Allie Renner's life was already a hot mess before the bodies started showing up.
Her new wedding planning business with her mother is testing every last nerve she has. She's somehow been hired to plan the wedding of the man who once cheated on her. She's the last single woman standing in her friend group. And she's stuck working alongside Jackson Durand — her childhood best friend, her sworn enemy, and the absolutely infuriating and ridiculously good-looking man who suddenly can't stop looking at her like that.
She does not have time for any of this.
She especially doesn't have time for a killer with a taste for the event planning industry — leaving bodies around Wixby in ways that are equal parts baffling and deeply unsettling. But when the threat gets close enough to put her and her mother squarely in the crosshairs, ignoring it stops being an option.
Good thing Allie has never been the kind of woman who backs down from a fight. Bad thing — neither has Jackson.
With danger closing in and a romance she absolutely did not plan for threatening to derail everything, Allie is about to learn that the most chaotic events aren't always the ones on the calendar.
Pretty Party is the fourth book in the Baxley Bakery series — messy, swoony, and darker than it has any right to be. Contains steamy scenes, coarse language, kidnapping, and murder. Best read in order. Recommended for readers 18+.
Cat Leigh loves to write books full of sweet and steamy romance, often with humor, mystery, and suspense thrown in. She fills her novels with fun, complicated characters and relationships and sets them in the world she knows best: the Southern U.S. It’s always been her hope to help people escape into her stories and lose themselves for a while in the worlds she creates.
She lives in Metro Atlanta with her husband, her two amazing boys, and her dog. When she’s not writing or reading, she can be found watching sports with her family, hanging out with her children, baking, or trying to make arts and crafts while listening to true crime podcasts.
She loves to connect with her readers, so message her at her website: www.catleighbooks.com, or sign up for her newsletter to get free stories, find out more about her, or get recipes mentioned in her Baxley Bakery series. You can also follow her on social media, such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Goodreads, BookBub, and her Amazon author page.
I loved the way what happened in the past was interwoven using flashbacks throughout the book. Throw in some twisty suspense in the present and it made it very difficult to put this book down! Can't wait to see how this series ends!
