Book Eight in the series Pride & Prejudice & Potions. Georgiana Valemont prefers her library to the royal duties of her Pemberley estate. Her quiet holiday is shattered when a blizzard traps a houseful of guests, and a former classmate is found murdered in the stables. Teaming up with Henry, a charming old friend, Georgiana must navigate new romance and old secrets to unmask the killer hidden among the guests before the storm—and the murderer—claims another victim.
PRIDE & PREJUDICE & POTIONS A Jane Austin Cozy Mysteries. Georgiana's story BY REBECCA YOCKEY. 5 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨s. Once again another stunning cover for this book. I adored the coziness surrounding this book. I snuggled up in bed and read this in one sitting. Just perfect. Loved it. Another epic book in a epic series ☺
All books are standalones but I highly recommend to read them all in order. You'll love them and will become hooked.
A cozy new addition to the series taking place during the holidays what can be better! I loved reading about Georgiana and seeing her personality shine. She was a mystery in the previous books as she is often being guarded by her big brother Darcy. I liked following along in solving a murder mystery within her home all the while trying to discover who is writing love letters to her. Georgiana and Darcys relationship is so sweet. She understands why he is so protective of her and she herself is some what protective of him. She wants to make sure everything she does is approved by him. Her kindness to everyone including the staff and the relationships shes developed with them and pointing out that they are family just goes to show how kind she really is. Georgiana deserved a happily ever after. It was such a sweet and cozy read with a dash of love, honestly its the best way to describle Georgiana. How can you not love her and her story?
Gorgiana’s Story is a cozy fantasy romance with magic, murder mystery, romance and enchanting holiday vibes. I love the Pride & Prejudice & Potions series so much and this is hands down my favorite book in the series so far. I loved Geogiana so much, and her love story with Henry was just the sweetest! Geogiana is a fae princess and also Darcy’s little sister. I really enjoyed getting to know her and reading about her strong sibling relationship with her protective brother Darcy. I hope we get to see more of her in future books. Geogiana is such a strong, multifaceted and interesting heroine to read about, and I loved that she named her cat Marshmallow and her dog Waffles. As a girl who named her cat after her favorite pastry, I can very much relate to Geogiana on naming your pets after foods!
Thanks a million to Rebecca Yockey for a copy of this ARC!
Georgiana's story being at this point of Pride and Prejudice makes sense, but I really wish she had paid more attention to Darcy and Lizzy now that they've met up again. This was also another little break from Austen Heights, like Jane's story, so there were a lot of new characters to learn about who hadn't been anywhere near any of the other stories and the characters we've been spending the whole series slowly learning about. The revelations at the end of this one were interesting though, and I'm curious to see how this has helped changed Darcy's views.
I love a good little snowed in romance even if it is tainted by murder. Georgiana the high fae princess was enjoying a boring day then a massive snowstorm hits trapping her with people both new and old and a murder to solve. She meets up with an old classmate Henry and they team up to figure out the murder. Overall a very cute book, I’ve enjoyed getting to meet and learn more about every character in this telling of Pride and Prejudice. A special thank you to the author for allowing me to be on their ARC team and get to experience all of these books.
Georgiana is a character that often doesn’t really get much attention in the pride and prejudice universe. However, she is a very interesting character and I am happy to see her getting attention in this series! I really enjoyed how cozy this novella is. So fun! 5 stars
I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.
If you love to read about house parties, snow storms and getting snowed in, childhood friends to dating, and love letters this is a great book. Georgiana and Hunter were a cute couple and were able to figure out the mystery together well. I enjoyed seeing Darcy and Lizzy together. I look forward to reading the next book to see what happens with all the characters.
Another sweet addition to the cosy crime series. Georgiana uncovers who her mysterious secret admirer is that has been leaving her poetic love letters, and she reunites with an old school friend and plays detective to solve the latest murder at Pemberley. It's an intriguing murder mystery, where everyone is snowed in together, and everyone's a suspect. The bond between Henry and Georgiana was sweet, and I liked seeing how brave, honest and genuine she was. I loved the cosy Christmas atmosphere, and cute pet names.
Zac DeLounge has been murdered on Pemberly land in a squall. All the guests and murderer are trapped by the storm. Georgiana keeps receiving love notes from a secret admirer. Georgiana and Henry take to questioning the guests and try to solve the murder before the police can come in. Can they solve the case before anyone else gets murdered and what else is the secret admirer hiding?
A light and fun pre-Christmas mystery. A wonderful twist on Jane Austen. I loved this one and it was interesting to see Darcy and Georgiana in a new light and read about the magic of their home. Can’t wait for the next installment.
Another wonderful book in this cute mystery/fantasy retelling of Pride and Prejudice. It was so incredibly fun to read Georgina’s story and have her character developed so much further than it is in the original. I also loved that the setting for this book is all at Pemberly. In fact, it’s right when Lizzie is visiting. Such a great connection! Rebecca Yockey has created yet another irresistible cozy weekend read. I’m loving this series!
"Henry, I don't know what will happen between us. But it feels right, and if it is, I won't let titles, royal lineage or anything else get in the way." 🩵
I really enjoyed this next instalment in the Pride & Prejudice & Potions series and Georgiana’s story was such a cosy, wintry treat. The snowed-in setting worked perfectly for a classic whodunnit and I loved how the blizzard trapping everyone together instantly raised the tension. The mystery itself was engaging without being dark, which is exactly what I want from this series.
Georgiana was a lovely FMC to follow. Her preference for books and quiet over duty made her very easy to root for and I enjoyed seeing her step into a more active role as the story unfolded. Henry was equally charming and their romance was soft, gentle and full of mutual respect. I especially liked that their relationship developed alongside the investigation rather than overtaking it.
The balance between cosy mystery, light romance and magical Austen-inspired vibes felt spot on here. This book delivered exactly what it promised. Another warm, enjoyable addition to a series I’m continuing to have a great time with.

Travel inside the mind of one of the sweetest, most protected, and lovely characters of all, Miss Georgiana as she reconnects with a former classmate in search of a murderer. She is 100% exactly as serene as I always hoped she would turn out to be!
A captivating story full of wonderful characters in a charming setting. Georgiana is amazing, but my favourite character is Henry, I love his possibilities ring!
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
Another great installment! Absolutely loved the main characters. Georgiana was so like able loved the cozy winter mystery vibes of the book. It was the perfect Christmas read. Can't wait for the next one.
Thank you to the author for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
Another chapter in the pride & prejudice & potions series has smashed it out the park. I picked it up and read it in one sitting. I am very interested to see where the relationship between Georgiana and Henry. I love the manor house with its secret passage ways and how it manoeuvres people to where they need to be.
I received this book as an arc and this is my honest opinion.
Another sweet cozy in this series! I think Georgiana is a rather underrated character who doesn't get enough limelight in P&P, so I enjoyed getting this story just for her, as well as the series prequel.
(Pst! The two stories have a couple small connections. You don't have to read the prequel to understand this story, but it adds to it a little.)
Perfect short story and Christmastime setting for cuddling up with a blanket and hot drink while you read.
Thanks so much to the author for the chance to ARC read!
Darcy's little sister, Georgiana, gets her time to shine in this snowed in murder mystery!
Georgiana Valemont spends most of her time holed up in her own personal library when she isn't attending to all her duties around the Pemberley Estate. The holidays are her favorite time of year, but her peaceful days get shattered when a murder occurs on her family property. Not only is a murderer on the loose, but a dangerous squall comes through, snowing in everyone that was in the royal estate. Now, Georgiana must team up with her dear friend Henry and solve this murder before anyone else gets hurt.
I swear, I fall more in love with this world with every book that I read! Georgiana is such a charming young lass, and I absolutely adored my time with her. Darcy keeps her closely guarded for most of this series, so we don't know a ton about her, besides everything we learned in the series' prequel. It was really nice to tie up the loose ends about Georgiana's secret admirer and give her the happily ever after she deserves.
Georgiana's powers connect her to nature, so she can communicate with plants and receive strong signals from animals. She also has the power to soothes those that she has physical contact with. This may seem like she has more powers than other fae, but she comes from a pure fae bloodline and is a princess, so it all checks out. One of my favorite things about Georgiana's character is the fact that she is super down to earth and that she doesn't view herself as superior despite her bloodline. Also, the way that she adores the plants and animals around her estate is so wholesome. It is hard not to absolutely love this girl.
The holiday vibes are still present in this one, but it has more of a wintery vibe overall. Pemberley is decked out in its full Christmas glory and some of the characters do a bit of a gift exchange towards the end, but that was about it. For me, the snowed in vibe of this story really made the story feel extra wintery, which was definitely a plus.
The murder mystery element in this one had me completely engaged. Georgiana was injured during the duration of the crime (the gunshot spooked her horse) and it took place on her property, so this murder felt very personal. My suspicions were confirmed decently early on in this one due to the fact that most of the suspects seemed super unlikely and the actual murderer seemed to have strong motives. The snowed in with a murder element always adds so much tension to a story; I truly will never get enough of that trope!
As for progressing the "Pride and Prejudice" story plot, this one doesn't do a whole lot. However, Miss. Lizzy Bennet does find herself snowed in with the rest of the gang, which forces her to spend some quality time with Mr. Darcy. Since their big fight happened in the previous book, they had some things that they desperately needed to work through. Having them stuck in the same building for an entire day was the perfect way to push them together and force them to work on some things.
Overall, I absolutely adored my time with "Georgiana's Story." All of these books are short reads, but I found myself picking this one up every chance I got until I finished it. Georgiana is such a gem that it's hard not to root for her and Henry's happy ending. The murder mystery plot of this one had me entirely hooked and I am an absolute sucker to how the snowed in events added tension to the mystery. I am definitely going to start "Lydia's Story" as soon as I am able because I truly cannot get enough of this world!
I loved that we went back to Georgiana (Darcy's sister), as she is the focus of the prequel story. Her fae gift is just the cutest thing, being able to literally talk to plants, Rosie returns from the prequel, a cute miniature rose plant. Pemberley is hosting an art display of their large collection during the holidays, so the house is also decked out with festive decor. After Georgiana has a horse riding incident, and is brought back to Pemberley, very unexpectedly, by her school and childhood friend Henry, a body is found in the horse stables. With a huge storm coming in, the police are unable to get to the house until the next day, and the remaining guests from the art display have to stay the night. Which means, the killer may be in the house! With nothing much to do being cooped up in the storm, Georgiana can't help but start investigating, with Henry offering his help. Will they find the culprit before they do any more damage?
This story is cozy and sweet, even with a murderer on the loose. All of the Christmas decor makes for a festive setting, and Georgiana even converses with a live Christmas tree ensuring it will be planted back outside after the holiday. I just love that Pemberley apparently has multiple libraries! Georgiana has her own personal one that she likes to escape to, Darcy also has his own personal library, and then of course there is a third, the largest one, shared with guests.
It was fun to read Georgiana and Henry re-acquaint themselves as they worked on solving the murder. As Georgiana uncovers Henry's secret, the walls of uncertainty between them start to come down. Henry may be human, but Georgiana does not want to let fae lineage dictate how she lives her life.
We got to read more of Darcy and Lizzy in this story, Lizzy of course was at the art display to write an article, and as usual, tensions seem to be high between the two. But I really enjoyed reading more about Darcy and his character as we get closer and closer to Darcy's story!
Some fav quotes: "Another flight of stairs brought me to the third floor, which housed my personal library. It was the perfect place to hide away, and littered with books, shelves of them, stacks of them, piled nearly to the ceiling in places."
"The pure bliss of the moment overruled my thoughts, and I wondered why I was so worried about solving the murder when I'd had Henry in front of me this whole time."
""You're a combination of ordinary and extraordinary.""
"Darcy nodded, giving poor Henry the full Valement gaze...I'd seen most of my family deliver the gaze at one point or another, and it generally had the effect of turning that victim into an ingratiating oaf."
"And what a handsome man you've chosen. Rosie's chattering continued, which was made more ridiculous by the fact that plants can't see."
Thank you so much to the author for a copy of this book!
🏍️my thoughts: I'm going to be brutally honest, this may have been my least favorite book of the series so far. The romance felt a bit forced, the murderer's intent was a bit hazy, and it just felt like this book would have been great as a novel instead of less than 200 pages. For example, Georgiana claims SEVERAL times that she and Henry were childhood friends but that struck me as odd that Darcy didn't know about him at all until they met. And then Lizzy being there too searching about the art, was that a lie so she could look into Darcy more or 🤔
I'm not going to go fully into how the murderer's motive was hazy, but the murder mystery felt akin to your typical mystery of "Okay I think it's this person" .. "No wait, maybe this one," and while I kind of expected who the actual criminal was, the motive surprised me.
I'd have to say my favorite part of this book was probably the cute moments between Georgiana and Henry, and Darcy and Lizzy. I'd still recommend reading this book though, especially if you're reading the rest of Pride & Prejudice & Potions.
As always, this is perfect for readers who love Jane Austen, murder mystery, and sweet kisses all wrapped in one.❄️ Join me in falling in love with Austen Heights and the Pride & Prejudice & Potions series that only has four books left!!
This was a cozy, wintry addition to the Pride & Prejudice & Potions series and a really enjoyable chance to finally get inside Georgiana Darcy's head. The snowed-in Pemberley setting creates the perfect atmosphere for a classic whodunnit, complete with Christmas décor, magic, secret passages, and plenty of time spent in libraries.
Georgiana shines as a gentle, book-loving heroine who gradually steps into a more confident and active role as the mystery unfolds. Her reconnection with Henry is sweet and soft, with a romance that feels respectful and low-key, developing alongside the investigation rather than overtaking it. The secret admirer subplot adds extra charm, and it was fun seeing Darcy and Lizzy appear again, especially as we get closer to Darcy's own story.
While the mystery and pacing weren't perfect, the book still delivers exactly what it promises: a warm, cozy blend of Austen vibes, light romance, magic, and murder. Overall, it's a comforting, festive read and a solid addition to a series that continues to be a lot of fun.
Everyone knows the privileges a title can bring, but few understand the burden of being treated not as a person, but as an opportunity for someone else to rise. Georgiana learned that in the hardest way, and the memory remains far too fresh to ignore. One moment, an old wish seemed finally within reach; the next, the realization came that her brother had been right all along.
Now, fate delivers an unexpected twist: a sudden incident leaves a few visitors literally trapped inside the estate, compelling a closer look at the people around her. Gradually, it becomes clear that appearances reveal very little — many of those guests carry lives far different from the polished portraits they present.
And amid this confinement, Georgiana stumbles upon something she never thought possible, something she never believed she could truly have. A discovery that makes her understand her brother in ways she never imagined.
Finally I got to read Georgiana's story. And again I wasn't disappointed. Georgiana is such an interesting character, so it was a lot of fun, finally diving into her story.
Until around 75% I thought the murderer was someone else, then I changed my mind and yet again was mistaken and pleasantly surprised by who it really was. Something the authors in this series really are able to pull off every time!
I enjoyed the sparkling relationship not just between Georgiana and Henry, but also between Lizzy and Darcy on the side (I can't wait to read their happy ending - fingers crossed).
The Christmas theme, the snow storm made the whole thing for a cosy read. And again, the recipe at the end gives the whole book a wonderful touch.
I know I’ve said this a million times, but I’ll say it a million and one... I truly love this series. Georgiana’s story was such a wonderful addition, and I really enjoyed getting to dive deeper into her character.
The setting was absolutely perfect. Being snowed in added so much atmosphere, and I loved getting to explore the halls of Pemberley a bit more. Georgiana quickly became a favorite of mine—not just because she has an incredible library to escape into, but because she’s such a genuinely lovable character. Her relationship with Henry felt so natural and well-paced, and I adored the secret admirer element as well.
The murder mystery was really at the forefront of this story, which I appreciated, and I loved seeing Lizzy and Darcy brought back together, too. There was a lovely balance between mystery and romance.
I am looking forward to reading the next story in our series!
Murder at Pemberley! Could it be true? I really enjoyed this story. Georgiana is one of my favorite characters throughout the pride and prejudice realm. And the story was so sweet with a little bit of mystery, and great detective work. It was entertaining to watch the relationship grow between Georgiana and Henry. I thought it was a great addition to the series. It’s short and sweet and you can read it in an afternoon.
This was an enjoyable read that connected to the Pride and Prejudice and Potions series, but I do feel like this story was a little bit slower than the others. I do feel as though it was sort of a bridge story to introduce some additional characters, though it included characters from past stories as well. Definitely still a great read, and it really emphasizes the holiday snowy experience.
Cozy Christmas vibes? Perfect. Georgiana? More personal and lovable than ever. A murder in the residence compound pulls her into a mystery alongside an old college classmate, and their reunion sparks something sweet. Loved the atmosphere from start to finish. Grateful for the ARC.
Stunning! I love the portrayal of the characters in modern day. It somehow is true to who they are- fitting them so, so well- while creating an exciting extension to the tale we love. Another masterpiece to this series. (And possibly my favorite 😉)
