Pucking Petty: A Hockey-Romance Christmas Novella: Hockey Star X His Pettiest Ex

Rate this book
When NHL golden boy Landon "Icebreaker" Hale gets benched for a very viral bar fight, he's ordered home to his tiny Vermont town for a "reputation rehab." Unfortunately, the only available rental for the holidays belongs to the one person he swore he’d never see again.

His ex-girlfriend, Noelle Hart, the woman who dumped him with the words, "You care more about your stick than your heart."

Both are still hurt. Both are still furious.
Both are about to be snowed in.

Petty revenge starts small- thermostat wars, passive-aggressive notes, and stealing each other’s Christmas cookies. Until, the tension explodes into one very not-petty kiss under the mistletoe.

But when a tabloid shows up claiming they’re reunited for the holidays, Landon has to choose between protecting his career...or choosing the woman he's never fully gotten over.

ARC Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Short and so sweet, who wouldn’t want to read this? Hockey and romance, sign me up! I enjoyed this book very much. The characters were absolutely fascinating, I loved the interactions of the petty feud between Noelle and Landon. It honestly brought some humor into the book which I loved! Landon definitely gave off the cocky bad boy type, whose temper got the better of him in the rink. Noelle a sweet yet petty girl, I see myself in her with the attitude she has! Both hate each other in the beginning but as the story progresses the romance builds! Spice was subtle but the delicate description of any heated scene balanced well with the hallmark essence that I felt this book was trying to achieve. If you need something light, romantic but also crave a man who would lose his shit over you, then Pucking Petty should definitely be your next read!

Such a cute story with a ton of banter and the emotional ride was intense for such a short story. I wasn't a huge fan of the MMC. He was still a little wishy washy. But overall I did enjoy his story. I especially loved the FMC and the story itself had some cute twists. It was a good little rush with some spice and romance. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quick romance with some heated banter.

Plus I loved all the jealous possessiveness of the MMC. It had some laugh out loud moments because he was a little unhinged and a man who fell hard. The scenes throughout were really fun. Great little hockey romance.

ARC Review – Pucking Petty 🏒
Written by Juniper Blaire

If you love holiday chaos, petty exes, and forced proximity done right—this one’s for you.

When NHL bad boy Landon Hale gets benched for fighting (on and off the ice), he’s sent home to cool off. Enter: a cozy cabin rental owned by his ex-girlfriend, Noelle Hart. Five years apart hasn’t healed the hurt… or the anger. And instead of mature conversations? We get elite petty revenge.

We’re talking thermostat wars, modem sabotage, stolen cookies, and next-level banter that had me grinning like an idiot 😏. What starts as petty quickly turns into heated kisses and unresolved tension.

I went in expecting a fun, giggle-kick-your-feet holiday romance. What I didn’t expect? FEELS. This story sneaks up on you, tugging at your heart while still delivering humor, angst, and chemistry you can feel through the page.

I received an ARC of Pucking Petty and am leaving my honest review.

This is a quick holiday novella that manages to capture the holiday spirit. For only being 150 pages, the author does a decent job of providing the background of the relationship and rebuilding that trust between Noelle and Landon.

Noelle is a sweet, small town girl who has made a name for herself with her cabin rental. She has worked had to get over hers and Landon's failed relationship and make a successful business out of her rental. Landon is a jerk. He is a hotheaded hockey player who acts before he thinks and ends up repeatedly in trouble for those choices. He has to work to get his team and bosses to trust him again, as well as Noelle.

The back and forth tension and banter is enjoyable. It was a great short and spicy read for around the holidays.
