So we’ve got a stalker and an “that’s my fucking wife” MMC??? Yeah. We are being absolutely spoiled with this one.
But this woman doesn’t have one stalker, she has two👀.
One of them is her future husband. The other one murdered her mother and is now coming for her.
And yes, there IS such a thing as a good stalker and a bad stalker. One follows you to make sure you’re safe, memorizes everything you love, and never lets you out of his sight. The other one wants to destroy your life.
So Damien (the good stalker and head of the Polish mafia) comes up with a genius plan. To keep her safe, she has to marry him and move in with him. He claims it benefits both of them… but let’s be real. He’s just obsessed with her and wants her to be HIS. We love to see a man down BAD BADD😮💨🤭🙂↕️
And I’m telling you right now, if you live for a man who says “my wife” You’re going to devour this book the same way I did.
Damien might be dangerous, but he has this lighthearted, flirtatious charm that makes him impossible not to love. He’s devoted, loyal, and would do anything for Roxy. He’ll burn the world down for her and he’ll do it with a smile on his face because he’s just THAT charming. This man is the blueprint for a perfect MMC.
There are some books where you just connect with the characters on a deeper level, and this was absolutely one of those for me. Every time that little voice in Roxanne’s head spoke up, it felt painfully relatable. She struggles with serious insecurities, never feeling good enough, never feeling like the first choice and Damien does everything in his power to reassure her and make her feel secure in their relationship. It genuinely melted my heart.
As a couple these two ride hard for each other. You get a possessive MMC and an FMC who may or may not stab a man in the 🍆 for daring to hurt her husband. We absolutely love to see it.👏🏻
And beyond the couple, the story itself will have you hooked. I read 90% of this book in one sitting I literally could not stop. Between the mafia plotline, the twists and turns, and the underlying mystery, the writing completely pulls you in. There’s such a thick layer of emotion throughout, and I really appreciate how perfectly everything is balanced. You get a gripping plot, characters you’ll invest in, relationships you’ll root for, and incredible spice to top it all off.
So if tropes like:
– he’s in the mafia
– he heals her inner child by loving her unconditionally
– marriage of convenience turned full-on MY WIFE
– “it’s always been you”
– a touch of murder mystery
– and a man who hands her a credit card and casually says the limit is $100,000 a day
are calling your name… yeah. This book is for you.

Such an underrated mafia book! Damien Kaminski has me feral & Roxanne is such a BADDIE.
The way this man is a golden retriever stalking her whilst being the head of the Polish mafia was EVERYTHING.
Their chemistry was the best, the plot was SO ENGAGING! The writing is amazing & the way she intertwined the characters from the previous books was great.
Roxy being equally as possessive & protective as Damien was EVERYTHING

I’m just going to say it upfront, if a morally gray man confidently calling her “my wife” is your weakness, this book will absolutely have you in a chokehold.
This book was intense, addictive, and far more unhinged (in the best way) than I expected.
Damien is lethal, ruthless, and a walking red flag to everyone except the woman he loves. But somehow, wrapped around all that danger is this playful, charming energy that makes him impossible to resist. He’s unwaveringly loyal, deeply devoted, and fully prepared to destroy anyone who dares looking at Roxy. Burning the world down for her isn’t a threat, it’s a promise. And honestly? He’s top-tier MMC material.
Roxy was just as compelling. She’s sharp-tongued, bold, and unapologetically strong, but there’s a lot more going on beneath the surface. Her past casts a long shadow, and the emotional weight she carries adds real depth to her character. I loved watching her layers slowly reveal themselves.
Together, Damien and Roxanne have a relationship built on tension, restraint, and the kind of trust that doesn’t need to be spoken aloud. It’s not gentle or comforting, it’s volatile, dangerous, and charged with everything they’re too afraid to voice. Their connection feels like it could either save them or completely ruin them, and that balance kept me hooked.
I was actively messaging the author while reading, sending theories, reactions, and wild guesses, and when the story took that turn? I was genuinely stunned. The plot escalation came out of nowhere, and I didn’t see it coming at all.

FUCKING IMPECCABLE 🔥🔥🔥🔥 like seriously this book was perfect from beginning to end . After the masterpiece of shadows of past (the second book in this series) I already knew I was going to give this book five stars like just from the snippets of Damien and Roxy from the second book I just KNEW their book was going to eat ‼️‼️ . The plot , the romance , and the characters was perfectttt😩😩😩 I loved everything like the way Damien talked about Roxy , treated her , and loved her was the most ROMANTIC thing everrr❤️❤️❤️. He loved her so so sooo fucking much like his love for Roxy made it so easy to fall in love with him plus he was funny but his backstory and everything his bitch of a mother put him through just made me love him more ☺️☺️. Then my girlll Roxy I love herrrr like she is such a bad bitchhh but her backstory also broke my heart I really hated how she always felt like a burden and bothered but I’m glad she got that love and support now🥰. The romance between Roxy and Damien was just sooo fucking good they BOTH didn’t play about each other and loved each other so damn fiercely it made my heart ache . Then lastly the plot the mafia and suspense storylines mixed together was soo good and interesting to follow and that plot twist towards the end I was NOT expecting that but like seriously this book was fucking amazing I plan to follow this author and read everything she writes in the future she is too talented ‼️‼️.

Un roman complex, care te trece print toate starile posibile, simt o scriere diferită, complexă, studiata si conturată cu minuțiozitate. Lady R. Nimes din suflet te felicit! Personaje bine creionate, actiune si suspans...scene 🔥🔥🔥... O iubeam pe Roxy inca din primul volum, o ador dupa volumul dedicat ei. Cumva Roman o sa ramana prima mea iubire, dar Damien se apropie destul de mult in clasament. Tipul dragut, periculos, simpatic și șarmant cu doza de nebunie specifică- pașește în lumina reflectoarelor Damien🔥❤️. Un roman complex in care intriga,actiunea, sentimentele, traumele,imperfectiunea si iubirea se impletesc perfect. Rezultatul este grandios un cuplu care se regaseste si care isi alina "demonii trecutului" regasind dragostea promisa înca din copilarie...un asasin la care nu te astepti și care iti provoaca imaginația... încheierea potrivita pentru ce o sa urmeze. I loved this book so much!
Damien Kaminski is my new fave MMC. He was obsessed, possessive and yet so attentive and caring towards Roxanne, AGHHH he was EVERYTHING!!! Roxanne’s story was so moving, she deserved so much more and in the end she got it…I loved her, I really felt for her too🥹
The story was well written, the added suspense and mystery had me at the edge of my seat. Overall a mafia romance that’s a fun, spicy time, engaging and yet so emotional at the same time. These are the vibes I’m expecting from now on from my mafia romances. 10/10 would recommend.

WOW OMG this book was everything and more. The way I was falling for Damien the second he appeared 😩I love a man who’s been obsessed for YEARS. Even better, one that is so concerned about her safety, he stalks her. It’s called caring 💅& don’t even get me started on that PET NAME!!!! & the amount of times he called her “baby” I AM WEAK.
And Roxy, one of my new favourite FMC’s, I genuinely connected to her character so quickly. Her fear about letting her walls down and having her heart broken and the way she shied away from showing she cared to protect herself 😭. I also LOVED the way she defended him to others even before she was openly showing him affection. I love an FMC who stands up for the MMC.

Roxy and Damien are a chaotic but lovely couple with great chemistry and an emotional love story. Damien was one of my fav characters since the first book and I wasn‘t let down by his own book. I‘m a sucker for overly possessive and stalker male characters. Roxy is his perfect fit because she‘s kinda unhinged too which I adored. Together they‘re quit the power couple.
Overall this was a great dark mafia romance book!

I think I’ve found my favourite couple of the series😭 I have been itching to have Damien and Roxy’s book in my hand from the crumbs we’ve gotten of these two over the series and their story certainly didn’t disappoint.
First and foremost I absolutely adore Roxy - she’s as feisty as they come and this is definitely an aspect that Damien is intrigued by. While she may have a hard exterior there is some troubles that lie beneath her surface which stem a lot from her youth and childhood. Roxy lost her mother at a young age and this put a strain on her and her fathers relationship- she constantly sought his approval but he basically decided his new family was worth more of his time and my heart absolutely broke for her. While she may deny it all Roxy wants is someone to show up for her and love her and Damien is the man that will give her that.
From the moment Damien collided with Roxy that was it for him, he would have no other woman than her. When something from Roxy’s past comes out from the woodwork Damien doesn’t hesitate to step in and protect Roxy, and he does this by giving her his name. It is certainly no hardship on his part as her becoming his wife was always something he saw coming to pass.
It is not only Roxy’s past that surfaces oh no Damien’s past also decides to come back in the form of his mother who is looking to take his position at the table. The one thing I would say about this couple they are more intwined that I thought before I started this book🤭

Damien and Roxanne I loved them from start to finish. This would have to be my favorite out of the series. They are just perfect for each other. It was the plot twist at the end I never expected. I loved how all the characters from the last two books came into the third book.

Wat een stront boek! Ja sorry wat heb ik gelezen. Ik dacht echt dat het leuk zou worden, totdat die stalker van haar (Damien) gewoon haar nummer had. En ze vroeg hem om naar haar huis te komen, want ze was bang voor haar andere stalker. En ook zo slecht geschreven de romantiek, het enige wat mij nog liet verder lezen was de mysterie van die stalker. Echt jammer dit...

● Mi-a plăcut enorm combinația de Dark Romance cu mister și thriller. E fix echilibrul care face povestea intensă, tensionată, dar fără să simți că se duce prea departe, genul de carte care te prinde de la primul avertisment și nu-ți mai dă drumul. Dovadă că am stat până la 2 noapte să o termin 🤭👀
● Personajele sunt atât de bine conturate. Atât de diferite și totuși făcute să se atragă ca un magnet, fiecare cu demonii lui. El? A fost pe sufletul meu, psihopatul perfect, imperfect, dar atât de real încât îl simți respirând lângă tine 👀.
● Damien și Roxy au fost perfecți împreună, fără dramă inutilă, fără certuri trase de păr. Au avut momente care m-au pus la un pas de lacrimi, am empatizat cu tot ce au trăit și mi-a fost sincer milă de cât au avut de dus în spate. Am simțit tot, și asta mi se pare una dintre cele mai mari calități ale poveștii.
● Mi-a plăcut mult partea de thriller și mister, chiar a adus un plus de tensiune și a ținut povestea vie. Totuși, mi-aș fi dorit să primesc ceva mai multe detalii ca să înțeleg mai bine de ce acel personaj a ajuns să facă acel gest la final. Știu că sigur o să-l mai întâlnim în volumele următoare și poate o să primesc răspunsurile acolo, dar parcă a lipsit un mic ceva pe partea asta. Oricum, m-a luat prin surprindere cine s-a dovedit vinovat și mi-a plăcut că nu am bănuit deloc, deși cred că ar fi fost interesant să existe câteva indicii presărate pe parcurs.
● Când am terminat cartea, aveam atât de multe de spus și încă regret că nu am scris recenzia atunci, la cald, pentru că acum, când încerc să pun totul în cuvinte, am o ceață totală în minte. Dar un lucru e sigur: mi-a plăcut enorm. Îmi plac la nebunie cărțile Ramonei și ador cât suflet pune în fiecare poveste. De fiecare dată personajele ei poartă traume adânci, sunt construite atât de bine încât pur și simplu nu ai cum să nu le iubești și să nu suferi alături de ele. Iar la final, când închizi cartea, rămâi cu o stare de liniște și bucurie în suflet, ca și cum fericirea lor devine și a ta, măcar pentru puțin timp.

Cartea asta a fost tot ce mi-am dorit pentru povestea lui Damien si Roxy. Doamne, am adorat totul ❤️
De la usurinta banter-urlui dintre cele 2 personaje ce m-a făcut sa zambesc cu cartea in mana si pana la lacrimile si suferinta celor 2 personaje ce am simtit-o pana în maduva oaselor. Iar in final, sufletul meu zambeste pentru Damien si Roxy. ♦️
Ramona, mi se pare genial cum ai construit povestea. In umbra furiei nu e doar un mafia romance, e thriller, e drama, e un mix de genuri așezate genial si cu multa sensibilitate de tine în cele aproape 450 de pagini.
Așadar, eu recomand din suflet cartea asta și întreaga serie pentru unicitatea personajelor, pentru intriga fresh, pentru potențialul imens, pentru spice-ul cu bun gust și pentru acest univers fictiv care devine tot mai mare și tot mai interesant.
PS: abia astept povestea lui Cas + Vi 💚
