In Arranged Addiction, Casey has been working for Declan Whelan for about 2 years. She can’t stand him. He is cold, distant, and just an all around grump. She tries to avoid him at all costs but it is hard. She is really attracted to him. Also, she is his executive assistant so she fixes his schedule. When a box with sexy items is misplaced. She searches frantically throughout the building. To her horror, it is delivered to Declan’s desk and he opens it. He asks her out to dinner which leads to a steamy night. What will happen with their work relationship?

Declan Whelan has been obsessed with Casey for a long time. He tries to keep her at arms length by being mean to her. He has actually been watching her for a really long time and taking care of her from afar. He figures if he could provide for her from a distance it would be enough. However, when that inappropriate box lands on his desk, he can no longer hold back how he feels. He is completely taken with her and wants to protect her. He promises to keep her safe as long as she does everything he says. What will happen when she find out he’s been a part of her life for longer than she thought?

BB Hamel made me feel bad for Declan. All he wants is to make his father proud. As much as he’s been obsessed with Casey, he managed to keep his distance. He struggles with his decision to hire her for work, but he knew she needed it. I felt bad for Casey because she was lied to her whole life. Their chemistry was insane. They have some really hot scenes. I love seeing all the Whelan family together. This was an emotional roller coaster. It is filled with drama, heat, action, shocking twists, and secrets. I have really enjoyed this series.

Claiming His Right to Her -
The last thing Casey expected was for her parcel filled with sexy lingerie to be accidentally opened by her boss, but what really shocked he was his reaction after discovering the parcel was hers. Declan had been trying everything possible to keep his hands off his assistant by being grumpy when she is around, but everything changed once she revealed the reason she purchased the content of the box. Casey never expected to find herself married to Declan, but she knew it was for her benefit.

Unfortunately, not long after Declan and Casey settled into their new life, she found out about a secret about an agreement between their families, that he had kept from her. Casey’s discovery led her down a rabbit hole trying to find out more about her deceased parents, which led to her finding herself in a dangerous situation. Luckily, Declan was able to rescue Casey before anything serious could happen, but the threats on her life didn’t end until she ended the life of the perpetrator.

This incredible dark and steamy romance story with a dark undertone has the perfect blend of drama, suspense, angst, spice, and sweetness. The characters were strong and the storyline was captivating and addictive making it such a great and immersive reading experience. You definitely won’t be disappointed after reading this book, so I urge you to grab a copy of this book now.

And because of this she has ordered herself a spicy care box of some lingerie and sex toys to help boost her self-esteem. However, her package was accidentally delivered to her boss's desk. And the next thing you know her pass comes crashing down and it was darker than she thought, because she's being targeted by an assassin and he told her about their arranged marriage and that she had to marry him for her safety. All that she had to do is give him everything he wants and meet his exact standards.
She was his for many many years and he's finally done watching from the shadows and is ready to claim her and wasn't about to risk her life any longer especially with an unhinged, sociopathic assassin on the loose and his only intention was to kill her. She learnt that her parents didn't really die from an accident like she was told but was murdered. But they lied to her to protect her. She was upset when she heard that they like was intertwined for all those years but after she realized that he had been protecting her all these years she was able to forgive him even though it was really heartbreaking at first. The two eventually got their HEA.

Declan was a older mafia man and from years he was looking out for Casey,who was promised to him when her parents were alive,but since her parents were gone that type of deal was invalid now. But he didn't care,she was his ,she didn't know it at the time.Casey always wondered why she didn't have any male friends or why has many resumes she sent out she never got any call backs and it took losing her only friend Natalie that she fines the answers,her parents were murdered, her friend was murdered and the phyo was after her and no one knew at the time who and why.Declan had a secert on Casey ,he cared for her from afar and it got worst when she turned eighteen, so when a certain box of sexy clothes and toys were delivered to his desk by mistake he decided to make his move.This was wicked dark but so good,someone from her past and Declan's ,but they are trying to flush him out but all the guy is doing is killing anyone that is close to her.Her aunt finally give her a clue that was left by her mother that they find out why someone is trying to kill her.This is a really good story,maybe alot of gore but it is also about a man who loves from afar and a young woman who breaks down walls around his heart!

When secrets are revealed due to her best friend’s murder Casey is forced to learn about her troubling past. Declan only makes decisions to protect Casey and his genuine care for her is something special! Declan has his own demons and taking over the family after his father’s passing has him juggling the future, past and present situations that seem to want to destroy Casey. Declan proves to his family and himself that when family sticks together they can fight any demon and keep their loved ones safe and protected! OMG!!! This book had me giggling, squealing, and absolutely giddy.

Declan's book is here! I love the Whelan brothers, they are all psycho but in the best way. This series is so much fun.

I had the best time reading this book. I was laughing so hard from the first chapter and I was hooked. Now, don't get me wrong this book still has the delicious dark mafia romance elements, the action, suspense, morally-gray hero...all so addicting, I ate it all up. The spice was as always so yummy.

I love the characters so much. BB Hamel knows how to create interesting, fun, sexy MCs and a story that is easy to read and devour.

Declan and Casey's story is full of emotional moments and so much heat. There are unanticipated twists that had me reeling. They are perfect together. Loved their story.

At the very beginning I had a hard time believing this book was actually written by BB Hamel. It felt so much much tamer than the other books I've read so far. More like a cutesy comedic office romance. But then came chapter 4 and all was good again. Just needed to say that so others can prepare.

Then I was confused again. Because this book takes place a couple years after Arranged Control, the last Whelan book. It took a minute to realize that. An indication or a heads up would've been nice. So if you read this, now you know.

But let's talk about the important stuff...

Declan. Oh ho ho Declan. The controlling strait laced, gorgeous Boss Bast**d.

Boss, lover, husband, stalker?

He's all of those and so much more. Which makes him a perfect fit for his counterpart Casey.

Both of them definitely jumped into the top ranks of my all time favorite BB Hamel couples ranking. He's obsessed with her and she doesn't take his attitude lying down.

Another great read and a must for dark romance lovers.

Maybe the thing you least wanted was the thing you needed the most!
You can't help fall in love with Casey who feels like she needs something extra special to attract a man so when her package is delivered somewhere in her office building, she freaks. Her worst nightmare happens when her overbearing boss of 2 years opens the package in front of her and proceeds to invite her to dinner. There is a whole lot of foreshadowing in this book that tears at your heart with how Declan silently oversaw Casey's upbringing after the death of her parents and raised by her aunt. From the moment, her aunt sent a photo of Casey in college to Declan, his addiction knew no bounds and there was no man good enough for her. Yet the pressure of Declan's father passing and unknowingly revealing a piece of the puzzle to Casey shakes up their newfound marriage. Add in an assassin from her parent's past and the suspense heats up exponentially. How will it all end? You have to read to find out and don't think you're putting this book down until you turn the last page!

A beautiful love story with a grumpy boss and his personal assistant.

Oh my goodness, I loved the book. The storyline was amazing. I loved how protective almost possessive Declan was for Casey. It started as an arranged marriage when she was born between their parents. After the death of her parents, he took the obligation to the next level by financing and protecting her. His obsessive love for her grew after she became an adult. When she entered college, he ran away all the guys who tried to talk to her and she never understood why she could only get one date. Casey was a strong young woman and who gave him just what he deserved when she started working for him. She let him know that she wasn’t taking his foolishness. Even though he acted like a grumpy mean boss, she still fell for him. The story was well written and easy to follow from the beginning to the end. There wasn’t a dull moment and the story kept you reading to the end. Definitely in my book r stars and I recommend reading if you like grumpy bossy mafia bosses.

Casey Brennan felt like she was a man repellant and was desperate to make herself feel more attractive. This led her to order a special self-care box that accidentally got delivered to her boss Declan Whelan, a grumpy control freak. This mistake was the beginning of a complete life change for Casey. She soon discovered that her boss had his eye on her for a while and that he was the soon to be head of a crime family. She also discovered shocking secrets about her family. Casey developed an intense connection with Declan.

There were lots of twists in this sometimes-scary story. There was violence, but that was to be expected with mafia stories. There were plenty of spicy love scenes, with a little side of kink. 😊The world building was intriguing as the author tied the mafia families together. This may be an enjoyable book for those readers that enjoy steamy, dark, intense, and complicated suspense stories full of family and work drama, tension, revenge, mistrust, betrayal, and redemption.

Casey didnt think her lack of a love life could get worse, except it did when the package with her spicy self care item's got delivered to work, and to her grumpy boss of 2 yrs Declans desk. Declan had been obsessed with Casey from first sight, far longer than the 2 yrs shes worked for him, he wanted to keep his distance and protect her from afar but when he sees whats in her package, and she spills her relationship disasters he decides its time to play his hand, and orders her out on a date, but when her best friend is murdered, revelations about her late parents send her reeling, and then theres Declan, will his vow to protect her, be the one she can accept or that of the ring that was always meant to be hers. Well written engaging steamy age gap, desires, angst, secrets twists and more.

Arranged Addiction is another suspenseful story from this talented author.

Casey lives with her aunt. Her parents were killed when she was a toddler. She works for Declan and he is a grump. Casey orders a spicy package to be delivered at work but instead gets misplaced on his desk. Declan asks her out to dinner and they spend time together. She has no idea she was given to Declan by her parents before they were killed. Declan has been obsessed with her for years. He has tried to keep his distance but when danger comes after Casey's friend dies, he has to keep her protected.

I loved how Declan was obsessed with Casey. Their story was surrounded by secrets. If you love a age gap and suspenseful story this one is for you.

The next very enjoyable book of the Whelan brothers, this time it’s the eldest Declan who has been prepped his whole life to take over the clan, which looks like is coming with his fathers health in decline.
Casey is an assistant to Declan and her and her friend refer think he’s very grumpy and a bit terrifying. Casey is feeling sorry for herself as she hasn’t been very successful in her love life so orders some self care items to work as her aunt has a tendency to open her post, unfortunately this ends up on Declan’s desk and he opens it much to Casey’s embarrassment. Declan takes her out to dinner which leads to a very physical encounter back at his.

The pace of this book was great from the incident with Casey’s friend to a marriage and all the while an attacker in the shadows is hunting down Casey with her life very much in danger.

A promise, an uncontrollable desire, and a vendetta all come together to complicate and endanger Casey's life. From a normal life without much complication, Casey suddenly finds herself questioning the reality of her life, yet still determined to achieve more. I was struck by Declan's attitude, how calculating and rigid he was, and how he got what he wanted. I liked that Casey was quickly learning to handle the situation she found herself in and to see and consider, from a different perspective, what Declan represented to her and others. Plenty of suspense and situations that kept me intrigued, waiting for the protagonists' reactions. Interesting twists, age gap, violence, romance, and steamy situations.

The author delivered another read that pulled me in to the love journey of Declan and Casey. A miss delivered private goody box leads to a passionate night with her grumpy boss that she never saw coming.
Declan Whelan has been obsessed with Casey for a long time and has treated her badly as a boss to keep his desires at bay. Boyo, that box opened up his possessiveness of Casey. Secrets that have been kept from Casey unravel leading to so many twists and turns. I enjoyed every minute of the ride!

I really enjoyed this book. It is very well written, with great characters in Declan and Casey, and twists and turns that I didn’t see coming.
Declan is controlled and cold, until he isn’t!
I like how Casey grows in confidence as the story progresses. This is not a simple one-dimensional story. You get history, violence, regret, loss and sustenance.
I like how it doesn’t focus on it being an age-gap romance and instead focuses on if these two people are right for each other.
This is a compelling read, which I could not put down until I had read the final page.

I'm really torn because I enjoyed both the beginning and the ending so much. The middle parts, where they face all these overwhelming issues, are quite intense, and it feels like the FMC isn't really helping much. The MMC might come off as cold and distant at first, but actually, he's quite the opposite—he's in control and knows what he's doing, since he's the big boss. Overall, I found myself liking him more than the FMC.

It all started with a spicy self care box.......or did it? Casey's package was delivered to her boss. He opened it in front of her. So embarrassing. But their story doesn't really begin there. This is a must read. So good. This is Declan's story. The oldest Whelan son and soon to be the mafia boss. I found humor. I found yummy spice. I found mystery. I found violence. I really cared for these characters. This author never disappoints. 5 stars +++.

Another great read from BB! It is fast paced with the perfect amount of action and spice.

Our story begins with Casey being, what felt like, an obligation to Declan after her parents are killed and quickly turns into an obsession after he finally pays attention to a status report about her.

I enjoyed reading about Casey learning about who her family really was and who she is and watching Declan slowly break for her was 🤌.

A Sudden Interest!!

A misdelivered box of personal items sparks a seemingly sudden response from her boss Declan. Raised by her aunt when her parents were killed in a car crash, she hasn’t had much luck in the dating department. The reader gets clues that all is not as it seems.

Imminent danger for her and an air of legitimacy for him makes a marriage a solution for both.Emotional, complicated, romantic. politics and alliances and all things make for a gritty and entertaining Mafia romance.

When Casey has a package delivered to her work, it is accidentally left on the desk of her boss. Once Declan sees what Casey has ordered, he knows he has to take the opportunity to satisfy his itch. When Casey starts to learn certain things that have been kept from her, she doesn't know what to believe anymore. This was a good read. Well written and enjoyable.

Their banter and relationship kept me glued to the pages with the emotions along with the twists and turns that the story take. It is a thrilling story that had me connecting with Declan and Casey as they charted their path. Will they finally get their chance for happiness.
