: The ATK series have never failed me. Each recipe comes out perfect each and every time! I also appreciate the addition of cooking/baking tips, equipment ratings and overall summary of what they were trying to achieve with each recipe, what worked, what didn't and why. These books do far more than slap a recipe on a page. They provide you the reasoning as to why the recipe is written, why it works and what to avoid.

I do like the tv show and the books are like a concentrated version. The recipes are straight Americana but the advice and testing is worthwhile reading.

Every recipe in this book is reliable and tastes great. Not always easy to make, but you know that it'll be worth it.

I'm so spoiled by beautiful color photos that the albeit lovely black and white photos were just not as intriguing. Some good recipes and of course, it's fun to read about the show.

Tried the pad thai, summer berry pie, four cheese baked pasta. All delicious. Excellent cook book!
