ALEXEI

Before I came to St. Lawrence University, I didn't believe in magic.

Now I'm desperate to get my hands on a spell, even at the expense of lying to my friends.

It's not something I'm proud of, but I have my reasons.

Enter the charming, carefree Matteo Baros, who—unfortunately for both of us—becomes suspicious of me.

I expect him to rat me out.

Instead, maybe because he's such a stand-up guy, he offers to help me with a spell.

Not just any spell—a sex spell.

Not really something two straight guys can manage easily, but we find a way, and what should've been a nightmare turns into a feverish night of passion.

But there are consequences for our actions.

The spell ignites a sequence of events neither of us could have anticipated, and as the intensity of this fever between us mounts, we find ourselves caught in a war between rival covens, battling sinister forces from another realm that threaten to wreak havoc upon our world.

While Fever is a fun, steamy, paranormal romance, certain elements may act as triggers for some readers. During the book's preorder period, the complete warning will be available on the author's website. Once the book is live, it will appear on the copyright page of the book. These triggers contain spoilers for the novel.

* Each couple featured in the

Devon McCormack grew up in the Georgia suburbs with his two younger brothers and an older sister. At a very young age, he spun tales the old fashioned way, lying to anyone and everyone he encountered. He claimed he was an orphan. He claimed to be a king from another planet. He claimed to have supernatural powers. He has since harnessed this penchant for tall tales by crafting worlds and characters that allow him to live out whatever fantasy he chooses. Devon is an out and proud queer man living in Atlanta, Georgia.

Devon's body of work ranges from erotica to young adult, so readers should check the synopses of his books before purchasing so that they know what they're getting into.

If I thought Lust was a wild ride, it had NOTHING on Fever! Holy shit.

From the first page this book drew me in, and I didn’t put it down until I was finished.

The action, plot twists, magic, spicy scenes...everything - absolutely perfect.
Devon McCormack knows how to draw you in, and keep you locked in until the very last page.

That epilogue???? CRAZY.
I can't wait to see what comes next.

"There’s something wicked about the way he’s looking at me. Something intriguing that makes me willing to let my guard down. And despite looking at me like he’s up to no good, for the first time since he confronted me, I have a feeling he’s not leading me into a trap. That he’s on my side."

Fever is the second book in the new Saints and Sinners series by Devon McCormack, who is better known for more contemporary/sports romances.

This is an MM paranormal romance/suspense and book 2 is Alexei and Matteo's story.

Better than book one but still suffers from lack of world building.

I’m actually not sure I’d read the next one based off the ending. I’m pretty pissed off about it

Book 2 in the Sinners & Saints series takes you to the next chapter and we follow Matteo and Alexei. I like the way the book picks up right after Lust. The flow is smooth.

In Fever, the men know more about the Rift, their abilities and what's coming.

Seth and Cody, Brad and Luke and a few of the other guys are all around in this book as.well.

Alexei is desperate to find out what happened to his brother, and in the process, Matteo gets pulled in to help him. As a trusted friend, Alexei asks Matteo to help him with a sex spell ( much like Luke and Brad were able to do.) Matteo agrees and the two men find out that the sex necessary for the spell is actually something they enjoy doing together.

As their relationship progresses, more secrets are revealed about the bad things coming from the other side. The entire group is forced to work together to keep everyone safe.

The end is INTENSE and now I'm ready for book 3!!

Fever pulls us right back into Devon McCormack’s world where sorcery, secrets, and slow-burn longing mix together until everything feels deliciously volatile. This time the spotlight is on Alexei and Matteo, whose friendship morphs into something entirely different. Their connection unfolds with an ease I didn’t realize I desperately wanted, especially as they move from casual camaraderie to heartfelt devotion. Nothing about their bi-awakening feels heavy. Instead, it glows with honesty.

There is never a quiet moment. Battles between male covens, sinister spirits, and rituals gone wrong raise the tension constantly. I liked how naturally the pair fits into the Sinners’ world, though I found myself wanting just a bit more build-up before their feelings solidified.

Still, the thrills and twists kept me flying through the pages. I’m already looking forward to the next instalment.

Fever is book two in the Saints and Sinners series by Devon McCormack. Once more, we are invited into a world of intrigue and magic. While this book follows a different couple, the main plot is continued from book one, so I encourage you to start there. This book is part dark romance, part witchy vibes, with a double bi-awakening, acquaintances-to-partners-to-lovers, some hurt/comfort, and lots of steam.

Alexei’s brother went missing, and he’d do anything to find out what happened, including spy on his friend. And when that doesn’t seem to be going his way, he decides to take the reins himself. But when Matteo catches him acting shady, he does what he has to…and lets Matteo come along for the magic.

Matteo has his own demons, so when he spies Alexei acting weird, he knows something is up. Convinced Alexei is in a cult, he demands answers. When he learns the truth, he refuses to let Alexei handle it alone. But the bigger picture is different than either expected. And more dangerous too.

Alexei and Mattei are wonderfully likable. Alexei is aware of his actions and feels guilt over them, but Matteo understands him and his reasoning. Their relationship blooms quickly, but I liked that there was no confusion or phobia there. Both acknowledge the draw to one another easily, and their chemistry is fire. Devon incorporated them into the larger story very well, bringing them into the Sinners’ circle in a way that made sense.

I enjoyed getting more info on the larger world and plot. Seeing the Saints and those players brings more clarity to the overall arc. There were several twists and turns that kept me interested, and I had a hard time putting the book down. The story has drama and danger, mystery and magic. I’m curious where it will go. I enjoyed seeing glimpses of Luke and Brad again. And I am even more invested in reading more about Cody and Seth. Can’t wait until the next book!

This book is an exciting, fast-paced adventure that kept me hooked from the start.
I stayed up all night reading because I just couldn’t put it down.
The two main characters have an unusual but sweet relationship, and the story is full of twists you won’t see coming.
It’s action-packed, mysterious, and constantly keeps you guessing.

I got myself confused (totally my fault for not reading book 1)! But I loved Alexei & Matteo together even though they both thought they were straight. I loved the magic and paranormal aspect of the book and how the book left on a cliffhanger and I can’t for book 3!

Fever by Devon McCormack

Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Rae’s Rating: 💀💀💀💀

This is my honest opinion without being too critical. Of course I recommend everyone to read these books themselves and form their own opinions but for anyone here for Rae's rambles... Here ya go~

The entire concept of this book immediately caught my attention. M/M paranormal romance with sex magic? Yeah okay, say less ✍️ I absolutely inhaled this. Read it in the span of 12 hours because it was so fun! The stakes weren’t too high and I was HERE for a fun spicy time.

Alexei is my baby boy and I will physically fight anyone who tries to hurt him. Forced to spy on his friends, The Sinners, for another group of magic users, The Saints, Alexei is desperate for answers regarding the whereabouts(or fate) of his missing brother. He feels so much guilt for betraying his friends and for sneaking around and spying on them. After the Saints refuse to deliver on their end of the deal, Alexei steals a spell that will allow him to gain the information he seeks for himself.

Enter Matteo. TALK ABOUT A REAL BRO. After he catches Alexei sneaking around all shady-like, he discovers the truth about everything. More than he ever wanted to know. Magic, rituals, spells, the works. And instead of calling Alexei insane or ratting him out to the Saints for stealing, he offers to help him with the spell.

What is this spell? I’m so glad you asked. It’s a sex spell. No other way to phrase it. Alexei has to… "receive" another man in order to strengthen the spell to eventually summon the entity who supposedly has the answers about his brother.

It was supposed to be a simple plan: sleep with Matteo to gain the power to complete the ritual. But things quickly turn complicated. Between newly awakened romantic and sexual attraction to each other, an accidentally summoned demonic entity, and something being definitely not right with the Saints, Alexei and Matteo have no choice but to confess everything to their friends and trust them and their magic to get them out of this mess they’re in.

I loved these characters so much. I am especially soft for Cody and Seth. I love their dynamic, I love their personalities and how completely opposite they were. Their book now please?

But the romance between Matteo and Alexei was so damn sweet. I love the complete trust and respect they had towards each other. I love Matteo making sure Alexei was relaxed and comfortable with everything happening and I loved how protective they got over each other. Their love felt inevitable. Like it was always there and just needed a push to actually happen. The way they flirted and were playful with each other even before they were involved? Yeah that’s soul mate shit. And the spice?! Man. I am a dark romance girlie to my core so I’m surprised how much I loved how soft it was at times. The constantly checking in, the way they were making sure they were both comfortable. Consent 👏is 👏important 👏

The plot was also really engaging. I loved the concept of college boys playing around with magic and, oops, accidentally summoning a malicious demon. It was just the right amount of unsettling and tense. I loved seeing the Sinners powers and how much they cared about each other (*cough* Seth and Cody *cough*) The final confrontation in the Saint’s basement was really cool and Matteo having unique powers of his own had me screaming “YOOOOO” at my kindle. And giving Alexei a role in the conflict despite not having powers of his own? I really appreciated that.

The cliffhanger in the epilogue was CRUEL. I was so happy because things were resolved for the time being and then you just DROP THAT ON ME? My heart was not prepared, I was heartbroken, and then I was pissed because how dare you end it that way?

All in all, I really enjoyed this. It was short, sweet, and packed a punch. I will be (not so)patiently waiting for the next book because I am now invested.

Thank you so much to the insanely talented Devon McCormack and The Author Agency for trusting me with this spicy and magical story ♥️✨

OMG! OH MY! WHAT! OOOOHHH! *SCREAMING*

FEVER starts a few days/weeks after the end of Lust. The main characters in this book are Alexei and Matteo, they are the roommates to Luke and Brad. They don’t really know each other but they start going out because of the relationship of Brad and Luke.
They see each other during frat parties and they find each other cute and sexy (even if they are straight). I loved how they become lovers and the story is really interesting, I loved the spicy scenes, the plot, how the boys will deal with the “problems” in the story. I love Devon McCormack’s writing style is very easy to read and follow the plot, this series is very interesting because all you wanna do is to continue reading because every page you read you will find more answers. It’s a very beautiful series and I can’t wait for book 3 especially after *THAT* ending!!
Absolutely loved! Series recommended!

ARC REVIEW

FEVER (SAINTS AND SINNERS #2)

VOTO: 5 ⭐, 3 🌶️

ATTENZIONE! Questo libro fa parte di una serie. Leggete prima Lust!

Recensione: OH MIO DIO. PO*CA PU**ANA!!! * URLA *

Libro, serie e autore super consigliati!

This is book two in the Saints and Sinners series and I'm already highly obsessed. The book leaves off on a major cliffhanger as the plot from book one continues. This book takes you on a ride of danger, betrayal, suspicion, entities, bi awakenings, love and so much more.

Alexi didn't believe in magic when starting school at St. Lawrence but when he sees inexcusable truth he'll do anything to possibly get some answers to what happened to his brother even if it means spying on his friends. Matteo, Brad's roomate, catches him being shady going through someone's things and confronts him. Alexi has secrets he isn't willing to share but there's something about Matteo that makes him want to purge himself of all the things he's been dealing with alone. And instead of ratting him out Matteo is determined to help him and be there for him if he can't stop Alexi from taking matters into his own hands when he feels he hasn't been given what he's owed for having to spy on his friend and the Sinners. Matteo helping him with the spell Alexi was able to get from the Saints finds them sharing a hot passionate night that two straight men usually wouldn't enjoy. There's something between them and their relationship feels so natural and I loved every second of them being there for each other, supporting each other, listening and accepting each other even with every bad thing from their past or the burdens and trauma they have to live with. They make each other feel at peace. Like they can do anything with the other beside them and that's exactly what they need to hold onto as things turn out to be way more dangerous than either of them could have anticipated. Gosh this book pulled me in from the first sentence and hasn't let me go even now that I've finished the book and let me tell you I am FERAL for book 3! I NEED a Seth and Cody book! Alas I'll have to wait til November but I'll be ready! I can't wait to read more and get to see all the guys again. Such a good book. I definitely recommend you give it a read.

📚✨ ARC REVIEW ✨📚
Fever by Devon McCormack
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 (4.25/5)

Thank you, @devonmccormack and @theauthor.agency, for providing an ARC!

Alexei is desperate for answers. His older brother vanished without a trace, and he’ll do anything to uncover the truth… including spying on his roommate’s circle and turning to magic—specifically s3x magic. When acquaintance Matteo catches on, he offers to help, even though both men believe they’re straight. But once their spell sparks unexpected desire and summons dangerous forces, they’re thrown into a battle between covens and their own awakening hearts.

I didn’t expect such a perfect blend of mystery, heat, and emotion. Alexei and Matteo start off like classic dude bros, so their tenderness toward each other was a genuinely lovely surprise. From Matteo worrying that Alexei might hook up with someone who could hurt him, to their soft, earnest declarations of love, every moment between them hits with real feeling. Their dual bi-awakening happens without any angst between them, which was incredibly refreshing. The drama exists—but they face every bit of it together.

And wow, there is drama. Rival male covens (major The Covenant vibes—MUST watch if you haven’t), the spirit of a serial killer, and full-on exorcisms keep the pacing intense and addictive.

I do wish I’d read book one first, because the coven politics took a little mental untangling, but it didn’t take away from how compelling this installment is. And that cliffhanger… I need book three immediately.

For fans of: 🌈 MM romance | 🔮 Paranormal series | 💫 Double bi-awakening | 🤝 Hurt/comfort | ✨ S*x magic | 🪄 Spell-buddies-to-lovers | 🧙‍♂️ Lovable queer witch coven | 😈 Exorcisms | ⭐ First times | 🔥 Heat & steam

Alexei didn’t believe in magic before coming to St. Lawrence University, but that has changed once he sees things that can’t be explained. What’s more, he needs magic right now if he is going to find answers he is desperately seeking. So he agrees to spy for a group called the Saints to find out what another group, the Sinners, are up to. But months of this, spying on those he would call his friends, and things not adding up, he can’t help but wonder if he is on the wrong side. So when he tries to press for some sort of answers if the Saints will get him answers and comes back with nothing, well it’s time to take matters into his own hands. He just didn’t expect Matteo to be watching him so closely. Or for Matteo to be the one who cares enough to help him. Matteo has noticed something off with Alexei more and more lately and just when he thinks he has figured it out, turns out he is pretty wrong. And what he sees is Alexei needing some help and his protective instincts kick in. He won’t stand by and let Alexei get hurt. Even if it means performing sort of sex spell together to do it. But one night sparks a sequence of events they never saw coming. This bigger than anything and they’ll have to figure out who to trust. Add in the fact that their connection may be way more than friends. Something they never thought could happen with them. So much to unpack in this story! And it leaves us definitely wanting more after that crazy ending. I liked getting to know Matteo and Alexei as they find their way to the Sinners’ group. Things are coming together but we still are left with so many questions! I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is book two in the Saints and Sinners series by Devon McCormack and follows Brad and Luke's story. This story picks up mostly where the previous one ends, not much time passes between the two books. This is not a standalone. You'll understand much better if you've read book one first. This story does answer some of the lingering questions from book 1, but be warned it raises all new questions and ends on a bit of a cliffhanger.

The premise of the book is interesting because it involves magic and demons in a world where magic is a secret. Alexei doesn't know what is going on but he is looking into what happened to his missing brother. If he hadn't seen everything with his own eyes, he wouldn't believe it himself, which is why he tries his best to handle everything on his own. But he is in over his head and gets caught acting suspicious by Matteo. Alexei is Luke's roommate and Brad is Matteo's, so these two are in each other's orbit but not really close, more acquaintances than friends.

The story includes a double bi-awakening, but it's low angst. Neither MC is upset or struggles with the realization that they are attracted to a man for the first time. The evolution of the romance between Alexei and Matteo felt natural. The angst in the story very much comes from the primary plot about what is happening at the school and what the Sinners are involved in. It's all more complex and dangerous than they imagined, but they're in it together and soon brought into the fold with the other Sinners.

The plot is interesting and I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Alexei and Matteo and how supportive they are of each other. The story is full of drama, danger, suspense, and mystery. I am looking forward to seeing what happens with Cody and Seth.

“Come on. It’d be fun. Just doing regular boyfriend things.”
“Boyfriend?” I ask, and his cheeks turn a familiar shade of pink before he nods.
“Yeah, my boyfriend. If that’s what you want.”
I didn’t even know how much I wanted it until he said that. “Well, now that you said it, you can’t take it back. I won’t let you.” --- My favourite as i think it would be with everyone!

🔥 5 Stars – Absolutely Captivated! 🔥
I seriously could not put down Fever. Devon McCormack just threw me headfirst into a world of magic, danger, and the kind of chemistry that practically sizzles off the page. Alexei and Matteo? I was rooting for them from page one. Their connection starts off prickly suspicion and all that but the way it builds into trust and then explodes into that unforgettable night I was holding my breath, flipping pages way too fast because I needed to know what happened next.
The paranormal stuff is blended so smoothly with the romance. The tension between the covens, the dark forces closing in it all just makes their stolen moments feel even more intense. I swear I could feel their hearts pounding with mine. Plus, Alexei’s desperate hunt for his brother had me fully invested, and Matteo's a Absolute heart-stealer. Brave, loyal, and charming as hell.
This isn’t just a romance it’s about magic, self-discovery, and that wild, impossible-to-ignore pull between two people who really shouldn’t fall for each other, but absolutely do. Every twist had me on edge, and the steamy scenes… let’s just say I was a little bit obsessed.
Honestly, I loved every second. Fever didnt feel like just a book, it was like a full-on experience one that has to be finished at 2am quietly kicking and screaming. I already need the sequel yest like yesterday.

A college bi-awakening romance that has magic, suspense, emotions, and so much more. It was a magical, captivating read.

There are two witch covens on campus; the Sinners and the Saints and the Sinners practice their magic thinking they are safe from prying eyes out in an abandoned building. Instead, Alexei is sent to spy on the Sinners for...reasons...and when his friend, Matteo, discovers what he's doing, Matteo gets pulled along into something bigger than either of them ever imagined.

As much as Matteo tries to talk Alexei out of his spying gig, Matteo is truly a good guy and sticks by Alexei's side through thick and thin. Their first times with each other are so authentic, it was really beautiful, but then pretty much everything after that felt like being on a roller coaster. The story never let off the gas and Matteo and Alexei found themselves in something far deeper than they ever imagined.

Aside from all the magic, what I found endearing, and especially loved about these two guys, is how strongly they immediately bonded over their own past trauma. It heightened their connection, deepened their attraction, and made them a team outside of the magical craziness that was happening around them.

So while they were confronted with sinister entities from another realm and dealing with magic they didn’t quite understand, Matteo and Alexei realize that they need help and seek it in the other witches. All of the Sinners and Saints are quite enjoyable, even when they are being not so nice, and I definitely want to know more about all of them, especially with the crazy ending...I'm dying to find out what happens next.

4 Stars!

I would strongly suggest that readers start with the first book Lust before diving into this story. There's an overarching plotline that runs through the series, and some moments in Lust have direct relevance to Alexei and Matteo's story. While I would say that the first book was a little intense at times, this one takes it to a new level.

Alexei has been hiding secrets from everyone, and it's made it hard for him to see who, or even if he can trust, anyone around him. I was glad that Matteo inserted himself into Alexei's schemes, even before he really knew even half of what was going on. These two land themselves in a lot of trouble, but at least they have each other as they navigate the rapidly changing circumstances their actions created. I was glad that Luke, Brad, Cory, and Seth helped them out. The Sinners had every reason to not help, but they are good people and are trying their best to keep everyone safe.

I felt bad for both Alexei and Matteo at times; there's a lot of pain they were carrying, none of which was in their control. I was glad that they shared their pain and were there for each other without reservation or judgment. The closeness and trust they built with each other was amazing; they both needed that and each other.

Some readers may be put off by the ending. It is abrupt, but I suspect the third book will pick up directly after this one. Thankfully, it's not a complete cliffhanger, and the revelations definitely made me ready to read the next book asap. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long for it.

To borrow baseball terminology, if "Lust" was a homerun for McCormack, "Fever" is a strong triple. I felt the story did a great job of continuing the story started in the first, with the Sinners continuing to get themselves into trouble dealing with supernatural forces.

This time, though, they're not the only ones playing around with those forces, and Alexei from the first book knows that, as well. In his own quest for magical answers, Alexei ends up playing a dangerous game and involves Matteo, Brad's roommate, in his efforts. From there, Alexei and Matteo are pulled into the efforts to forestall the dangers of the Rift incursions.

I was pleasantly surprised that McCormack was able to put together another couple with strong chemistry- Alexei and Matteo were strong characters and made for an appealing partnership. It took a little bit of time at the beginning of the book to get going as there were several more characters introduced into the mix, only to slow down a little bit just after the middle when Alexei and Matteo were helping the Sinners with giving them more information.

But then the author managed to bring the A-game to book's finale as after the Sinners face down at least two very chilling villains, with yet another threat presenting itself at the end, and a doozy it is. In addition to that, some of the plot twists and revelations were beautifully done, both heartbreaking and chilling at the same time. I'll definitely be waiting anxiously for the next installment in this series, as it's ended up being a very pleasant surprise for me.

it was interesting to have alexei’s pov finally shared, as well as Matteo’s. they were a fun couple, when possessions weren’t happening and they could just be together. it left on a cliffhanger and i’m really curious to know what will happen next. wondering if the cliffhanger will be the catalyst for seth to realize his bisexuality/love for cody, or if he already knew it before.

i think i liked brad and luke’s story a little more, because i really enjoyed their powers. plus the hate to love dynamic. i still enjoyed this book and it gave better perspective to the forces outside of the sinners. i’m really curious to know what’s going to happen next, because the epilogue felt INSANE. i literally was all cutesy and adorable, then immediately went to TERROR.

i really thought that the next book would be seth and cody, but amazon says it’s about preston and finn. ahhhh sad that it’s not seth and cody, but i’ll still be reading.

**** 4 "What an ending" Stars ****

Okay, excuse me while I freak out just a little, because that ending. Geez Devon, way to give a girl a heart attack. Alright. I'm okay now. Well, enough to write a review anyway.

Fever continues the story right where book 1 left off. I even went back to reread the end just to remember where we were as a mini-refresher and went on from there. I wasn't sure what we were getting from this one, but hoooo boy was the ride a wild one. From the twists and turns, to the tender moments, we got everything.

The boys Devon gifted us with in this one are a treat. Matteo is a sweetheart, with a heart that's too pure for his own good. Alexei is a like the scared shelter kitten, always ready to scratch your eyes out, but who settles when it realizes it has a safe place to land. Together they're adorable. Discovering each other and this new world they've stumbled into. Built on vulnerability, courage and a metric ton of loyalty. Each fighting their own demons along side each other, always willing to jump in and do the hard thing because it's the right thing.

I really enjoyed what this volume added to the series. A dash of chaos, a splash of fear, and just a pinch of what the f***? If you're looking for a little distraction, this series does it. It has laughter, heat, and horror. Oh ya, did I mention the end? Because holy cliffhanger! So grab your favourite mug, a fuzzy sweater because hello? It's cold. And read this one.

This was a wild freaking ride

I will preface this by saying I have not read Lust but I absolutely want to now.

This story immediately drew me in even though I came in blind I caught up pretty quickly. This was  filled with secrets, magic, lust, and even some possession.

First off we have Alexi who's brother went missing and now he needs to find answers, no matter what it costs. However, when his first plan fails he decides to tap into a ritual sex spell. The only issue he has to find someone willing to do it to him.

Enter Matteo who noticed Alexi being weird and confronts him. Next thing we know these two are getting ready to perform this ritual. Just two straight dudes going to perform a sex ritual...I mean what could go wrong?

I absolutely love how these two give into the idea so quickly. Also Mateo is so soft and caring. He knows he needs to be careful and it's so beautiful.

Now we have two sides dealing in all sorts of magical and paranormal unknowns. The utter chaos in this book mixed with the spice is delicious.

However, that ending.... WTF ... I absolutely need to go back and read book one and I need book three immediately. This was so good and I want....no I need more.

✨️ARC REVIEW✨️

This was a very interesting experience! I had to go back and read book 1 afterwards. I enjoyed the storyline very much actually. But what was that ending?!!! I need the next book pronto 😂

I loved loved loved Matteo and Alexei 🥰 Matteo was so caring and sweet. He was willing to take such a huge risk to help Alexei and make sure he was safe. I loved how protective he was even though they barely knew each other.

Alexei had my heart. He was struggling with the loss of his brother and having no answers as to what happened. Then his guilt for betraying his friends 🥹 I just wanted to hug him! The best thing that happened to him was getting caught by Matteo 😊

I loved their chemistry. They had a great connection, it was like they were meant for each other. Their friendship was easy and fast and their love was pure and beautiful. I loved them. They had a great bond.

The magic was weird sometimes especially how they had to be sexual about it lol but its a good plot and I cant wait for more. I really hope Cody is still safe in there somewhere, I love him and he needs to be with Seth!!! Looking forward to the next book.

*I received an e-ARC for an honest review.

Wow, what a wild ride, especially that ending. The CLIFFHANGER.

I wasn't completely sold by book 1, but so much of what I didn't love from the first book was remedied in Fever, and then some. Fair warning, reading Lust (book 1) is a must before reading this one, otherwise a lot of the magic and plot won't make sense.

Matteo and Alexei's relationship felt so genuine and real. I really liked their acquaintances to friends to sex magic partners to boyfriends dynamic and the progression of their relationship really worked for me. I felt like they had an honest connection and that they developed real feelings though shared secrets, vulnerabilities, and (of course) sex. It felt like a deeper connection, even though the book spanned a short time frame.

I also really enjoyed how the plot really came together and ramped up the stakes even more. Without spoiling things, shit hit the fan and got really interesting, really quickly. I liked watching everything unfold and thought it worked quite well. It laid the foundation for the third book (Cody and Seth, please?!?!) and I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

Alexei and Matteo’s journey takes place in Fever by Devon McCormack, part of the Saints & Sinners universe.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Alexei is attempting to find answers, and when he doesn’t get them, he takes matters into his own hands. Matteo isn’t about to let Alexei get into a bad situation, so he offers to assist him in getting the answers he’s looking for. Neither Alexei nor Matteo is expecting what is about to change their lives forever.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Alexei and Matteo both have demons haunting them, but together they comfort each other and make the other realize that they are not truly alone. I loved the banter between them and how this found family is continuing to grow.⁣⁣

A good addition to the series, and I am excited to see what happens next.⁣⁣

Fever - Devon McCormack
5/5

* SPOILERS *

I need to go ahead and read the first book in this series but man, this book was so good. I loved the fact that this book had paranormal stuff going on that kept me interested in what was going to happen next.

I love a good book that has me on the edge of my seat where Alexei and Matteo have my whole heart. I feel for Alexei so much because all he wants is his brother back. When he comes up with this plan, Matteo is immediately drawn to him and offers to help him. The way these two come together is everything I didn’t know I needed because they’re perfect together.

The spicy scenes were hawt. Mixing magic and intimacy is everything a paranormal romance book show totally be about because you get so much.

I really love how they confessed how they felt for one another. I was here for that whole scene. I love it when the two characters don’t expect things to happen and when it does, it’s so beautiful.

And I need the last book like right now. That was so intense and had me on the edge of the book. I need more because holy moly… I was not expecting that plot twist at the end.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Now we're cooking with gas!

This is book two in the saints and sinners series and should really be read after book one. I would not recommend reading book two on it's own because of the world building and previous plot shenanigan's that go on in book one. You will be lost.

Book two picks up not long after the end of book one. Our main MMC's for this one are Alexei and Matteo, neither of whom are in the sinners or saints clubs but inevitably get drawn in thanks to Alexei and his knowledge of what's happening plus his unshakeable need for answers. Matteo, being the nice guy he is and overwhelming green flag, get's pulled in for lots of fun and games... at least at first. Lol.

I don't want to go into too much detail because it will give away and spoil the plot but this one was more action packed, creepier and felt faster paced than the first one. I also really enjoyed the connection between Alexei and Matteo and how the two of them sort of fumble around at the start before quickly realising hmm maybe there's something here worth exploring than just 'friendship'.

The overall plot gets moved along, we get some new players on the board and get a few questions from the previous book answered as well. There are still plenty more questions that are waiting on answers and again... nobody can convince me that Seth and Cody are just friends. I'm even more certain now, don't know who they're trying to fool, but we'll see.

Read if you're a fan of MM paranormal romance, charmed or friends that would be willing to perform s*x magic with you.

Check triggers. This one's creepy.

4.25⭐️

A fun, exciting and really sexy addition to this series. I really enjoyed the lore and magic that was introduced in Lust and was excited to see where the story would go. We get taken on a journey that has run somewhat alongside the one of the first book but with its own MCs with their own wants and needs. The heat was hot as heck here - like 2 straight dudes need to have sex to make magic? Let me at em! Only Devon takes it from what appears to be a superficial surface sexy trope to something with quite a bit more depth and meaning. Matteo is the greenest green flag to ever green flag. He is the friend we all need and he comes into Alexei’s orbit just at the right time to not only help him but to give him a safe space and understanding. These boys were excellent matches for each other and of course their storyline thickened the already established storyline from Lust. Things with the Saints and Sinners really feel like they’re only just getting started. I’m excited to see where we go now that we have a second group to explore.

This book was so good! The twists and turns had me questioning everyone, and Alexei and Matteo were an absolute blast to follow. Their early interactions were hilarious, but what really hooked me was how fiercely Matteo protected Alexei — first from imagined danger, then from very real threats. Their dynamic is chaotic, sweet, and so much fun.

The sex magic? Loved it. The way it was woven into the plot and actually mattered to the magic system was such a cool twist. And that ending… I did NOT see it coming. The epilogue is straight-up wild.

The action never lets up — male coven battles, sinister spirits, rituals going sideways — it’s nonstop tension in the best possible way. The Sinners’ world feels richer than ever, and while I wanted just a touch more emotional build-up before the feelings solidified, the chemistry and momentum kept me flying through the pages.

Great side characters, great pacing, great spice, great chaos. Devon McCormack really knows how to grab you and not let go until the final page.

I’m already counting down to book three!
