I LOVED this book. It was like drowning in another world. I love how everything is detailed and explained. Something most books lack. It really pays attention to a person's mental health and insecurities and brings them forward but not as the flaws we think they are. The book is like my own safe space.

To be totally honest… I’m not okay.. I’m not okay at all. First of all, the whole storyline was AMAZING! Second of all I LOVE ECTOR!! Third… bring me to mermaid lake right now!

This book was everything and I finally feel like I’m out of my 2 months long reading slump, it’s crazy! This book was so smooth and cute! I can’t describe how fun it was to read it. I just love it so much. A new favorite!

3,5⭐️ (arc) gillade denna!!

Okay, where do I start?
First of all, I have to say that the book was incredibly good. I love it so much and it was so much fun to read.
Genevieve is a really sweet character and just great.
Ector was also a really interesting character and so incredibly sweet to Genevieve🥹
I love that this book addresses things that many others might doubt, for example that you wish you looked like someone else.
The character information at the end is so indescribably great and the whole structure is so beautiful.
What kind of plot was that at the end?!
I expected everything but that.
The epilogue was also so sweet to read, I can't take it anymore. But I wonder why things turned out like that with Esme and why she decided to do that.

In short, I am so in love with this book and can only recommend it!!!

I think what I loved the most about this book was that you can see bits and pieces of the author through both of the main characters. It was a really easy and fast read. I think it’s a perfect book for someone whose first language isn’t English and is just staring to read books in English. The story is really light-hearted and fun but also digs into mental health and trauma which I thought was really interesting.

This book is such a cute and easy read, it got me out of my reading slump I think it’s a great book for all ages especially younger ones. The ideas of mental health and such being in here would also be great for younger readers in my opinion because it would introduce the idea of people not being perfect. The story is so cute and the characters are very relatable, the descriptions are beautiful. Highly recommended if you love cute simple reads and fairies ;)

A whimsy fairytale dream 🧚🏼‍♀️
The world and characters just felt like they were plucked straight from the most magical fairytale, cute animals, adorable fairy vibes and whimsy cities!!
I thought the story was well thought out and I was excited to see our protagonists grow closer while on their quest to find the well, and I was so happy to see them growing comfortable with each other after both being more closed off towards others.
I think my biggest problem is that I just wanted more, I really wish the story and background and side character moments went into more detail bc it just felt like a lot of things were left unanswered. Some things just happened too fast and with not enough background for my liking but that might just be a personal preference!
If you wanna have a quick read about a quest through a beautiful fairytale land with adorable characters, I think this one’s for you!

i think that we feel specially attached to some characters because we see ourselves in them. i’ll always love to read soft hearted fmcs, but also the ones who are brave and fierce and fight for what they want. genevieve shows you that you can be both. and also that you can feel afraid. and cry. and despite everything don’t give up.
i felt like i was part of the journey, of the story. i absolutely loved ector and genevieve and the bond they build. i also have to remark the beautiful world-building and places, everything very well and magically described. it’s the perfect book for fairy tales lovers, for those who keep believing in magic, fairies and, most of all, love.
also the bonus chapter was MY ENDDDDDD AND I NEED THE SECOND BOOK RIGHT NOW

Yes, I read the first couple of chapters and decided to DNF it because wtf was this shit? The writing is awful with over describing everything and everyone but also somehow making the characters and world dull and flat. Once the word “yapping” popped up, I knew it was doomed. It felt like the author was trying so hard to be like Stephanie Garber with her Once Upon a Broken Heart.

And also, authors shouldn’t be in reviewer space and certainly not so close minded and awfully stereotypical like the “author” of this book is. Just because I’m a guy you think I’m an old grumpy man? Honestly, that says a lot about you than me. Also, try be to be more original with the names of the characters and cities next time maybe ;)

As her friend I’ve read this book a lot of times. The new version is absolutely amazing, it’s more detailed, clean and fresher. Newer and a lot of changes!

This book is for everyone who loves cottagecore and whimsical vibes as well as the Barbie and Tinkerbell movies!

It’s a light fantasy so the worldbuilding is easy to understand, even for someone like me who doesn’t read much fantasy, which I love!

Genevieve really have such a pure heart, she’s loyal and kind to her bone<3 I loved how Genevieve helped Ector be more vulnerable too!

Ector is a ”tough on the outside but soft on the inside” type of person, and we all love those mmc<3 Him being soft for Genevieve was heartwarming and his backstory really broke my heart!

I saw a lot of my self in Genevieve but I could also relate very much to parts of Ector, and if you know me you know that I love when characters are realistic and I can see myself in them!

I loved too that we got to meet new characters along the way, my favorite was definitely Bubble! I loved the sass and drama queen in that little squirrel!! Daffodil and Illysia was lovely too!

The little details in the book was so fun to read, fast fairy mail and the competition was one of my favorites! Some of the quotes really touched my heart too, I don’t know if I’m allowed to share my favorites so you’ll have to read the book to find out hihi!

Thank you Bella for having me as a beta reader, it was a big honor!<3

I can’t wait to continue following Bella’s author journey!<33

Absolutely loved the storyline and I really adored Genevieve, but Ector could use some developing even thought his overprotection was a nice detail. It’s a wonderful book and it would have given 5 stars but the writing was just not it. I think it needs a little bit improving especially with the over describing, but I fully understand that this is first authors fictional novella and knowing that English is not her first language it explains some parts. I’m definitely not hating about the writing I kinda saw my own writing there given that I’m unexperienced writer myself. Overall I think it was a easy and quick read. Definitely recommend for someone who is looking for a palette cleanser.

At first the book didn’t really catch me. It took 150 pages. It was more written like a wattpad story than a book. the book had a lot of info dumping the first 50 pages. I would have preferred receiving the informations through situation, not through the characters thoughts. I enjoyed the end, even though it seemed a little rushed to me.
Some things (especially rooms and the colour of objects) were described a little too much.
Something I really like is that I couldn’t put the book down. I needed to know what will happen in the end. The plot twist was unexpected. Thumps up!
Do with my review whatever you want😊. I won’t give up in you and probably read the next book you will publish too!

So the thing is, I did reslly enjoy the concept and story of this book and it was very fast paced. But the writing I found to be pretty cringy and a little overworked and overdescribing and the characters and romance fell a bit flat for me. But as mentioned the story line is really creative and it had potential, the writing or characters just wasn’t just for me at all, though I can see why some people love it.

I loved this book! Both characters have good character traits, as well as flaws. I think they’re really well written!
Besides, the book focuses more on the plot progression than the romance (though, there still is a romance subplot that slowly but surely begins)!
Finding the right well is all that both Ector and Genevieve have in mind when they leave fairy village, but the longer they spend time together… The closer they get to each other. The more they feel for each other.😏

Considering the fact that this is the author’s first book, I think it was written really well! It’s written in a rather easy English, so if you’re starting out to read English books (and romantasy), this one is great for you! The fantasy terms are easy to understand and the world building is pretty simple as well.
As someone who has never read romantasy before, I surely enjoyed this! And… I might need to read some more. 👀

Bonus Points for the cover because oh my GOD. I’m in love. The whole book is giving Barbie Fairytopia!! 😭💗 Loved it omg

The only thing I can criticise in this book is the fact that the author jumps between different grammatical tenses a lot. It can be a bit confusing in some scenes, but that’s all that I noticed! <3
