Amazing book bursting with interesting factoids
This is not a typical trivia book listing off dissimilar minutiae without providing additional context. David Grayson provides the interesting trivia but he elaborates the who, what, when, where, why, and how. The 5 Ws and 1 H are foundational questions words used by journalists, researchers, and other writers to collect more comprehensive information about a subject. For example, the author mentions that the human (who) stomach (where) has hydrochloric acid “strong enough to dissolve metal” (what). Then the author explains the digestive liquid functions (how), that corrosive acid kills most harmful bacteria and viruses (why) consumed with your food (when) while breaking down proteins. Each brief example contains enough detail to maintain interest without drowning the reading in extensive explanations.
This 264-page book contains over 750 interesting facts. It has 16 chapters covering various topics. Most pages have contain three facts each with a relevant image.
There is a humorous image on page 54 with a male Nursery Web Spider offering a silk-wrapped package to distract the female during mating. My favorite is chapter 5 with its history focused facts. I love history and these unique factoids peak my interest For instance, when the Byzantine Empire introduced the fork to 11th century Italy the now common tableware was considered an insult to God and effeminate. Another example is the year without a summer, when a powerful volcanic explosion in Indonesia occurred in 1815 caused global temperatures to drop and crops to fail.

Each fact has a color photo or illustration. These really help to drive home the fascinating fact. This book will hold your interest for hours at a time.
Not only will it hold your interest, but this book is great to share. It would make a great gift for elementary school-aged kids. Yet, it is a book for both young and old. It would be great for family parties.

Very interesting. Variety of facts
I picked this book up because I love learning new things. This book was very interesting! I loved the large variety of facts. There were a lot of facts I already knew, but quite a few new ones. I like that it was separated into sections so you could start with what interests you the most and skip sections that you had no interest in (although I read all of them because I want to know everything about everything). I especially enjoyed the urban legend section. Some of them may be a bit spooky for younger kids. I also enjoyed that each fact had a picture. The explanations of each fact were thorough enough to be satisfying but succinct enough to keep attention.

Fun and engaging
I found Fascinating Facts About Everything really fun and engaging. The book is very simple to read considering the amount of facts - I especially liked the coloured images for each individual fact too. I think this would appeal to lots of people as there’s so much mix of science, history and weird real world stories that make it entertaining. I remembered lots of them too.

Makes a fantastic present
I downloaded this book on my kindle, mainly to be able to tell my dad some interesting facts. ( He loves who wants to be a millionaire and all trivia) It did not disappoint! There were a few facts I already knew, but loads I didn't. A very interesting read, thank you!

Endless facts!!!
HUGE variety of facts! I was pleasantly surprised with just how many different categories of facts there were. There’s definitely enough facts for you to learn a few new ones every day, yet keep the book for a long time

Just reading the headlines of each category is interesting in and of itself. I highly recommend this to anyone and especially those just simply bored.
