Rate this book
Up and down the country, people love Ruth Langsford's zest for life and ability to find the humour in any situation. Every day through her work at Loose Women, she meets people who have been through the most astonishing highs and lows. Her warm and open interviewing style has made her one of the UK's favourite broadcasters.

Now, in her first ever book, she's opening up about her own ups and downs like never before.

From her rebellious school days to starting out in telly, Strictly Come Dancing and her close bond with her family, she's sharing the experiences that have shaped her and the lessons that she's learned along the way. Throughout everything, Ruth has retained her trademark humour and sense of fun, and now she wants to share how she's found her way back to feeling fabulous, no matter what.

I enjoyed listening to this. Ruth was a good reader - and it was fascinating learning about her life. She is obviously still getting over her divorce but she can do far better than him anyway.

This is a joyful book, and as a woman in my 60s, like Ruth, I could relate to lots of the subjects she covers.

I can't help but see Ruth as the head girl as she has that air about her, which has made her a professional on TV for many years. I admire how she has coped with her parents' dementia (my parents died of dementia too), so much of what she said resonates. The loss of her sister was a huge blow, and then the ending of her marriage. She has experienced many big losses which our age group understands as they've had those too.

It is to her credit that Ruth doesn't want to discuss her marriage to Eamon Holmes. However, as a reader, I found the book left me more questions than answers.

I hope Ruth will be able to continue her career. She is a role model for anyone in this stage of life. The only thing I'd say is, just loosen up a bit, Ruth!

I love watching Ruth on Loose Women & QVC, also loved her and Eammon on This Morning, was sad when they left.
I listened to this via Audible (a good reduced price subscription)
A good insight into her life. It was interesting to hear about her early life with her parents and sister. Although I did know parts of her story, I did find it engaging, esp as it was Ruth who actually narrated the book.
I'm also glad that she didn't actually go into the ins and outs of her divorce, didn't blame anyone etc. This book was more about how she coped with everything she has been through in her life. Quite a short book, so I managed this in a short time.
I'm glad I listened to the audio version of this, but I would have given it more stars but for her use of bad language.

I’m so glad to have read this book and also that Ruth has put her life into her own words. So much nonsense has been written in magazines, so it’s lovely to know that the truth of her life has countered all of that. I found it a very positive read, and I’m struck by Ruth’s steady and kind approach in all that she does. Her generosity of spirit and her honesty about her own self-doubts warms my heart. More than that her enjoyment of the small things and her appreciation of others is just lovely. Good advice for us women who share her age and attitude. Whatever she will become will be wonderful.

I’ve just finished Feeling Fabulous by Ruth Langsford and honestly… my only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough 👀✨

I absolutely loved this. It’s such a positive, uplifting and genuinely feel good read from start to finish. Even when it touches on tougher moments, it never feels heavy it keeps that warm, reassuring tone throughout.

It feels like sitting down with someone who just gets it and reminds you to take care of yourself, reset, and just be kind to who you are.

I’d highly recommend this, especially if you’re looking for something easy, comforting and motivating. It’s the perfect holiday read or something to dip into when you need a little boost 💖📖

What a way to finish my audio listening month, I loved this memoir by Ruth Langsford!

She touches on it all, her divorce, the loss of her sister, ill heath in her parents, it’s heartbreaking but very heartwarming too.

The ultimate hun x

I really enjoyed this book. It was an uplifting feeling fabulous read. It made me feel good about myself and I’m not the only one that has ups and downs in life. There are lots of positives about life too. Don’t take my word for it though and have a read.

I did enjoy this book as it was inspirational in some parts and it was refreshing to see no negetive regarding her husband. It was heart wrenching about her mum and sister but on the whole a good read. I wouldn’t say it was life changing just a ok book to read..

I expected more from this, it was also a very thin book so not worth the £10.96 I paid

Ruth writes with honesty, hope and a lifetime of experience. She loves and treasures her friends and family, works hard and keeps on going. In different ways inspirational and reassuring.
