella! I still had fun reading it. :)

How can I ever be the same again? Because why is a BLUE TENTACLE MONSTER raising my standards like this?

He forms a deep emotional bond, gives up immortality, learns your job to help run your coffee shop, and is fully committed to keeping you satisfied all night long?

Meanwhile, most men in real life can’t even text back.

Anyway.
10/10. Would summon again.

Are you into copious amounts of tentacle smut? This is the novella for you! Skylar is secretly a witch who owns a coffee and book shop. She has struggled to find a partner that she can be her full authentic self with. Dating is hard for her since her magic reacts to her emotions and she can’t risk others finding out. Skylar gets the great idea to summon a boyfriend of the night. Nothing could possibly go wrong right? Well the monster she summoned is nothing like what she imagined but so is the pleasure she is given. In fact the night is beyond amazing and she decides to summon the monster again. She soon realizes that this monster has changed and that she isn’t really wanting just an exchange. Skylar decides to try and focus on finding a human man but will she really be able to find someone who can make her feel like the tentacled monster did? I really enjoyed this quick read and the characters. Skylar was so down to earth and relatable. She was a boss lady that didn’t bow down to anyone. Being independent was great except she was so lonely. The spicy scenes were plentiful and so erotic! I ate up all the tentacle smut and was a big fan of the sweet ending. Check out this book if you enjoy tentacled monsters, body piercings, witchcraft, possessiveness, an abundance of steamy scenes, he falls first, and an adorable pet sidekick.

When Skylar gets an idea in her head, she absolutely takes it and runs with it. Just full steam ahead. No looking back. Give it her all and deal with any consequences later. Fortunately, she has pretty good instincts and when she gets these ideas, they tend to be good ones.

For example, summoning a demon to give her some good, down home lovin' for a night. Sure, sure, she expected an incubus or something vaguely humanoid when she set out to get this lovin', but she 100% didn't have (too) much of an issue with the monster that answered her summons. Added bonus: his tentacles were VERY attentive and might have ruined Skylar for any regular lovin' in the future.

As for the non-humanoid monster? Well, Vorg likes the sweet, receptive witch who accidentally summoned him. Considering the type of monster he is, getting a summons at all is rare. Getting one from an individual who REALLY likes his non-human parts? MAGNIFICENT.

A little magic, some frisky tentacles, a monster who can become exactly what his witch needs, and a witch who didn't expect to fall for her one-night summon, but she fell and fell hard. *thumbs up*

Our FMC Skylar is a witch and a boss babe running a cafe in a busy Sydney suburb. She summons an incubus for pleasure because human men are overrated. A blue tentacle monster appears and he’s flirty and forms little hearts with his tentacles 💙 Skylar agrees and takes those tentacles like a champ. Vorg well and truly claims her. Everywhere. The smut be smutting.

I was briefly disappointed when his form evolved but there were some new fun 🍆features introduced to keep the spice monstrous and filthy. There’s a cute little cozy romance between all the noodle slurping and it was such an enjoyable little spicy book.

Somehow though, I wanted more tentacles and it seemed implausible for the level of commitment made before an exchange of names 😅

“Despite some amazing hook-ups–like really, really good d!ck–she just couldn’t trust what those joy sticks were attached to.”

“Why haven’t I had this idea before?! She’d read so many romance novels on aliens, monsters, and everything that went bump in the night that this was totally right up there with her kinks!”

I was here for the fun of Monster and Opal Delivered! The writing was great and sexy! I was transported to a Coffee shop with and Witch that Summoned a Monster for a good time! I love the FMC and how Opal created a new Monster with Tentacles. There was a moment between them that I appreciated for how really really well written it was. It was not a quick moment but showed how much love there was and motion there was in description. Love the Novella and wished it was longer! It was that good to me. This really cemented how much Opal has become an Instant Author for me! Highly recommend for my Monster or Romance Lovers!

Novella, Monster romance, mostro metamorfico (metamorfura) con tentacoli x strega goth, insta lust, he falls first, lui ossessionato e possessivo, autoconclusivo.

Blue Lovin!

I loved this so much! I have always had a thing for tentacles and reading about an actual sentient tentacle monster is amazing! I absolutely loved the MMC in this! And I loved seeing Opal write a more modern setting! Doesn't hurt that Skyler is a bada$$! Absolutely love her style and personality! And she runs a cute coffee shop with BOOKS! Absolutely love this!

It was actually really fun reading about the MCs evolving relationship, from OOPS! To forever 💙

Also, one of the best parts? MMC is blue! I love blue!! 💙

Skylar handling that rude af customer was so satisfying 🙂‍↕️

Opal gives us “horny tentacle hentai meets cute goth witch” and that perfectly describes what you’re getting into 😂

This was an easy read, flowed well and I kept wanting to turn the page. On the other hand, Vorg pissed me off and his pet too. Usually I’d find a protective and jealous mmc great - they’re my favourite type to read. However we barely knew anything about Vorg and he was not even able to talk to Skylar, so he came across as a huge red flag. I wasn’t convinced that they could even be together as a couple when it was purely sex between them. He has zero right to terrorise her and I hate that she gave in to him.

If you’re looking for something short and smutty, I’d give this a go!

Witchy monster romance with tentacles and some adorable little bat-ferret sidekick/cat-treat-eating menace.

I had some trouble getting into this one, but after the first quarter I really started liking the characters. Especially the little bat-ferret pet. This book is my favourite of the series so far.
Happy, Skylar and Vorg got their happy ending. 😊

Smutty monster romance novella series by basically the queens of monster romance books 😊.

Monster romance HEA ✅
Strong independent FMC (who is also a witch 🥵) ✅
Adorable otherworld *ferret* with bat wings 🐾🦇✅
Tentacles… 👀🐙✅

This was such a spicy. short, & fun read! 🔥❤️‍🔥
Idk about everyone else but I kinda get bored when the entire book is just filled with smutty content and ZERO plot so I am beyond glad this book had some plot going on and some bouncing back & forth between Skylar and Vorg. 🖤

I also loooove how funny Skylar is! I laughed several times throughout the book because of how relatable she is with her thoughts/comments. You know the book is going to be good when it starts by the FMC calling a snobby customer a little man-bitch to their face. 😭💀

Cute smutty tentacle fun. I liked it. The book is more smut than story heavy, but not so much that the story feels like an afterthought. I liked it. It’s few things I wish she would have expanded on. However it wasn’t enough to keep me from enjoying the book. I’ll definitely be back for more installments from her in this series.
