Alpha Rhys Vanderhaus is broken, reckless, and addicted. When he meets Kason Carver in a nightclub, instinct takes over, and he marks the omega as his mate. But instead of celebrating the bond, Rhys overdoses, dragging them both before the ruthless Solstice Council.
Banished to a hidden rehabilitation center in the Utah mountains, Kason and Rhys must navigate brutal rules, buried secrets, and the council’s watchful eye. When a violent attack forces Rhys to kill in Kason’s defense, their fragile future is thrown into chaos. The council demands answers. Rhys faces prison—or worse.
In a world where hybrids are hunted by a fanatical sect and loyalty can mean survival, Kason must decide if he can trust the alpha who nearly destroyed him—or risk losing the one bond neither of them can deny.
Trinity Falls launches the Shadowlands series, a dark omegaverse romance full of danger, passion, and forbidden love.
Trinity Falls was an entertaining and quick read that kept my attention, but overall it felt a bit rushed for me. The story moves very quickly into the relationship between the main characters, and I found myself wishing there had been more buildup before things escalated. Because of that fast pacing, I didn’t feel like I had enough time to really connect with the characters or understand them on a deeper level before major developments happened.
That said, the book still has an engaging premise and some interesting ideas that show a lot of potential. The world and dynamics hinted at throughout the story made me curious about where the series could go, and I can definitely see the foundation for something really compelling.
For me, what would have elevated this book to a five-star read would have been more emotional development and slower pacing in the early relationship moments. Spending more time establishing the characters, their personalities, and their connection before the bond forms would have created stronger emotional impact and made the big moments feel more meaningful.
Even with those critiques, I still found the book enjoyable as a short, entertaining read. I think the author has some strong ideas and creative direction, and I’d love to see those continue to develop with deeper character work and expanded emotional buildup in future books.
Overall: 3 stars for me.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. It did have a few typos but not enough to be bothered by. I really enjoyed the over all plot but if I’m being honest, there was a “twist” in it that caught me off guard that became an “ick” for me. But that’s a personal “ick” and has nothing to do with the book itself. I’ve read all genres with all types of tropes and if this classifies as a trope, then I’ve finally found one that is a No for me. I don’t want to create a spoiler for anyone by saying what it is, but I’m happy to privately share that information if you ask. But again, the story itself was great! I loved the characters and their growth throughout the book…… well, maybe not all of them lol! Ugh, the mom was horrible. But there always has to a villain. And I do enjoy the villains, so maybe if there had been a little bit more substance to her character, maybe I wouldn’t have been so annoyed by her. I also felt the book started feeling rushed as it got closer to the end and I wish that wasn’t the case. So ultimately I give it 3 stars and even though it had an “ick”, I still want to read the next one, because I feel invested in the characters which is a big deal for me and I have to read Lance and Morgan’s story.

When I started this book, I felt sorry for Rhys because of how his mother had treated him. But that quickly faded, and I started to really dislike him. I thought Kason was adorable and loved that he was outspoken. Lance reminded me of my best friend. I seriously thought Deacon was going to be a good guy; I was wrong. And I won't even get started on the subject of Bryce. I quickly fell in love with Morgan, and I loved that Kason didn't hold the past against Morgan and was still willing to help him. I'm super excited to continue with the series. I want to know who on the Council was helping Deacon because I don't think it's going to be the obvious choice. All in all, I think this was expertly written; it pulls you in from the beginning and keeps you there the entire way through.

**I SELECTED THIS FREE ARC TO READ AND TO REVIEW VOLUNTARILY**
The set up for this book was very descriptive. I could see the world the author was creating from the beginning.
The worlds were crafted with care, as were most of the characters and their development. I would have like to see a more in-depth build of the Alpha and the Omega's relationship. I felt there was too much focus on what happened at Trinity Falls, instead of what was going on between the two MMCs. If that would have happened, I would have given this book 5 starts.
It is a great, quick read and I suggest reading this if you are a fan of omegaverses!
This is a dark mm omegaverse romance with mpreg. Rhys starts out as a piece of crap alpha, but then he finds his fated mate a no-nonsense omega. He then starts to see things differently and changes into a better person allowing growth of character. Poor Kason is in for a shock of his life and forced to navigate a world he didn’t even knew existed. This is a start of the series, and I hope that in the other novels we will start to see chance in the ruling council that governs the supernatural and see treatment of omegas becoming better than they are in this one.

Kason is an Omega out on the town with his best friend, Lance. Alpha Rhys is a playboy. They hook up & Rhys decides Kason is his fated mate, Kason agrees to let him bond. Unfortunately, Kason is in for a rude awakening Kason when he learns the rules of Alphas & the role an Omega plays in the relationship. Exciting story line, Low to medium angst, drug addiction rehab, controlling family. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Rhys is initially a horrible person/Alpha, always in trouble. When he meets Kason, his fated mate, he behaves recklessly and puts them both in danger. Mason is plunged into a completely unknown world and is literally scrambling to navigate it. The powers that be are dealing in political machinations behind the scenes and they seem to be at the center of it. I'm really interested in seeing where this series goes.
Lots of twists and turns throughout this book to keep me glued to the pages. Exciting storyline. Lots of secrets, suspense, drama filled pages. Multi layered characters whose journey together was interesting to follow along with.
