Wasn’t perfect during Lent so just finished this. These Lenten devotionals are perfect to me. They daily reading and questions allow for reflection while being just the right length to add into my routine during Lent. I recommend!

Witness: A Guided Lent Journal for Prayer and Meditation is an amazing book. It is designed to be read a page a day during the Lenten season, but could easily be read as a devotional during other times of the year. It is divided into weekly themes (e.g., repentance, trust, compassion, humility, sacrifice) and daily reflections. The daily reflections are unique in that each one focuses on a different person or group of persons in the Passion narrative, and tells a piece of the story from their point of view, or how they acted and/or were affected by the events that unfolded, and the lessons that can be learned from their stories, tying back to the weekly themes. This is an insightful and inspiring book, highly recommended.

Witness – A Guided Lent Journal for Prayer and Meditation is a beautiful tool to accompany anyone on a faith-based journey through the Lenten season. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and then progressing through the following 5 weeks and culminating in Holy week, it will walk with you daily offering meditations, questions for reflection, journaling space and prayers. While this was designed to be used in group setting, I also appreciated working through it personally. This is for believers in any stage of development and maturity. Each week focuses on a new topic as it draws you closer to the Passion. I particularly enjoyed the artwork embedded throughout which seemed to capture various thoughts and emotions of key characters in the Passion story.

Fr Patrick this devotional was so delightful. It was my first Lent away from college/community, where I had reverted back to the faith. I never took Lent seriously back at home until this year. It was an easy daily read that helped my prayer schedule become more balanced, and drew me closer to the Passion leading up to Holy Week. The book study was also very good, it would be nice to do another one with you. Also the reflections online were always something to look forward to!

This was a wonderful Lenten prayer guide! Each day of Lent has a 1-page reflection on someone who was a witness in some way to the events of the Passion, followed by a couple of thought-provoking questions and a short prayer. It's very easy to read but packed with great insights. We will use this book next Lent to lead a small group study.
