The arms race is about to end. But not in a good way.
Two American astronauts discover something impossible – a Chinese military base on the dark side of the moon. They're silenced before they can report it, their spacecraft obliterated by a missile launched from the lunar surface.
Meanwhile, former Navy SEAL Travis Delta is investigating a brazen attack on the U.S. President and stumbles on a conspiracy that extends far beyond Earth. China has been quietly advancing in quantum computing and deep-space exploration, and now they’re on the cusp of having an invincible weapon that will allow them to dominate the planet.
At the heart of their ambitious program is Dr. Adam Quince, a Nobel laureate. Abducted and forced to work for Beijing, Quince holds the key to a technology that can move objects – and people – across impossible distances in an instant.
Now Delta must work with AI expert Olivia Zumwald to neutralise the lunar threat. The fate of nations hangs in the balance, but is a Glock 20 and limitless raw courage really enough to stop the deployment of this world-changing weapon?

This story begins with Travis in Brazil attempting to disrupt an ISIS group's plan for attacking D.C. Travis and his team accomplish their mission and Travis goes back to Heaven. Shortly there was an attack at the White House to assassinate POTUS, but he was called away to answer a phone call when Marine I was blown up. The next day, the head of U.S. Space Command was killed as well as a major journalist. Travis receives a call from Holloway asking him to come to Langley for a potential mission. It seems that Adam Quince, a distinguished scientist involved with Quantum research has been abducted. Travis is given the mission to locate Adam. This takes him to Zurich where the abduction took place. Travis began by utilizing his contacts and began to track his trail, which eventually led him to Turkey. Once he got there, there was not a lot to go on. It seemed that the Chinese wanted Quince to work with them to create the Quantum Teleporter that Adam was working on. As a result of his work, an accident at the lab wound up transporting Adam and two others from the lab to Australia where their dead bodies were discovered. Because of this accident, Travis was told to return.
Travis on his return wound up on another mission which was to discover what China was hiding on the moon. It seems that China had been building a complex on the dark side of the moon with the intention of controlling space. Travis new mission was to try and find out what they had in mind. Travis then went to China with assistance from a friend in order to gain information from another Quantum scientist.
Read along and follow Travis as he travels to various locations to accomplish his missions. Discover why China wanted Quince, what they planned for the moon was as well as how everything worked in the end, then you need to read this book. You won't be disappointed!
Travis Delta is the character that sets the bar to which every other character that you’ve read or are reading must live up to. No one comes close to the bar he’s set. There was not one time in these 3 books, where I thought, Travis is stupid, a spec ops soldier would never do that. Examples include, leave his gun in the car, never carry a silencer, forgo shooting a person 12 feet away so he can sneak up on him to take him out quietly, only to have the guy squeeze the trigger anyway and make a racquet. Or the times where the spec ops guy makes stupid mistakes where doesn’t pay attention and lets someone sneak up on him, then with the gun touching his head, he does not disarm the bad guy as he was trained, he drops his gun and lets himself get captured so he can find out where the terrorists are hiding. He inevitably takes viscous beatings that he just shakes off, and then saves himself through luck or someone else’s help that he could have never anticipated. Bottom line, Travis Delta is the epitome of a spec ops soldier at the top of his game, who proves it time and time again. There are no unnecessary fight scenes, or forced action just to prove how tuff the main character is. It’s just absolutely great writing, awesome storyline, well developed characters who don’t change personalities every other book, and is far and away the best series in print. I dont know why it took me so long to find the series but I’m glad i did. But now I’m sad that I finished it, and I pray to find another character/series thats 1/2 as good. In all honesty, I always held the ‘old’ Jack Reacher (before Andrew ruined him and the series) as the gold standard hero to live up to…it saddens me to say, Travis Delta is the new number 1, and is currently the best main character in print. Bar none.
I've had the privilege to preview all three Travis Delta thrillers in the past month, and to me, Wipe Out is the best volume so far. This one-man private contractor killing machine seemed derivative at first, but as we get to know the man a little better this time around, we can see he's more than just a blunt instrument you would want on your side when the you-know-what is hitting the fan.
I was pleased this time to see more details about his behind-the-scenes team that helps Delta discover and thwart the cataclysmic threats facing our nation and allies. Stone does a good job building up not only the bad actors - with many parallels to their real-life counterparts - but also includes references to our current state of US politics and the politicians behind them.
Overall, this was a fast-paced and enjoyable read with yet another happy ending. With the never-ending threats facing our nation and the world, it won't be long before Travis Delta is back at it, eliminating threats in his unique manner. I look forward to the next adventure ahead!

This book continues the Travis Hunt series. It opens with dramatic events. A presidential helicopter is destroyed. A senior military official is killed. A TV journalist dies in a hit-and-run accident. At first, these incidents seem unrelated. Travis Hunt is assigned to investigate the truth. The story focuses on concerns about China's military expansion. It also explores advanced weapons and new technology. A significant portion of the book focuses on quantum computing. These sections feel more like science fiction than a thriller. The strong opening does not last. The pace slows as the story moves forward. The plot becomes heavy with theories. Action scenes are limited. The ending is predictable and arrives slowly. Some readers may enjoy the technical ideas. Others may find the story lacking energy. It is not the strongest book in the series, but it may still appeal to loyal fans.
Thank you, Booksprout, for sharing an advanced reader copy of the book for review.
This is a very entertaining story which had me riveted all the way through. It really has everything. Not just your usual spy and political action thriller type of book. It has lots of space science and quantum physics , all of which are way over my head but which added greatly to my enjoyment of the book.
I really hope there's more to come in the series. Travis Delta and his Snakeriver organisation have me hooked.

Loved this non-stop political action thriller staring Travis Delta. He is very smart, practical and strong. I enjoy the way his mind works and how he has connections all over the world. There are several political statements made throughout the book so beware if this is one of your triggers. The book was hard to put down once I started reading.

An excellent novel and a very enjoyable read. This is an adventure / thriller story that is fast-moving, realistic, and filled with twists and turns throughout. The scientific and political elements of this novel are intriguing to the point that it feels like you're watching the evening news. This author has a penchant for taking "just beyond the edge" political & military situations, and creating a very plausible adventure with sound reasoning with its characters.
This is a great read. It is fast paced, non-stop political action thriller. Travis Delta is one smart man it is great reading how he thinks through, making him very practical and knows how to use the connections he has. If you want a great thriller, with pace and characters that pull you in this is it.

I can easily get sucked into a great action thriller and this one was one helluva adventure when you turn the page you never know where you'll end up. Travis Delta is a highly skilled ex-seal who is quick thinking when he's in a jam. If you're looking for an action-packed thriller this would be your kind of book.

Gosh this was certainly a tangled web of something. So many angles. Another great mind boggling thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed it. A particular passage on page 151 probably shouldn’t have, but made me laugh until I cried. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book provided by booksprout.
A fast paced action thriller that keeps Travis Delta working against the clock on several panic level projects. Book #3 in the series, it can be read as a stand alone but the first two books are winners too. Travis is not afraid of hard work and challenging assignments but this time he may have to perform a miracle to save the world.
Russ Stone has done a tremendous job creating and writing the Travis Delta series. His writing style and creativity have produced a very enjoyable series. I hope to be able to read many more.
