It’s been awhile🤗 For awhile now, I’ve been finding it difficult to write a review, but this particular story couldn’t let me rest till I convince you to read it.
I got to beta read Royal Scars by @qudrahadam, and trust me I got to learn so much. The questions and conversations with the author really made my love for this book increase. This is not just a book but rather a story about two individuals that found themselves against all odds. This story centers on Aisha Adams and Prince Sultan Bugaje, who by twist of fate and perhaps the help of princess Nuzha Bugaje got to know each other.
This book made me laugh and got me teary eyed, I was lost in their story that I didn’t know when it ended and I felt empty afterwards. Imagine having to live your life on a strict and rigid routine because of an incident that left you suffering from Prosopagnosia (face blindness). Waking up everyday unable to identify or recognize his family not to talk of himself. Just him and his journal, then one day…..BOOM! A young lady stumbled into your life and she’s the first person since you got diagnosed that you were able to remember not just her name but as a person.
Aisha Adams, a young lady who lost her parents at a young age, got an opportunity to become an assistant to the princess, she not only have to assist the princess but also needs to live in the palace with her. Always curious about the prince who walks and live as a robot (according to her), got the opportunity to be his primary caregiver. That moment was where everything changed for them.
I was completely stunned when I finished this book, because what in the lords name was the cliffhanger??? @qudrahadam have mercy on my inpatient soul and release the next book pleaseeee🤲😭😭 I finished this book in less than 4 hours and I couldn’t stay calm! I had to know what happens next. This book is now on my always recommend book list.
Would’ve been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the ending. But this was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Normal paced. Plot was interesting. I did not care for that ending though. But only because i prefer happy endings. It triggered my Me before you PTSD and i didn’t like that. And i guess the second book would be about “second chance” or whatever. Not so much a big fan of those but i am looking forward to it. As long as Aisha and Sultan get their happily ever after ending.
