All the Memories We Never Had
They had one day together.
Liu met Finn during a family trip—one crazy afternoon that felt like the beginning of something.
When she flies back months later, ready to see where that something might go, Finn is already gone.
What he left a vintage tape recorder and his voice, walking her through all the places they would have gone together. The cafés. The hiking trails. The inside jokes they'll never share.
He mapped out a relationship in audio form, knowing he'd never be there to live it.
Liu could go home. She probably should.
Instead, she follows the tapes.
What starts as a peculiar memorial becomes something else entirely—a connection that exists in words and pauses, in the gap between what was planned and what can never be. Liu finds herself falling for someone she barely knew, guided by a voice that somehow knows her better than it should.
Some love stories don't get their ending. This one never even got its beginning.
A bittersweet exploration of grief, connection, and the relationships we carry with us long after they're gone.

This is self published so I’m going to ignore the editing niggles and rate purely on story and vibes.
It’s sad, sweet, kind of heartwarming in a sad but hopeful way and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would when I started it…the end left me wanting more but not in a cliffhanger way, even if it had just made me cry in Starbucks!
