Devour is a full-length action/revenge MM romance with grumpy/sunshine, hurt/comfort, and found family vibes. This book does touch on dark, heavy themes, so please check trigger warnings.

Dante

My dream of becoming a principal dancer was shattered the night I witnessed my father’s murder.

Now, nothing will stop me from exacting revenge on the masked figures responsible.

Not even some cocky silver-haired COO of a private military company who thinks he knows what’s best for me.

He makes my blood heat in the worst way possible with his superficial charm and distracting looks.

He makes me crave what I can’t allow myself to have.

He’s convinced he can win me over, but if he doesn’t quit stalking me and stealing my kills, he’s gonna end up with my butterfly knife buried in his stupid mercenary heart.

Rev

My pretty hunter thinks he’s a killer.

But he’s not predisposed to spilling blood like me.

Sure, he’s prickly, stabby, and skilled in self-defense.

However, I see right through to the sensitive, vulnerable side he tries to hide.

He may not believe he needs me to be his grim reaper, but permission isn’t something I’m asking for. I won’t hesitate to cut down anyone who threatens him, no matter the size of their operation or the severity of their threats.

Baby boy can pretend to hate me all he wants.

It doesn’t change the fact that he’s mine.

Devour is book two in the Sinro Enterprises series. This MM dark romance story is about Rev and Dante.

I loved Rev’s character in book one, so I was incredibly excited to read his story. Rev did not disappoint, and my love for him continued to grow the more we got to know him. I also loved getting more of Cain and Ezra, as well as the other side characters.

Although the plot and the backstories were interesting, what prevented me from really enjoying this story was Dante’s character. I typically like the sassy/bratty type, but I was not a fan of Dante. I really didn’t care for the way he treated Rev, and I got so frustrated when Dante kept pushing Rev away, especially at the end of the book. Rev was so patient with Dante and after everything he did for him, I thought Rev deserved better.

With that being said, there were so many other characters that I did love, so I am interested to see what will come next in this series.

Honestly, this could have been better. It was solid enough, and honestly I don't think I disliked Dante as much as others in other reviews seemed to. For the most part, I understood where he was coming from, and that fact that this starts with it having only been 7 months since he and his brother, Laz, lost their father. That's barely any time at all to truly grieve.

Rev was interesting enough, and I did like his possessiveness and willingness to do anything to protect Dante. I'm always a sucker for that dynamic, and their sex - when we got it - was fairly got and well done - although there could have been more of it and more intense heat and smut, in my honest opinion.

So while I liked this and enjoyed it, I think the problem was that while I understood Dante and everything he'd been through, it didn't make the constant back and forth, the push and pull from him any less frustrating.

It takes him until about halfway through to even give into any physical with Rev. It takes a long time time for that and it gets frustrating after a bit of waiting and waiting for him to kind of start to let his walls down and slowly let Rev in. It's like there's stubborn, scared of commitment characters who don't want to lose anyone and then there's Dante. He just would not bend for the longest time and that gets tiring after awhile. It starts to become the same thing from him over and over, and Rev constantly having to take Dante's verbal aggression.

I think while I didn't dislike Dante as much as others, he did start to really annoy me when he'd constantly push Rev away and then get jealous or miss him and want him close, but also want him gone at the same time. It started to feel like he wanted to have his cake and eat it too. Like okay, you're not ready for more, you're trying to push him away out of fear - that's fine, but you don't get to act jealous or annoyed if Rev actually does what you ask or interacts with another man. Like that was just so hypocritical.

Also I don't know if I'm a fan of characters who are shitty to people and go "It's like I can't help it. I know I'm horrible and I can't stop it" like...well actually you very much have free will and control over your own actions, and are capable of apologizing. I gave Dante a bit more a reprieve than, say, Baby from the third boys of apartment 13 book, because he was still dealing with fairly fresh grief. But still, I didn't really buy him thinking to himself that he didn't know why he would say these things and why he couldn't get himself to apologize. At the very least, he should have apologized, especially to Rev and his brother, Laz.

He even has a thought near the end that he's been a bad brother and friend and it's like....well, yeah? I'm sure he improved off page in way we didn't get to see - which would have been nice to see?

So yeah, I don't think Dante was nearly as nasty as Baby - they were very similar, though - and his anger used as a wall and a way to process his grief made more sense than how Baby was (who had 4 years since his trauma to have worked on himself and just didn't) but still, Dante takes a long ass time to get his head out of his ass, and that gets frustrating to deal with it, no matter how much I understand what he's been through.

The plot was interesting enough - although Dante with his unwillingness to take protection from the literal cartel (or a subset of it, or members of an old subset of it, whichever they were) was a bit much. Like he can be stubborn but does he have to be stupid in his stubbornness? - not that he says no to all protection, he doesn't, but he could have accepted even more (like staying in the big penthouse full of mercenaries) and that he didn't was a tad ridiculous - and it obviously wasn't fully resolved as I'm sure it'll bleed into Laz's book, as he was in the thick of things.

So this was pretty solid and when Dante starts to give into his obvious attraction and feelings for Rev, it was nice (although he was still a bit up and down until basically the end) and their sex scenes that we got were hot enough. It just could have done even more with them, in my opinion. There just wasn't that wow factor I was hoping for.

We have a few couples set up for more, though, I am looking forward to those couples, so I eagerly away those stories.

Until then ❤️

Hmmm. Unsure how to rate this one. I would say 3.5 stars. I was hoping I would like this one as much as the first one but I didn’t. I think because a lot of the things I hate in romance books were in this one and not in the first one.

Like for instance both of these guys leaned toward the manwhore side. Especially Rev. It was mentioned a little before but in this book we were reminded of it several times and I hated that. There were no manwhores in the first one. Another thing is Dantes job. I wouldn’t say stripper but close to it. It was made even worse by the fact that he has a best friend at work and they hooked up. And the guy is still his bff and was around for the whole book and will most likely get his own book. I really hate when authors do that, like why? It added nothing to the book for them to have hooked up in the past. Also around 38% Dante decides he’s going to set up a hookup with some guy even though he clearly wants Rev. He even said it felt like a betrayal but he did it anyway. Nothing happened but that’s basically because Rev showed up.

I absolutely loved Rev as I did with the first book. He’s just such a great character and so likable. He’s so obsessed with Dante and will literally do anything for him. I do wish we could have learned a little more about him. Like his age. And also he has silver hair but Dante was unsure if he died it or it’s because he’s going gray and we never find out either.

I think what ultimately made me not like this book so much was Dante. He was so damn prickly for damn near the entire book. We only got a few glimpses of his soft side. I feel like he pushed Rev away way too much and then there was a kind of third act break up where nothing even happens to warrant it but Dante ignores Rev for three weeks for no reason. And then Rev takes him back so easily. I just felt like Rev deserved better. He literally treated Dante like a king. I get he was scared to fall in love and lose another person but his character was hard to like sometimes. His brother Laz was such a good brother and he treated him like shit. I was hoping for an apology from Dante or maybe even a discussion about why he’s been such a little shit to him but there was none.

I loved seeing the secondary characters. I really hope we get Alaric and Rodrick next. I’m soo interested in their book. I’m nervous the author is going to make one of them a MMM book though which I would be so bummed about because I want to read one about every single side character and I wouldn’t read that. I really hope Laz gets his own book too!!

This was really nice, I actually think I liked it even more than the first one🙃
Something about it flowed better and made more sense overall I think.
That said, Dante did test my patience a bit, and I see that I’m not alone with this feeling 😅
I love me some bratty bottom and I understood his trauma and grief, but his pushing Rev away didn’t really feel fully justified to me. I seriously wanted to shake him a little several times, especially in the end!!!
Rev, on the other hand was just perfect 😻

I also really enjoyed the overall vibe of the book. The plot wasn’t overly complicated, but it kept my attention the whole time. The mercenaries, the banter, the group dynamics, it all felt fun and engaging.
Seeing more of Cain and Ezra was a highlight too ☺️

This was a good follow up to book one. I liked this a lot more than book one. The characters had a lot more depth. I liked that we got to see more of Ezra from book one, but Dante and Rev were the fave couple for me so far. I enjoyed Dante’s and his brother’s back story. He’s such a brat and Rev is the solid guy who just loves his brat. I look forward to seeing what’s next in this series. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Dante is on-track to become a successful professional dancer when his life is turned upside down by an organized crime group murdering his father. Determined for revenge, Dante sets out to try and track down his father‘s murderer, but he doesn’t have a violent bone in his body. Luckily for Dante, the COO of a certain military company absolutely has many violent bones in his body. Rev is instantly enamoured with Dante, and is willing to do whatever it takes to help him get his revenge.

This book has:
-bad*ss mercenary x vengeful dancer
-insta-attraction with one being all in immediately, and one being resistant but bratty about it
-the perfect balance of plot, character building, romance and action
-revenge side plot with high tension romance main plot

Abigail Glenn does it again! I really loved the characters and story from book one, and this book was even better executed in my opinion! Though I definitely love the characters and equal amount as the characters from book one, I felt that this book did an excellent job, keeping a flowing and interesting plot throughout the entire book.

One thing that I really like about this book is that none of the tropes are really anything special, like, I’ve probably read 100 books that have similar themes. However, the execution of the story was really well done. The banter was good, the characters were developed enough, the plot wasn’t super complicated, but it still held my interest, the side characters were good, and of course, the romance was steamy and full of tension, despite it being kind of an insta-love situation.

I feel like the author really took time and effort to make sure that this book was a very high-quality before publishing it. And I really respect that. I really like the series and I’m very excited to read more. ❤️

Beta Read Review:

I’ve loved every single one of Abby’s books, but Devour? Yeah… it just claimed first place and refused to give it back. The writing was addictive—sharp tension, laugh-out-loud moments, emotional gut punches, and just enough ache to hurt so good. Rev and Dante’s growth was chef’s kiss, watching them unravel and find exactly what they needed had me fully invested.

Seeing familiar faces again felt like slipping back into a world I never wanted to leave. And if you haven’t read Ignite yet, what are you even doing? Go. Read it. Immediately.

I already know this is one of those rereads that’s going to hit just as hard the second time. 😏🔥

Ohhh my God. Oh my God. OH my GOOOOOOOOD (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )づ♡

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this ARC, I am so incredibly happy and honored to own a copy of this book. I absolutely devoured (ha, pun unintended) Abigail Glenn's other book, Drag Me Down, and this book was no different. I honestly don't know if I can even write a review because I am so overwhelmed with love for these characters and the found family and the romance, but I shall do my best.

My favorite thing about this work, and this was something I found in Drag Me Down as well, is that it's an actual romance with devotion and yearning and obsession. I don't want to read a romance where characters seem borderline indifferent to their love interests, and that is definitely not Hail or Rev. Like, at all ( ≧ᗜ≦) I LOVED Rev's obsession with Dante, his possessiveness was so hilarious, and it's so easy to mess up a "brat" character but ohhh my God, Dante deserves the world, I loved him so much, he cracked me up as well (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

Dante's relationship with Laz and his father was sooo precious and had me tearing up with every single mention, I loved Dante's connection to Sinro, I just loved everything and everyone. The one, single reason this book isn't 5 stars, and I know it's so stupid, but I have a personal pet peeve about the already-insecure character feeling jealous. Once or maybe twice would've been fine, but it felt like in almost every Dante chapter, he was getting jealous because of Rev's friendships or imagined scenarios. I LOVED Rev jealous, made my day every single time, but Dante is already insecure and worries he's not worth the effort, and it's so heartbreaking, and I don't like that he felt jealous that often in the book. My sweetie didn't need that on top of everything else going on in his head! ( ≧ᗜ≦)

That's such a personal nitpick, I know, but it in no way makes the overall book less wonderful or emotional or romantic or funny or SO beautifully-written. I had such a good time, even when it made me sob, and I just... UGH, I can't wait for the physical book to come out so I can buy that like I did with Drag Me Down and annotate it with all the hearts and glitter pens it deserves ( ˶˘ ³˘)♡

Rev was definitely my favorite side character in Ignite and I knew that his book would be my favorite. This book was absolutely amazing. Rev is immediately obsessed with Dante and wants to do everything he can to protect him. My heart hurt for Dante, he was dealing with an unspeakable situation. I absolutely loved their banter and the sassy brat that came out to play.

Ezra and Dante’s friendship was so good. I loved seeing the two of them interact. The found family vibes are immaculate and I cannot wait for the next book!

I gotta give points to this title of the book - I literally devoured it in one day! 😂 I liked the story, but the characters stole the spotlight. I loved Rev and Dante's chemistry, fighting as foreplay is always hot in my book 😈 And the sex scenes? Always a plus. Almost forgot, Rev is a big fan of smut books - instant points to him 😍
The side characters were amazing too, and it got me excited for more books in this universe. I mean - Alaric and Rorik, when are they going to get their book? The chemistry/tension between them.. so intriguing 🤩

As much as I want to give this higher rating, I am so sorry, but it’s absolutely impossible. What spoiled a perfectly action packed story, was the mc Dante. I’ve read sassy and bratty, but Dante brings all of them to shame. He is, I am sorry to say this insufferable. Let’s back down a little. Something tragic happens in Dante’s life and he is on the revenge path. He by himself would bring down a syndicate to get his revenge. He never ever hurt anyone, but that doesn’t stop him. Never fired a gun. I admire that. Determination is key. When chance or fate brings Rev in his life he does everything to push that man away. I lost count on the times Rev said “Communicate”. Did he?! Nope. I would blame this all on his trauma, till the epilogue. That sealed my opinion for the guy. Insufferable, absolutely selfish. I think this is the first time I have actively hated a MC. 2.5 ⭐️ ruined by the mc.

You guys, this one hit JUST right. I'm a sucker for a really good bodyguard romance, and this had everything I needed from it. The hurt/comfort, codependency, "I would kill for you", size difference... all the things. I loved how Rev could just take everything Dante had to give in his grief and anger. I can't wait for more from this world, and the couples Abigail seems to have set up...

Still 5 stars for Rev, just like the last book. Delighted to see Ezra again and even Cain. Loved the side characters, especially Laz & Forrest. I enjoyed the plot, the backstories. It should be 5 stars, really. But.

I thought Dante was insufferable. I really tried to like him, I love a sassy brat with trauma and he had that aplenty. As a whole, he's a good character. But he was so infuriating that I skimmed some of his chapters.

This book was amazing! It was so fluent and gripping that I couldn’t put it down. The pages just flew by. And I can clearly say this: I fell in love with Rev’s character 🖤🔥 I think I have a new obsession now!
Rev’s obsessive yet never-giving-up kind of love… The way he claimed, the determination, the fact that he never backed down when it came to Dante was written so well that I grew more attached in every single scene. Even when Dante said “I hate you,” the way his eyes practically screamed “love me and pin me against the wall”… Ouuuwww!
The attitude Dante took after everything he went through, his tough stance and the way he stood firmly behind it… That was one of the strongest aspects of the story. The stubborn, back-and-forth progression of their relationship, the tension in their sharp dialogues… Everything was perfectly placed. The chemistry between them was blazing. The smut scenes were insanely good 🔥🥵 We were burning!
I already have a weakness for feminization and lingerie kink, so having those elements in the book pulled me even deeper into the story. But the beauty of the book wasn’t just about this duo. The side characters also brought real liveliness to the story. That found family feeling, that sense of belonging… It made everything more meaningful and powerful.
In short; if you’re looking for obsession, possessiveness, irresistible tension, and fiery scenes, this book is a perfect hit. 😈📖

Dante is on a warpath , he wants to kill his father’s murderers.
Dante is angry, lonely, and grieving. On this path, he meets Rev.

Rev, and the company he works for, has its eyes on the same target as Dante. He’s instantly obsessed with Dante, and he wants to protect him at any cost.

Dante is feisty, and Rev loves it. The angrier and more dismissive Dante gets, the more possessive Rev becomes. He even moves next door to where Dante lives, to protect him. Because the ones Dante wants to kill want to kill Dante in return. And Dante is not really a killer like Rev.

“No more of this carelessness, Dante. Let me be your grim reaper.”

Fighting off Rev is getting more difficult, the man is too attractive and too protective.
But losing the ones he loves makes it harder for him to give in to love.

It’s an emotional rough tough story. It’s full of action and pining. The way feisty Dante and psychopath Rev are drawn to each other was so delightful to watch!
Overall an awesome story, smoothly written. I loved the main character but also the secondary characters! I didn’t read the first book in this series, but I bought it right away.

The whole “push him away but secretly get pissed when he actually goes away” trope is one of my favorites! Dante is PRICKLY (maybe a little TOO prickly for how good Rev is to him) but Rev is an adorable unhinged mercenary and he just keeps coming. This is a romance, but there is also a relationship between brothers that needs healing and a sinister plot line. Love that Dante is Colombian and the sprinkling of his heritage in the story. Really my only complaint is *spoilers* the random three weeks that Dante chooses to push Rev away and ignore him (AT THE VERY END - literally at 89%!) for no good reason. That bugged me but luckily it didn’t last long!

Side note: I love that Rev reads spicy MM romantasy 😂

Now I’m going back to read book 1, because I loved Cain and Ezra in this and need their story!

Side note no 2: I would NOT mind a spicy little dynamic between Cain & Ezra and Rev & Dante…just throwing that out there 👀

This was such a fun time!! Rev and Dante were everything! I loved Rev and his unhinged, psychopathic tendencies, and Dante... sweet, sweet broken Dante. his sass was my favorite part. He fought his feelings for Rev so hard. Can we talk about how accepting Rev was?! We all could use a Rev in our lives, just accepting our rage and not judging us for it! The story line was good and I loved how we got more of the side characters in this one. Makes me want to beg Abigail for their books and ASAP! My only complaint, which is mild, is I could have gone for more of the SIXX plot. But overall I loved this book, one of my favorite reads of the year so far!

After reading the first book, Rev had all of my attention, so I patiently waited for his story and I was not disappointed! It was amazing!!

This book had a little bit of everything: action, revenge, obsession, a few moments of humor, the best found family, and a LOT of hurt/comfort and despite this story being on the dark side, with all the violence and blood, it was also very sweet and tender.

Dante fought his demons with sass and anger, but Rev never tried to change him (and he called him kitten!!!). From the very beginning, Rev was his greatest supporter, and at some point, the two became each other's little lights in the darkness.

I absolutely loved the character and emotional development in this book, the pace was perfect, making the whole relationship and story feel even more real.

It was also amazing to see the characters from the first book again. Ezra is still the biggest sweetheart 🩶 (and still lethal!).

First, I will say I did not like this one as much as Ignite. Ezra is such a great character, and Dante, well, is not.
I am glad that Ezra is in this book because he is SO delicious.
Rev was a great character in Ignite, so I am happy he got his own book with an HEA.
He saves Dante again and again.
Christian was a twist.
I really like the Sinro building. It's like its own little city.
I hope Forest gets a book next.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. A new-to-me author, it delivered on the premise, not as dark as I would like but still gave me a morally grey, obsessive MC. I count that as a win. There's romance, there's action, there's some push-pull. There's Rev.

Devour indeed! I devoured this book. This was one of my highly anticipated reads, and it did not disappoint. This was sexy, fun, emotional, and full of revenge. Dante and Rev's relationship was divine. Every interaction, from the banter to the spice, was written to perfection. The storyline was fantastic, with nothing feeling rushed or unnecessary. I loved all the characters, and i especially loved being reunited with our favourite characters from Ignite. Abigail’s writing pulls you in and keeps you captivated until the very end.

Oh my goodness! The grump on my baby boy Dante! I just love him and all his flaws so much and guess who also loves him? Rev! I loved Dante’s inner monologue, he’s in so much turmoil over what he actually wants to do and thanks to Rev for helping him make his decisions. Their dynamic was so cute and I honestly wished there was more to this book. Ezra really pulled through on this one and I love how all the mercenaries banter with each other. And is that two possible couples that I see being brought up a few times? I honestly cannot get enough of this series!

•Dark MM romance
•Mercenary x dancer
•Touch him and unalive
•Angry/sunshine
•”Baby boy”
•Toxic obsession
•Age gap
•Revenge plot
•Hurt/comfort
•Praise & lace kink

Love the series and author. I hated Dante. Loved Rev and the supporting cast. I know Dante has been through a lot and I typically enjoy a brat. However he was so annoying and unbelievable. He can’t defend himself but continues to do things like making noise during the situation with his dad, being a part of the investigation and pulling the gun during the fight even though he hated guns etc. I just wanted for him to have gone through so much show some actual growth and not be such a nuisance who also has the audacity to feel sorry for himself. He just was very very immature and not on any way endearing to me.

I did like it. But honestly I wanted more from it. I felt so wishy washy about Dante. I get everything he was going through it just started to bug me the way he was the longer I read. I just don’t think he was my cup of tea. Rev on the other hand is the epitome of I get what I want. I think that might be the reason I started to not like Dante. To much pushing away not enough pulling in. I do like the authors writing I just enjoyed the first book a lot more.

First let me start by saying I really enjoyed reading or rather listening to Ignite which is the first book in this series. Loved it more than I thought I would, even though it is definitely filled with tropes I love, but it was a book I started on a whim when I wasn't in the mood for that type of story but couldn't figure out what I was in the mood for.... Ah the dilemma of a mood reader... However I was hooked. I listened to it at least 3 times so that should tell you how much I loved it.

Now that me gushing about the first book is out of the way let me say this. I loved the second book even more. I was just locked in completely. I would even ignore my work to read more. I didn't want to put this book down. I am so glad we get to see glimpses of our boys from the first book cause I loved Cain and Ezra, but ever since Rev came into my life I couldn't wait to get his story.

This was such a gripping story with loads of action. Dante has gone through a lot with losing his mom and watching his father die. He is prepared for revenge but he is not prepared for Rev.

"He swallows, eyes roving over me with deeper interest. “Who the fuck are you?” “Your guardian angel, or the devil, here to drag you to hell. I’ll let you decide.”

Dante does everything in his power throughout the first half of the book to push Rev away. He doesn't let himself really get close to people and even though he could see himself maybe falling for Rev, he fights it every step of the way because he is so afraid to lose anyone else.

Dante honestly breaks my heart. I shed quite a few tears over this book. Dante doesn't know how to take affection from others well and it kills me that he is so afraid of getting close to anyone that he is isolated himself and is so lonely.

"Dante may be prickly on the outside, but it’s how he protects himself. How he keeps this terrible world from crushing him."

Rev is beautifully unhinged and I love it, and he is so obsessed with Dante. His book choices are perfection and that is all I am gonna say about that. Their relationship is my favorite one beating Ezra and Cain which I didn't think would happen. They are just so fun together and even in Ezra's brattiest moments, the dynamic is perfection.

This book had me gripped within its pages from the beginning and wouldn't let me go til the end. I loved the ending Hoping that this series continues on and on because I am not quite ready to leave these characters.

Grateful to have been given this book as an ARC in order to give my honest opinion

The Mercenary and his Murder Kitten was an interesting story to read. I'm not going to lie, it took me a bit to get into this book. The story started off a bit.. clunky to me. However, the more I kept reading the more things evened out, and certain events/behaviors started making sense.

Dante, also knows as Murder Kitten, lives with his brother after losing both of their parents to vicious attacks on them. Dante used to be a dancer but now all he wants is revenge, going after the people who killed his dad gives him purpose, but when he runs into Rev he realizes that maybe revenge isn't the only thing that can bring him back to life.

Rev is a mercenary who has formed his own found family with the men and women he works alongside in his dangerous and brutal job. He never thought he'd ever be interested in someone to the degree that he's interested in Dante, but something about there's something about the Murder Kitten he just can't let go of. Which leads him to stalk his new prey, and that is when their story begins.

Once I was able to fully invest in the story, I found it to be a good book with interesting characters. I do think the side characters ended up catching my attention more so than the MC's but that's just because the side characters have such vibrant personalities that I was wanted to learn more about them. I do think Dante and Rev's relationship developed in a way that was natural to them, perhaps not in the healthiest way, but they didn't really care about that. My only complaint with their relationship is the fact that it was very focused on steamy times, even before they were together intimately, they were always talking about it. Which I know a lot of people will enjoy and like about them, I just have never been a fan of things heavily focused on steamy moments.

Having said that, I hope this world continues as I would LOVE to read a story about Forrest, and about Alaric as well. I think those two have Soo much to tell and I'd love to read about who they each end up with.

~~ I received an early copy of this book and these are my honest thoughts and opinions.~~

3.5 ⭐. I really enjoyed this book, but I enjoyed book 1 so much more. Book 1 was 5⭐ and I thought this one would be too but Dante really annoyed me. Like I related to him at the start because of his insecurities and fear of being hurt. But Dante took it way to far in this book. He was rude to so many people for no reason at all and he was just incredibly selfish. I never understood why anybody in this book cared about him because all he thought about was himself. It took him until the end of the book to realize that his brother was also struggling with the death of their father... He's like "I never once thought he was hurting too." Why TF wouldn't your brother be hurting??? It's his dad too!!

Honestly I believe Rev deserved much better. Especially after they killed the man who killed Dante's father and then Dante ghosts him for almost a month! He broke Revs heart for no reason at all. Plus he was just an ass to forest at the start to for no reason. If I take somebody home and they slam my car door and don't say thank you I will personally get out and smack tf out of them. I understand Dante is hurting, but he's selfish. All he did was hurt everybody around him and then he continued to get rewarded for it. I think Laz and Rev would have been cuter tbh because Laz wasn't such a dick.

Dante did grow on me, but let's be real if Dante was a woman all these reviews on this book would be negative. She would be called an insufferable fmc. I hate how men can be insufferable but women can't be. Dante was insufferable.

Rev and the entire cast of characters saved this book for me. Especially Ezra. I loved Ezra so much in book 1.

Overall I enjoy this authors writing style and I love this series. I can't wait for books 3 and 4 and I hope the MMC isn't as insufferable in the next books.
