This was hilarious when I was a 12 year old kid growing up in Virginia. I haven’t read it since 1992, so there’s no way to know if I’d still be into it.

Kinda outdated (published late 80s) but still an easy one-day read. Interesting to read about a southerner born and bred but transplanting into diff northern cities for his writing career. Esp NYC.

In 2022 this resonated with me now because of the multiple hilarious jabs at Biden and the concerning trend of more and more Yankees transplanting down South due to the obvious cheaper costs... but Bo cant include the modern reasons for the jump of Yankees nearby now.

Folksy southern humor book from the 1980s. Written by a boomer. Might not mean to offend, but feeds some negative stereotypes.

Yeah, yeah, I know...one of those stupid "Southern humor" books, but seriously, they crack me up!
