Just when Martin thinks his life will never go anywhere remotely interesting, he meets an eccentric quantum physicist who gives him the ability to travel to his parallel lives where, in one of them, he runs a successful bed and breakfast with his beautiful wife in Italy. Problem is, he has no control over any of it.
Annie was born in Hollywood, raised in the valley. She avoided the valley girl accent by speaking backwards for the first 15 years of her life. As an actress you may remember her in her recurring role on BECKER with Ted Danson, Lara in GOOD LUCK CHUCK and as the host of her own national dating show, BZZZ! which she also co-produced. As a new WGA writer, she recently had a comedic scene in the NBC/UNIVERSAL showcase and her web-series, Karma’s a B*tch http://www.youtube.com/user/karmathes... was chosen by Virgin America as BEST OF THE WEB. Her book of comedic scenes, Snapshots! has been performed Hollywood stages and is available on amazon. Currently writing a YA novel. She lives in Los Angeles with her charming, Italian husband and her equally charming, Jewish/Buddhist/Italian dog, Shanti. & she tweets! twitter.com/anniewood
Martin thinks his life is never going to go anywhere. Just when he begins to think that, he meets an eccentric quantum physicist. This professor gives him the ability to travel inbetween his parallel lives. In one of them, he runs a successful Bed and Breakfast in Italy with his beautiful wife, Abby.
In another, he's married to the girl he dated in High School.
Only problem with this. He can't control any of this. can't control when or where he goes. The only thing he does know, is he wants to be in Italy. Where he feels happy, and wanted. Can Martin find Abby and begin this other life? Or will he be stuck in this life always?
I loved this book. I think I read it in just a few hours. It was a great story. Quantum Physics has always amazed and intrigued me. I always wondered if we do have parallel lives. I liked the character of the professor. Quirky characters are always great in stories. I beleive Annie did an amazing job at thsi story and I hope to read more like this. I will definately recommend this book to all my friends!

n "Just a Theory: a quantum adventure," Annie Wood has managed to create a brand new genre-bending genre: the sci-fi/rom-com/adventure/travelogue, and quite a ride it is. After a brief description of quantum mechanics (questionable), she takes our protagonist, Martin Stazinski, on a highly entertaining universe-hopping journey to the many parallel universes that exist side to side, or front to back, or all at once (take your pick), giving him (and us) the the ride of his life. Martin jumps from one (possible) life after another, from an idyllic Italian country house to a car ride with a shrewish wife and three squalling children, in order to find the one universe that fulfills his every dream. Which one will he end up in? Buy the book and see for yourself. Funny, heartfelt, cleverly conceptualized, "Just a Theory" is the perfect book for lolling on the beach on a fine summer day, cuddled up by a cozy fire in the middle of winter, sitting in the doctor's waiting room or whatever parallel universe you happen to choose. Bravo Ms. Wood! Keep 'em comin.'
Yes, it's a love story that takes place in his dreams or in what he thinks of as his parallel life. Martin is a likeable character, who is "travels" from Italy to Los Angeles, visiting his parallel lives, and each time, taking a piece of memory with his other life. It's a great love story, that's very engaging, in hopes that maybe both lives will encompass each other. I read this story from beginning to end. Recommended for those who like a different kind of romance. Sometimes love knows no bounds, and can be truly timeless.
