For Navy Robertson, she has literally everything she wants except marriage and a family of her own. While she believes she might be able to get those things with her boyfriend, Ian, his toxic back and forth with her closest friend causes drama in their relationship that Navy is finding it harder to ignore.

For over a decade, Zander Gough has been content being Navy’s closest friend. The more serious things get between her and Ian, the more difficult it is for Zander to deny his feelings for her. When Navy decides her friendship means more than her romantic relationship, she sees a side of Zander and Ian that she didn’t expect.

Will the truth of their feelings shift these friends into lovers, or will Ian’s claim on Navy’s heart ruin her friendship with Zander for good?

(3.5⭐️) Not them playing in everybody’s faces for 10yrs knowing they were in love with each other lol. I loved the sweet romance between Zander and Navy when they both finally got out of their own way. Things took a dark and unexpected turn in the middle of the book and I was here for the drama of it all! But I wish we got to actually see Navy’s recovery from that. But the author pretty much told us what happened during this whole book and didn’t show us. I can’t recall if it was like that in the other books. But outside of that like I mentioned it’s a sweet “it was always you” love story. Just like his friends, Zander was super soft and sweet when it came to his “sweet girl” and wasn’t afraid to spend a bag. I loved the friend group and their closeness, though we didn’t see much of their banter and interactions as we did in previous books.

3.5 ⭐️ I’m so glad there wasn’t a 3rd act break up. Zander and Navy were cute together even though they “weren’t together”. The Ian and Ebony angle was “eehh” I could get with Ebony her story with Zander seemed organic. Typical gold digger ish, but it seemed Ian went off the rails with no warning and provocation. Overall the storyline was solid, B.Love writes the heck outta some books

YES!!!!

Navy is better than me because I would have been left. The way Ian was acting was a little too much. Motives were apparent in the prologue do you hear me. I loved Zander and pops for real. They kept everything 100 and Ian should have thought his plan out more. He got what he got for a reason. Good never comes out of pure evil.

NAVY & ZANDER

This was a great series and I loved the friends to lovers concept for Navy and Zander. What better way to find your soulmate than through your bestfriend. I loved how Zander was very attentive to Navy's needs and willing to do anything to keep her safe and happy. There was no denying their attraction to each other, even their inner circle were aware and rooting for them to be together. They were perfect for each other and it showed in their actions. I'm glad they decided to share their feelings and take their friendship to the next level. Beautiful love story and happy ending.

Trials and tribulations

The friends to lovers trope is always a favorite of mine to read and I truly enjoyed this friends to lovers story from beginning to end. Zander and Navy were the best of friends and even though he was in love with her and showed that through his actions, he wasn’t sure she would take him seriously so he never thought he would cross that line. All it took was a heart to heart with her father for him to see that his feelings would be reciprocated if he decided to cross the line of friendship.

Their journey as friends endured some trials and tribulations especially from Ian who’s energy was a red flag to me and a sign of his true nature in how he handled his displeasure over Zander and Navy’s friendship. Once Ian was out the picture and Zander and Navy decided to be together, it was up from there. These two were a perfect match and loved, saw, and appreciated each other. Their chemistry and connection was unmatched and made them one of my favorite couples from this series.

I also enjoyed catching up with this friends to group and seeing the love and support they have for each other and getting an update on each couple and the side couples that were introduced in each book. This group is truly one big happy family.

Friends to Lovers Done Right... With a Side of Chaos. I really enjoyed Zander and Navy's story. I loved watching two people who clearly belonged together finally stop fighting what everyone else could already see.

The drama definitely kept things moving. Ian turned out to be far more dangerous than I expected, and once everything unraveled, it made sense why Navy had been feeling so conflicted. Watching Zander show up for her when everything fell apart only made me like him more. What I appreciated most about this series overall is that B. Love writes romances that are easy to follow without sacrificing entertainment. The conflicts are clear, the characters are easy to root for, and the love stories never get lost beneath unnecessary complexity.

My only small critique is that the ending felt a little rushed. I enjoyed getting updates on all the couples, but it almost felt like we fast forwarded through everyone's happily ever after. I would have loved a little more time to sit with Zander and Navy before jumping into everyone's life updates.

Now Zander was my favorite from jump lol this one was always the wildcard of the 4 and anybody could get it.

He and his sister Twyla's best friend Navy had been inseparable since college. They were each other's person in every way. He took care of her in a way that made any man she dated jealous of their friendship. Zander was always a playboy who only dealt with women who were already involved so he could do the bare minimum. He was so protective of Navy, and she was the same way with him. Their families were bonded and they shared a friend circle as well. What could possibly go wrong when Navy's man told her she had to choose between him and Zander?

Baby this one was probably my favorite of this series. I was legit angry that it took so long for things to come to fruition. Zander is not to be played with and one thing he was gon' do is love and protect Navy.

I loved this one.

I loved this series! I loved each couple, however, Zander and Navy were my favorite best friends and eventually couple. it was how they were "bookies" that allowed their love to manifest throughout the years.
Their genuine friendship and love was unique, non- judgemental, respectful, loyal, honest, and encompassed family & close friends circle.
I appreciated Zander not stepping to Navy as more than her best bookie until he was sure that he was ready for true commitment and admitting that Navy was his person and no other woman did he want. Navy in return, had to come to terms that her ex., Ian was not who held her heart. She'd been in love with Zander forever and he with her. It took them both 10 yrs. to catch up with their hearts in sync.

Enjoyed this friends to lovers story. Hate that this series has come to a close.

Trials & Tribulations 🫰🏾🫰🏾

I love love that’s starts off with friendship first. It’s was something about Zander and Navy being friends first who was apparently in a relationship but not in a relationship (if that makes sense?). Anywho I’m glad Navy got it together and dumped her then boyfriend Ian. I didn’t like Ian because he wasn’t a man that was secure in his own skin nor his relationship with Navy. Ian was intimidated by Zander and it was quite comical. For Ian to think that Navy was going to give up her best/boyfriend, was outrageous and foolish. I’m however sad at how Ian went out in the end, I guess he didn’t bank on Navy fighting back. I’m glad that all the men and women in all 4 books got their happy ever afters.

Zander and Navy, Our Journey to Love

That ending was beautiful!!!…This was a great way to end a series and I enjoyed the journey of getting there!!!…
All the ladies got the beautiful families they wanted and Zander got to be the teacher he wanted to be!!!…
I feel like I missed so much about Tyler, but I’m glad he got his happily ever after too!!!…
Zander made sure he let Navy know he was stepping hard about her and was not putting any distance btwn them for no one but her husband!!!…
Unfortunately, Ian didn’t handle that very well, but I was so happy that Navy was able to protect herself and make it out!!!…
To have a friendship that last over the years and be the foundation to your love story was beautiful!!!…

Zander and Navy!!

Best friends Zander and Navy have been friends since their college days but never crossed the line. Zander and Navy loved one another, and I loved how they showed that love. There was nothing that they wouldn't do for the other. I was glad when they finally decided to admit their true feelings for each other. Their being friends first only heighten the deep and abiding love that they shared. I couldn't stand Navy's boyfriend, Ian, because of his insecure and controlling behavior. I was happy for him when karma came for him. I was looking forward to Zander's book, and I was not dissatisfied with this friends to lovers book at all. B did an absolute fabulous job with this whole series. I hated to see it end.

Finally‼️ Although I’ve read the other companion books in this MPWG series, B4 Navy & Zander, were undoubtedly my favorite couple, a plausible relationship transition & a mutual reciprocal love journey. …Thereafter, I appreciated mostly neither Navy nor Zander imposed their personal desires onto each other. He adored her & she respected him. Subsequently, their romantic relationship evolved & matured rather than a forced proximity & or a presumptive ultimatum. Meanwhile, I’m shocked (too) by this book & character assessment. Because I actually enjoyed, related with a BLP book (in general) & it’s characters 🤭🤷🏾‍♀️‼️… Nonetheless, ”Trial & Tribulations (MPWG Law Firm) - Book 4” was a complex story yet still a great read. 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽👏🏼💐‼️

AWWWW Zander 💖🔥🔥🔥

“If you love something, let it go. If it returns, love it forever.”

This quote came to mind when Zander decided to distance himself from his best friend so she could have the life she wanted.

Zander, the wild card of the law firm, had a huge heart when it came to loving unselfishly. His love for Navy was evident to everyone but him. Navy’s devotion to him was equally evident. It took an eternity for either of them to admit what was happening, even amidst the challenges they faced.

This book was the perfect ending to a wonderful series. Thank you for the detailed epilogue; it was perfect. 😍

More than friends!

I loved the security and love provided by Zander to all he held close and loved especially his bff Navy. Navy is such a sweetheart she holds her friendships close especially with Zander. He cares deeply for her but doesn’t try to show it. They both get caught up in a tangled web with some crazy outside forces but it only forces them to face the inevitable regarding their feelings. They eventually begin protecting one another, being as well as providing what they need and desire! Once they let go of the what ifs, happily ever after for one another with one another doesn’t seem so far fetched.

'Trials & Tribulations' by B. Love

My Review:

'Trials and Tribulations' emerged as my preferred series within this group. I found the relationship between Navy and Zander particularly compelling, as the author skillfully developed their connection from friendship to romance, culminating in a satisfying conclusion. This series resonated with me more than the others. I encourage readers to explore it and discover the reasons for my enthusiasm.

Trials and Tribulations is ✨️✨️✨️

Not taking Navy's phone and yelljng Ian what it was. Sonething was off to a certain point with Ian. Navy's Dad was a Champ. No sugar coating but definitely support. Love the vibe of the families.. The brothas always had a bond. Navy did that. For a split second I was Oh God....Is she going to make it?!?! But like a Champ you make a decision. Ian and his cousin trash.... I would have aired all his dirty secrets that his family covered up👀..B.Love as usual you did that for me✨️✨️Loved Loved it!! I'm a fan of the series✨️✨️❤️❤️

I love how their friendship was always rooted in real love. Zander and Navy were best friends who did everything together but never took it to the next level. Once her boyfriend Ian got jealous of their bond, he did everything he could to keep them apart.

But once he was out of the picture and after Zander had already confessed how he felt, they finally became a couple and made it work.

The ending was perfect. The ten‑years‑later update showing where everyone ended up was such a sweet touch. Everyone married with kids and still coming together as friends do once they become family.

All Done

I loved the story line but felt the booked was rushed. The book could have gone a few more chapters making a connection with marriage and kids instead of a summary at the end.

As I continued to read it felt like the plot was intensifying but it fizzled out and I was now reading the Epilogue to wrap it all up.

I loved the characters and their development. The black love story and love of the black family. This book unlike books 1-3 had me wanting more from the story to feel complete. All and all, I really enjoyed reading the series.

DNF. I’m convinced this book was rage bait! I got about 45% through before I had to give up. These two GROWN people couldn’t admit they had feelings for each other. All the while dragging people’s feelings along! I’m sure at some point this author concocted something that made Ian the bad guy but let’s be clear in a normal relationship kissing your best friend and spending the majority of your time with them, sitting on their lap feeding them would still be inaDAMNppropriate!

loved this series down

While I know each MPWG is standalone, this series was chefs kiss. It’s refreshing to see women cared for and loved properly. I was elated once Zander and Navy finally relished in their true feelings. I thought they were gonna make Ebony disappear with the way she was acting and Ian got what he deserved… argue with ya mammy.. idc. All in all you won’t be disappointed. GO READ IT!

Love this series!

I absolutely love a friends to lovers book, but Navy and Zander took forever to get there. In this well written book, we went on a ride with these two as she went through guys who hated her friendship with him and him running through women without making any commitments. I loved the family cohesiveness and the solid friendships that were displayed in this book. It flowed well and kept my attention.

friends to lovers

Zander and Navy ignoring that they were in love was crazy. It was so clear!

I liked that this book had some drama that made sense. I also appreciated the growth that came out of the drama.

Zander and Navy were made for each other and I was happy to see things worked out as they hoped it would. I also liked getting updates at the end about the other couples.

Overall this was a cute friend’s to lovers story.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Perfect Ending — Trials and Tribulations

Trials and Tribulations is an amazing finale to this 4-book series. OMG, I absolutely loved how everything came full circle and was brought to a satisfying close. The character arcs, the emotions, and the way the storyline wrapped up made this the perfect ending. It gave exactly what a final book should—closure, depth, and fulfillment. This series is truly a must-read, and this finale sealed it beautifully!

Sad to see it end

The respect for these four good men is high. Not only did they stand on business within their business they stood in it within their relationships. Zander had some strong willpower to not go after his girl in the beginning although him being ready or not wasn’t really a good argument. It all worked out in the end. Navy sweet loving self having to protect herself was tragic but that girl held her own.

This friends to lovers was one that I appreciate so much because they didn't have a whole lot of back and forth about their feelings 😂 it was like one day, they had a moment or a convo where it all clicked for them. Ian was absolute trash, and so was ebony. They got what was deserved (s/o to Venus and Twy for holding it down👊🏽). Zander and Navy were soulmates fr fr and honestly had a great foundation. There was nobody better than one another with them!

Yeah, another banging good book

Okay, I was expecting this story to be about a few trials and some tribulations, but B, cut us some slack here and there. Book 4 was a quick read. I wish the main characters had gotten together sooner, but, oh well. They weren't fooling anyone. I'm not going to complain about a thing.

Wow, this took a few turns that I did not expect!!! None that seemed unrealistic. It was a nice slow build to a beautiful relationship. I loved the family engagement and friendship. The parents dropped alot of knowledge on how to love properly.

This is a perfect friends to lovers read!!

I'd like to see more of them. The finale seemed to be a closure.

Zander and Navy went through some things to get their happy ending, and was glad they were able to recognize and act on their feelings for each other. Ian was beyond insecure and would’ve definitely made Navy’s life worse. Ebony was annoying but spoke up when needed about Ian and his behavior. Loved the final update on the crew.

Will He Finally Settle Down

Zander and Navy were the closest friends, but were they destined for more. Navy was that person in Zander's life that he cherished and vice versa. But Ian was her boyfriend and Zander didn't want commitment. Will that change for them or not? Totally, enjoyed reading their story.

Great read

I enjoyed this. Zander and Navy were so made for each other and I'm so glad that friend thing went out the window because they both knew in their hearts they were always meant to be. It was great to read about all the updates with all the couples because they all deserve all the happiness. They way the men loved their women was so beautiful.
