Lies and subterfuge will be our weapons, so ensuring we have the right allies is paramount. Only a select few can be trusted with the truth.

The road ahead is shrouded with uncertainty. The only thing we can be sure of is the present, and I’m determined to spend that time with my mate. But how can I bask in joy when my happiness breaks another goyle’s heart?

As we scramble to put the pieces of the puzzle together and form a clear picture of the true face of our enemy, time is running out.

If they strike before we’re ready, then we’re all doomed.

The conclusion…

We finally reached the conclusion of Cameron’s story and it’s so bittersweet! I gotta say I’m super bummed with the very end solely bc I love Curi so so much, however I’m glad we are getting a book series for him.

I really liked the action in this one, it was thrilling and kept us on our toes. We finally got resolution for many arcs over the series, like with Yolina. Ubron was amazing here and I loved his scenes.

Serath still isn’t my fav, and I’m not sure why lmao. Curi made a lasting impact on me I guess. There was a lot of love triangle angst here when there didn’t need to be. It felt cruel to the poor guy. Esp since he and Cam seem to go together like PB&J. Anywho, I’m sure whoever he ends up with will be his perfect partner!

It was a good ending, not exactly HEA but not so bitter I choke...it was full of not fair but okay, woohoo, and well that's nice hope they are okay whatever they do type ending.

The book itself is filled with action, unravelled secrets, and truths within told truths within half truths. It was dark in places, trigger warnings are given, so take note.

Throughout it, all we get teased with could be a RH...or maybe not vibe. And while there is fun and love...smex and smut...there's also sadness and heartache. Oh, and Derek, I love Derek ❤️.

What a journey. This book gave us everything we were asking for and then a little bit more. Just an emotional roller coaster that had you guessing until the very end.

In saying that, I really think book 3 and 4 could have been combined. I feel like this gave so much and book 3 didn’t give us much at all. We were also tossed right back into the story, which was great, but a refresher at the beginning would have been beneficial. It took a bit to remember the characters and what had happened previously.

One thing I love that about this series is that we get POVs from nearly all major characters. We are able to experience what is happening with side characters we’ve become connected to and those glimpses of their POVs really added to the story. You experience different emotions and gain a deeper understanding of the characters and the events that transpire.

This series had its ups and downs and I felt thoroughly entertained and invested. I’m glad I got over the hump of book 3 because book 4 was everything we wanted.

Boo

There are so many good reviews that I feel awful giving this 2 stars. But, I just couldn't get into it. I did not like Cameron and Serath. I just couldn't relate to that relationship at all. I understand that they are mates. But I never felt that Serath was likable. I couldn't even read the sexy scenes because it just irritated me that he could treat her so badly, for so long, and yet the mate concept takes over everything. So she acts like nothing bad ever happened because her body tells her otherwise.. I know it's just a story, but that kind of stuff irritates me...When somebody's body body controls their actions instead of their mind controlling their body. I guess it's just a me thing. I would have prefer to see her end up with Levi or Curi. Like I said in my review of 1 of the other books, this should have been a reverse harem instead of ending the way it did.

The final scene with all the action was fine. I guess that I just couldn't get into this series like I thought I would. The whole Cameron\Serath relationship just ruined the whole book for me. The fact that the other guys were much nicer to her, and yet, they get left by the wayside, just irritated me. Again, I saw the good reviews and I can see why some people liked it. There's nothing wrong with the writing. It's an interesting story. I just got hung up on the relationship and couldn't get past it.

The Stone Survival by Debbie Cassidy is book four in the Gargoyles of Stonehaven series. These books aren’t standalones so you need to read them in order. I’ve been intrigued by this series from the get go and knowing this was the last book I was greedy to know what will happen. When I sat down to read this book, I lost time because I was so invested. I really enjoyed seeing all the pieces fall into place and how everything unfolded. I can’t tell you how many times a gripped my kindle right from the suspense and that amazing plot twist. My emotions were put through the ringer, my heart cracked. I really wish this was a why choose romance because… we’ll just because. All the characters are wonderful and reading that ending was just a great conclusion. I really enjoyed the theme of love that comes in all types of forms. Debbie Cassidy did a fantastic job with this series, it was written well… amazing book descriptions and a nail biting plot that was interesting and addictive. I can’t wait to dive into the new series that was hinted. Would highly recommend that you check out this series.

ITS NOT FAIR THAT ITS OVER BEFORE MY HEART WAS READY! Status: currently sobbing into my kindle awaiting a HEA for Curi. He deserved better. *hint: he’s getting his own story with another fave character*

Spice: 3/5
This book in the series has alllll the happenings. First off, did not see that ending and bad guy coming. Debbie, I’ve read everything you’ve ever released, how can you still surprise me?
We picked up RIGHT where we previously left off and the plot never slows down. This author is phenomenal about giving you everything you need without all the extra scenes that make other books drag. Instead she just drags your emotions through the mud, tosses them into a blender and eats them as her morning smoothie like the sadist she truly is. But it’s okay because she usually heals us… usually. I’m awaiting the next series to give a definitive answer on this.

Highly recommend this series by Debbie, there is not a series you have to read before this one to know what is happening.

"The Stone Survival" is the final book in the Gargoyles of Stonehaven series and some of these scenes kick in hard when you're normally a fan of why choose storylines. I'm not saying this as critique, I totally understand why this is an MF romance story, but some parts were truly heartbreaking. Let's just hope these men will find their own HEA in the future.

That being said, I enjoyed this final book. There are some unexpected twists to the storyline until the very end, and I loved watching it all come together. The found family vibes remain strong and I loved watching some of these side characters find their own HEA as well. Looking back at how this series started, it's amazing how far they've all come and what they had to conquer along the way. There is no way I could have ever predicted where these characters would be at the end of this book, and what would happen to them all throughout their stories.

So yeah, this was a fantastic series, where the MF storyline between starcrossed lovers creates lots of angst and where the twists and turns just keep on coming.

As the tension increases with more things going wrong and more plans being foiled, more players come into the picture. This was a great conclusion to the series, with lots of unexpected twists and turns. The surprises keep coming and I loved how they all kept me guessing till the end. I loved the intimacy and relationship between Cameron and Serith and how they were do brutally honest with each other. A great series, and I can't wait to read some spin off's about some of the other characters.

3.5 ⭐️

I know I’m being a bit petty with this rating, but there was a good amount of disappointment for me with how this story went. It was a great story for sure, but there were elements that I just wish had been played out more or played out differently.

I find Cameron’s connection to men to be rather annoying. She wants her cake and she wants to eat it too. And yet the author does nothing with it really. It’s frustrating.

Even in the final book, there’s so much that comes to a head and is new information, but you’re not feeling thrown by it. I enjoy the characters a lot and so many of them developed into something more. Minus the twins. Other than comedic relief, they’re essentially irrelevant to the entire series. Granted that could have been their one and only purpose, but it really didn’t make much sense to have them in the story if I’m being honest.

What I didn’t care for is gonna be in a spoilers section because I need to get out what I really think. All the spoilers are exactly why this got as low of a rating as it did. But overall, the book was good. I just wish it would have taken a few different turns and I didn’t care that these last two books were so darn short.

SPOILERS
———————————————

- I’m still so confused by Romi being her nephew instead of her brother. The timeline around that entire thing is so confusing to me. Like how? I know they explained it but it still just doesn’t really add up in my head. And then at the end when they say screw the cousin thing…but you’re not cousins? He’s your nephew.
- I’m annoyed Flora didn’t play more of a part other than being a remnant. She was so sweet and I wanted more for her.
- The rift scene was so unbelievably anticlimactic. It was getting good and then boom the chapter ends and they’re fast forwarded. It ruined the scene entirely.
- I’m annoyed this didn’t turn into a why choose situation. She has it in her blood. It’s there. It would have been contentious. But I love Curi and I was really starting to like Ubron. Levi was the only one I didn’t particularly care for. But still. It made me dislike Cameron with how she was acting.
- All these pairings and the only gays had tragic stories basically. It felt like a missed opportunity and yet still using the gays but for like “being different” rather than embracing them entirely.

The Stone Survival (Gargoyles of Stonehaven Book 4) by Debbie Cassidy is a paranormal romance with lots of action and surprises. Cam once again has her worldview turned upside down as she discovers the real origin of the Graynites and the Sigma curse. Just when it seems things are dark she is reunited with her mate and discovers a family she didn't know existed. However there is a mole in the academy leaving Cam and her friends no idea who to trust and her life.in jeopardy. As they discover more about the faction they discover there is even more at risk. Will they be able to defeat the faction before it's too late and their world is destroyed.
I had some mixed feeling on this book. I felt bad for all the men Cam left her in wake like Levi, Curi, and Uberon. In general I like the characters and Cam. She always seems to find the positive and Hope to keep her going to her goals. I enjoyed watching Derek come into his own and the other characters that were able to complete a journey of self discovery in this series. I'm really hoping there will be some shootouts of this story with some of the other characters getting their own stories. I know Levi and Curi have theirs but I'm also hoping for something with Derek since there is the whole Fae situation hanging over him like a shadow. There was a lot of discovery is this book of the past and the truth of other characters. Some turned out not to be the villians I expected and some of the good ones turned out to be the evil ones. Lots of twists and surprises until the very end.
I really enjoyed this series but I wasn't thrilled with how some things ended. Cam got her HEA but somehow it felt empty to me. I was left with a kind of “now what?” feeling. The book was well written, I just wish a few things went a different way. However that is a personal feeling and speaks nothing to the story itself. It is an amazing story that kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat waiting for the next surprise. I will definitely be reading Levi and Curi’s story when it's released and can't wait to go back into this wonderful world filled with magic and excitement. If you enjoy stories with fated mates, found family, action. magic, and spice then The Stone Survival is a must read.

“There’s lava in my belly and a telling tightness at the base of my spine. The need to take her is so strong it takes everything I have not to submit because even though she feels like mine, she is not mine.” Gah this book is SO good!! So much happens in this book, even right out of the gate we are hit with so much revelation! I loved seeing all of the puzzle pieces the author so carefully laid out all set piece together in huge WHAT! Moments! The boundaries getting laid down with Curi was so well done! I didn’t realize I needed this until I experienced the scene and felt all the happies from a string tied up. We get a bit of a love triangle which I am totally here for, but from a place I didn’t expect which was a nice twist and really picked up the intense vibe (just a note that this is a firm MF ending, no matter how much I wish I could pull all my favs into a harem haha). We get mystery and solutions to mystery, and an ending that is just icing to a masterful cake. The epilogue was perfection, tying up anything else that might have been a question while also tying things from the beginning to the end. The ending was bittersweet for me because while I loved everything about it, it was sad to say goodbye to so many of my favorite characters! I can’t wait for spinoffs so I can get back to this world. If you like shifters, fated mates, gargoyles, mystery, star crossed lovers, heart breaking moments followed by heart warming moments to put you back together, this is definitely the read for you!

Debbie Cassidy wraps up the Gargoyles of Stonehaven with the fourth and final book, The Stone Survival, and it was freaking epic! OMG, the revelations. It was one after another and that was just the first chapter! It also pretty much set the pace.

So before I barely had a grasp on what this series was about, I thought I forgot or missed something but turns out Debbie wrote it that way. We get an epic backstory, the full history of the gargoyle, gargoyle, graynites, and the five bloodlines. It could be its own series (or at least a huge prequel) it was that good. I get it now.

This book was just so darn heartbreaking. I love these characters and I just want everyone to be okay, heck there was a newish character that not only won my heart but broke it as well. Ugh, why isn't this book a RH? If any book was meant to be a RH it was this one. My heart hurts just thinking about it.

As the story continued on more and more was revealed about the past. Apparently, certain groups only had certain pieces and not the whole picture, Debbie has created a complex tale of epic proportions. As I said before it was just one shocking reveal after another, the two biggest plot twists left me gobsmacked. Like, what?! Debbie has woven this super complex tale that slowly sneaks up on you until this final book and then, bam! All truths spill, so much action, and a little heartache.

The Stone Survival completely blew my mind. What an outstanding read! I loved every minute of it and best of all, I don't have to say goodbye to this universe, Debbie has something up her sleeve and I can't wait.

We hope you’re ready for the conclusion of the Gargoyles of StoneHaven series, because the end (for now) is here! Well, at least this will be the end for Cameron’s story.
The Stone Survival is going to be the dramatic conclusion to the Gargoyles of StoneHaven and you should be warned...brace yourself. In the first chapter alone your eyes are going to bug out of your head and your jaw is going to be on the floor.
This book picks up where book three left off and it’s going to hit you with everything it’s got. The author really pulls out all the stops. Things seem well, but it’s what you don’t see that’s going to really get you. Cameron and Serath are finally bonded, secrets are coming out left, right, and center, and emotions are going to be all over the place.
Stone Survival doesn’t focus solely on Cameron and Serath. We get POVs from multiple other characters, and we get some nice steamy scenes, too. This installment in the series has some slower moments, but it still turns into a page-turner.
I wasn’t on board with Cameron 100% of the time either. I found her a touch selfish and self-centered in this book. Two guys, but especially one in particular is hurting. When he chooses to distance himself, or at least try, he’s made to feel guilty. I wasn’t a fan of that element of the story since she is only concerned when it’s in her face. Literally.
This book brings a lot of drama, but you’re going to get a good ending. I can’t wait to read the spin-off that’s coming! It’s going to be good!

OMG – this was soooo good!

The final book in the Gargoyles of Stonehaven series was absolutely enthralling! Cameron has discovered that Lionel is not her father, and that Ivor Basque (the granite alpha) is truly her father. And the truth to who her mother is…. Wow – mind officially blown!

What they have been told about how the graynites came to be is not what they had learned. Also, now that she and Serath had confirmed their bond, she is more determined than ever to keep him safe from being taken by the faction. Even though Serath fought against the other soul that had taken root, Ubron is still lingering unbeknownst to them for a while. Cameron, Serath and the rest of the Elite have to figure out who the faction is (and it seems that there is a traitor or two in the leadership), take them down, and hope that the other elites who have been taken by them can be restored.

This book was sooo amazing with so many twists and turns … I felt really bad for Levi and Curi since they were both still in love with Cameron, but it seems as though they are getting another series for them! Woohoo!! I also loved Derek and Sharniza’s love story… (sigh). Overall, I was sooo very happy with how this series ended!!!

What an ending. First off I was completely shocked when we finally find out who the mole was. Second I kind of felt bad for Ubron and hope that we get a book for him. Third I’m super excited to see we are going to get a Levi and Curi book. They both deserve it and I’m excited to see their story continue. Now for this book. There was just so much happening. We find out more about the Greynites, we learn how they truly came about and why they are there. We finally learn who Camron’s mother is, we find out the fate of her brother, we finally learn who the mole is and of course we end on a happy ending for most everyone. I was excited to see Serath and Cameron’s relationship grow but was sad to see the story ending. I really grew to like these two and the others and am sad to see them leaving now. Great series though and would recommend it to others looking for a gargoyle read. Derek is still my absolute favorite character and I truly hope that he gets his own story one day. Again cannot say enough great things on this series and really enjoyed the journey and how the author wrapped everything up. Can’t wait to see what she has in store for our two husband again (hint hint) Derek needs his own book.

Oh man I loved reading this book. The Stone Survival is full of shocking twists and surprises all the way through it's pages. It kept me on my toes with all it's captivating action and excitement.
I loved Cameron's strength and stamina to help her friends and mate. She is a force to be reckoned with and there when you need her the most. Cameron's shield Derek is an amazing character he to has strength beyond means considering he is part of Cameron but more human then Tulpa. A Tulpa is a creation from ones mind when they are in need of a friend or boogieman but in this case Derek was really good and he manifested beyond the normal Tulpa status.
Sharniza is a pure Gargoyle meaning that she can shift from human form to gargoyle and she is an amazing character in the story. I love how she over came what she was told by her father about not needing to have pretty things in her life... Because all girls need pretty things.
When things go awry the team members all get together and battle forward to their best and defeat the evil that comes at them.
So, if you love reading about Strong male Gargoyles, Amazing females, Adorable characters like Derek then this book is for you.

The Stone Survival is the final book in the Gargoyles of Stonehaven series and it was perfect. Our FMC, Cameron and MMC, Serath have gone through a lot during the series and honestly, they deserved their happy ending. We've met some amazing characters along the way and even have a few plot twists that I wasn't expecting and it certainly kept me on my toes while reading.

There were a lot of questions when it came to Cameron and her story and we got all the answers we were looking for by the end. It's action-packed and steamy in equal parts and keeps it up until the very last chapter.

I've really enjoyed this series and I'm excited to see that we are potentially getting more stories with Curi and Levi. The whole cast of characters in this story is well thought out and detailed and the perfect mix for Cameron's found family.

I'm kind of hoping we get a story for another character who we met a lot more during this story, who didn't turn out to be the bad guy we are led to believe.

Finally the conclusion I was waiting for and I was not disappointed. Curi still continued to be my top favorite character here with such redemption and just… change from beginning to end.

All the secrets and stories start to unravel here at a relentless pace. Derek really grows into his own and his little plotline was really endearing and sweet. I really loved the multiple povs between all the different characters and how it really wrapped the book up exceedingly well and gave you an overall Birds Eye view of everything that was going on. A true full picture.

Especially with all the truth coming out, the HEA for Cam and Serath was wonderful. Them being able to actually foster their relation wholeheartedly felt like a breath of fresh air amongst all the dire action and fast paced tension the series maintained steadily right up until the end.

Top notch series. Looooved how it ended and I would GLADLY read this all over again.

The finale of this captivating gargoyle romance series delivers an emotional and thrilling conclusion. Cam and her friends face intense challenges, uncovering secrets that upend their world. The intricate plot twists kept me hooked, and the deepening bonds between characters added a heartfelt touch.
Cam's journey, marked by resilience and determination, is truly inspiring. I've loved her character so much throughout the series. The chemistry between her and Serath reaches new heights, adding complexity and passion to their relationship. It was nice they finally got some time together. Though some threads remain unresolved, this book beautifully balances action, romance, and emotion, leaving me eager for future stories.
My heart ached for characters like Curi and Levi, and I sincerely hope they find their own happy endings in future tales. I NEED them to get their HEA!

Book 4 is finally here and I couldn’t wait to get straight into it. Ohh I was not expecting any of that to happen. Once I started I just couldn’t put it down from start to finish. so much happens in book 4 so many truths revealed and seeing the progression of this happen was just great at time all I could do was and then times where I was in tears with this book. The enemy almost trapped them, but it was their turn to set the trap for the enemy. But as with cam and her group nothing ever goes to plan. The group are in a rush to put the pieces of the puzzle together to find out who their enemy actually is before time runs out and they are all doomed. I actually loved and hated the ending to this book. Yeah a little bit of polar opposites, just such a happy ending and at the same time a sad one. Can’t wait to see what becomes of Levi and Curi.

The series Gargoyles of Stonehave, the final book “The Stone Survival”has Cameron trying to save Serath her fated mate. Wow, this conclusion to this series has you wondering who it the person giving information to the fraction. Will Cameron's mother get her memory back as a ghost? Who is Cameron's father? Who is her brother? Can the Elite save mankind? What of the characters, and how they have grown and you have became so involved with their story you hurt with them and cry over their pain. Hoping that things will work out for them. The plot twists and turns and the final conclusion has you holding your breath. When the conclusion does come who are sadden wishing it could go on and you got an answer to each characters life and what happens to them. A conclusion that I don't think anyone could have predicted!

I am so in love with this series and this book, it could possibly be one of my all time favourites.
So much happened in this exciting finale to the series. It's one of those books where you are wanting read fast because you need to know what is going to happen next but at the same time wanting to drag it out because you really don't want to say goodbye to these characters.
As an end to the series it was perfect with action, twists that no one would see coming and friendships deepening and set in stone. Although I was ecstatic for Serath and Cameron my heart did break a little for Levi and especially Curi but it was always going to be that way. Great epilogue where everything is wrapped up and we get to see everyones future plans but i am really sad to say goodbye. This is a series that I am sure I will come back to for a re read in the future. 5 stars just isn't enough!

The Stone Survival is book four in the Gargoyles of Stonehaven series. Though I’m sad to see the series end, I’m more than ready to get some answers for Cam! We picked up right where book three left off and hit the ground running. FINALLY it’s like all the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. We get everyone’s POV which is great.

Why is this not a why choose? I want her to get her HEA and the guys as well. I love Curi and it broke my heart when he didn’t end up with Cam. I know he’s going to show up in another series and he’ll find his perfect match, but it made my heart hurt.

The action in this book was fantastic and I read it so quickly. Ubron was probably one of my favorite characters in this book. The entire series was entertaining and I’m excited to read the next series that seems to be in the future!

Debbie has such a beautiful way of telling a story and enchanting you from page 1. This is the last installment in the Gargoyles series so do yourself a favor and read the prior amazing books.
Cameron's story is instantly a favorite! Cameron just got a huge bombshell dropped on her at the end of the prior book that changes everything. This story is filled with twists and turns but they are so well done! I thoroughly enjoyed the second piece of the bombshell that we got in this book. I love the supporting characters! Debbie creates the most amazing adopted families for our fmc's. Im bummed this series is over with how much I enjoyed this new side of her writing. I hope to explore more of this world in the future.
Debbie thank you for the tears of joy this series brought! You are truly talented with the stories and characters you create!

Bittersweet ending to an amazing series.

I absolutely loved and adored the 4th book of the Gargoyle of Stonehaven Series. It was wonderful, sad, happy, and bittersweet but, I really did love the ending. So many beautiful things happened in this book and, some sad things as well. But, I have to say I think Debbie Cassidy does such a great job of blending the two that you can’t help but feel happy reading her books.

Even amidst all of the sadness and betrayal there was so much love between all the characters that it didn’t really feel like goodbye or an ending, rather. I will say I was not prepared for who was behind the faction.. I won’t give it away but, I didn’t see it coming at all. Which, I think is a testament to this amazing storyline. I can’t wait to read about Curi and Levi’s adventures next!

As always, I am very sad that this series is at an end. I loved this series, and this series-ender is a doozy. Cam and her friends got out of one trap, but they didn’t remain unscathed. There are a lot of secrets that come to light in this, and they are quite unexpected. Just about everything that they believed is wrong, and there’s a whole different story. I thought it was an interesting turn of events, and I was sad for a few involved. Even though I’m sad this is over, we will get to see more of a couple of characters in a future series. So, sadness tempered with happiness. LOL! A worthy end to a great series. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Holy anxiety... at 71% into this book, I truly didn't know how the author could possible wrap up this book. I propped my kindle up and was twisting my hands together about to burst from the anxiety. This story had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down.

Serath and Cameron finally got their time together. It was beautiful to watch them finally have each other. Curi... oh man this one broke my heart. I know more will come for this character and I honestly don't know if I can wait for it. I fell for him hard. In a perfect world Curi, Cam, Levi, and Serath would have all been able to create one family with Cam at the center, but this is UF, not RH... I look forward to seeing these characters again soon. To seeing Curi and Levi get their own happy endings.

I am so happy, and sad, and heartbroken, and made whole...this book just gives you all the feels! I really liked that we didn't solve every single problem by the end of the book - life isn't always perfectly cleaned up. I've always loved Melanie's character, mostly because she was so random and I really never knew what purpose she served. Her arc in this story was easily my absolute favorite. However, I loved seeing Ivor and Lionel get some 'air time' too. And the SECRETS! Sweet stony heaven on high...they really made my jaw drop. My heart seriously bleeds for Curi, Ubron, and Levi - I hope they can find themselves and whatever it is they're looking for. I feel simultaneously satisfied with the end of this book and excited to see what the future holds for some of these characters.

The final book of the series. This series from the start has had so many unique types of characters/species. If you love gargoyles then this is for you. But you also get some new species as well as different types of magic users. Cameron has been the star from the start. She surprises them all on what she is capable of. It all started trying to find her brother but where it brought her was one long and dangerous journey. We meet so many wonderfully written characters. All have been given such depth that you really get to know them. The romance is there and it has been a danger filled ride. Love comes in all forms from friends to lovers. For Cam she would do anything for them all. We also get a glimpse at a new series that some of the other characters will have and I can’t wait for it.

Phenomenal end to series

This series has been unique, with the love intrest from multiple characters that result in a MF HEA. If you love gargoyles then this is for you. I love the other unique characters and unique types of magic users. Cam surprises them all on what she is capable of. It all started trying to find her brother, which lead to her finding her own magic, found family and a long and dangerous journey. I love how the side characters become as intriguing as the main FMC. The romance is amazing, heart wrenching and builds into friendship for some and a fated mate bond winning in the end. Love comes in all forms from friends to lovers. We also get a glimpse at a new series that some of the other characters will have and I can’t wait for it.
