Casey Dawson's world shattered the day her twin brother was murdered. Now, grief is her only companion-until Weston Hayes, a mysterious stranger with secrets of his own, walks into her life at Corey's funeral. As Casey and Weston are drawn together by loss and undeniable attraction, the truth about Corey's death threatens to tear them apart. In a small Appalachian town where everyone knows your name-and your secrets-Casey must decide if love is worth risking everything, even when forgiveness feels impossible.
Raw, addictive, and emotionally charged, Indigo is a story of family, trauma, and the dangerous hope that comes with letting someone in. Will Casey survive the truth, or will the ghosts of Bakers Ridge claim her too?
This was a pleasant breath of fresh air from my usual genre! First of all, M.K. Long, how dare you scare us like that, then end the story so abruptly!!? 😭😭 I was anticipating something bad to happen since these 2 met, & when it did, I was so mad at Weston!! 🙈 But I absolutely adored Weston & Casey’s story! Something about finding love during/after grief in such a “normal way” was easy to relate to & that affected me wholeheartedly . Errors were minimal, & it did not take away from the overall story; it flowed well, all characters were essential & the plot was well told.
Thank you for a chance to read this gem for free. I’m leaving this of my own accord.
I enjoyed this read very much. the development between Casey and Weston felt organic and was a nice slow sizzle. There was always the undercurrent of something bad was going to happen and it does, thankfully there is a small glimpse of happiness through the small ending. I wish there was more to their story as I wanted more but overall this was a good read.
Thankful for the opportunity to have read this and look forward to more stories.
*was given this opportunity to read before release.
very quick easy read, it pulled me in from the start. story follows Casey after the loss of her twin. while managing her grief she meets his best friend she never knew he had. Their relationship slowly develops, however he is keeping secrets and the reason he feels guilty for her loss hidden.
