Perfectly Us by Samantha Brinn eARC Review 🏈🩵
This book is second generation perfection. I loved very second of seeing all these characters again and I’m pretty sure I had a permanent smile on my face the entire time I was reading.
I am truly obsessed with everything about Cam and Maddy. Their story is the sweetest. The forbidden aspect is delicious. The found family in this book is incredible, in true Sam fashion. The comfort that the two of them give each other and the way they understand one another. It truly is as if Maddy is the missing piece in Cam and his kids life.
After losing his wife several years ago, Cam didn’t think a second chance at love was possible but then he spots a red head in a bar and their story is sweet, spicy, forbidden and beautiful. Maddy is starting her career in professional sports and knows that dating a player isn’t a good look, but she has a really hard time resisting Cam Lowry and his incredible children, Riley and Ethan.
This book is exactly the reason that Sam is an auto buy, auto read author for me. This entire world she has created is my favorite and I don’t see that ever changing.

I love me a second gen series, and Sam kicks this off perfectly with Maddy’s story. The little girl we met in the Laws of You series is all grown up and a kick ass sports psychologist (which makes total sense if you read her parents’ story. If you didn’t, nbd, go back and read it after this). But then ooops! She accidentally has the best sex of her life with the widowed star of the football team she just signed on to work with.
This is everything you’ve come to expect from Sam if you’ve been reading her for a while—amazing found family, the elevation of strong women, a story with real heart and emotional pull, banter and fun, and delicious spice. And if this will be your first Samantha Brinn book, those are all the reasons you need to pick this one up!

Sam has done it again and so freaking well. I’m a sucker for next gen and Sam does not disappoint with Maddy and Cam.
This whole universe Sam has created has clicked together to give us not only Maddie but we also meet some of our fave characters kids and these lot are amazingly perfect!
Maddie - badass sports psychologist to her uncle Brian’s football team. Cam - hot single dad who happens to play on said football team! Let’s just say when these two meet for the first time you can feel the chemistry coming off the pages and when they realise who the other one is I had to laugh because Cam would not and did not give up! I absolutely loved his kids they were awesome!
I love Emma and Jeremy but they were chef kiss in this book!
Sam absolutely smashed it - excellent book leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for what is coming next and I can’t wait!

I think I’m still swooning over Cam and how much I love him! When he & Maddy have a steamy one night stand, neither of them anticipates seeing the other again…much less the very next day. Despite trying to avoid the obvious attraction for each other, I love glimpses of the smaller moments between these two and how they both show each other they care. Plus, the filthy mouth Cam has is downright perfect and I was eating up those spicy scenes! This might be my fave S. Brinn book yet! No notes!

Sam is just the queen of romance. She knows how to pull you into a story and welcome you into the arms of her main characters.
Cam and Maddy meet at a bar and share a night together that neither of them could ever forget. Next time they see each other she’s the psychologist for his football team. The love these two exude was so palpable, not just for each other but for the family and friends around them. Their story made me feel so warm, it was like a big hug.
