This was a superb read. The portals story was fantastic fun.

It's great to see Beano moving with the times. It's far better now than what it used to be.

Sorry but I have really lost interest in Beano. I only read this because It was given to me as a Christmas gift. It started to go downhill from 2013 in my opinion, but has gotten worse as the years go by.
Why is Dennis no longer menacing?! Where is Walter?! (At the very back of the book that's where) Why has Beano become so unfunny, dull and boring?! Now I'll go read good old Dennis the menace annuals to make up for this.

Unfortunately spend more time making fun of kids rather than entertaining them, which I found disappointing. Very aware I’m no longer the target audience but I thought jokes that ended with a character thinking you had to plug a charger to get a book to work or not knowing what a record player was reeks of an older writer not understanding who they’re writing for.

missed some opportunities with the Time Portal bit of it. Pleased to see the Numbskulls getting a few good appearances. The old guard of Dennis, Gnasher and the Badh Street Kids are goid as usual. not a single one of the more recent inclusions like Angel Face, Rubi or Agent Dan are even hdlf way funny
