Love Scarred was such a touching and emotional read. I became invested in the characters very quickly and found myself rooting for them throughout the entire story. Brooke’s journey of healing, self-discovery, and learning to trust again was beautifully written and felt genuine.
I loved that the story explored difficult emotions while still offering hope and growth. The romance was heartfelt, and the character development was one of the strongest parts of the book. The author created characters who felt flawed, relatable, and easy to care about.
Overall, this was a moving story about love, healing, and finding strength after pain. If you enjoy emotional romances with meaningful character growth, this is definitely worth reading. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily read more from this author. ❤️📚✨

Omg I loved this book! The banter between the MMC and FMC was everything. Their chemistry, the little moments, and the way they played off each other had me smiling so much.
I absolutely loved seeing how much the MMC cared about making sure he didn’t upset the FMC. Knowing what she had been through, the way he handled her with patience and care was honestly so sweet. I have so much respect for him because he didn’t just see her struggles, he made sure she felt safe and valued.
Even though this is a dark romance, it left me with that warm, fuzzy feeling at the end. The emotions, the connection, and the characters made this one that will stick with me. 💕📚

This is a story that, all too often, reflects the reality faced by far too many people, making Brooke's journey incredibly emotional and easy to connect with. I found myself resonating with her from the very beginning, and this book hit me right in the feels.
And can we take a moment to appreciate the trope I never knew I needed? Ex-boyfriend's brother! From Brooke and Myles' very first meeting, I just knew I was going to LOVE where their story was heading.
Myles was everything Brooke needed. Protective without being overbearing, patient, caring, and willing to give her the time and space she needed to heal after everything she'd been through. Watching him quietly prove, over and over again, that she deserved to be loved was genuinely heartwarming.
What I wasn't expecting was just how much Myles' own story would affect me. His journey adds another layer of emotional depth to the book, giving you a greater understanding of why he loves Brooke so fiercely and why protecting her becomes so important to him. It made his actions feel even more meaningful and showed that healing isn't just Brooke's journey—it's theirs together.
This story left me with hope. It reminded me that happiness can exist after trauma and that the right person won't ask you to forget your past—they'll help you believe in your future.
The alternating timelines blended perfectly with the dual POV, revealing both Brooke's and Myles' pasts at exactly the right moments. The balance between the two perspectives kept me emotionally invested from beginning to end, with every chapter adding another piece to their beautifully written story.
And let's not forget the chemistry! This book has just the right amount of spice—it never becomes the plot, but instead arrives at exactly the right moments, strengthening Brooke and Myles' connection and making their relationship feel even more authentic. The romance, emotion, and spice were perfectly balanced.

I received Love Scarred as an ARC.
Where do I even start? Following the journey of Brooke and her mental health was intense... So intense because I resonated with her.
There are definitely triggers and several heavy, emotional scenes. The spice level was steamy but was not the plot. The ending was harmonious. When I say I could NOT put this book down, I couldn't. I finished the book in 2 days and feel no shame for that.

You never know what someone has been through until you take the time to know them. You need to make sure that you are there for them no matter what. This book show that everyone has a past and that sometimes it is not pretty. When you take the time to love someone you love them for who they are and see the potential that they have to succeed at more than they thought they could or were worth.
This is a must read and is definitely worth reading again.
