December 7, 2025I was hired as an editor for this book, so I don't think it would be fair of me to write a full review or even give a rating, but I did want to give the book a little shoutout on here:
Go pick this up if you have an interest in listening to the authentic voice of an Ethiopian author, as this book was originally written in Amharic and later translated to English, all while trying to stay as truthful to the original text and its linguistic features as possible.
This book tells the stories of all kinds of different couples living in the same neighbourhood. Through all their separate stories, the book tries to send a message and portray an overlaying truth about love, faithfulness, sex, and marriage that encompasses them all.
