Kayla Carson didn’t move to Castlebrook, Montana, to fall for a cowboy. She came to prove herself as a brand-new teacher and independent woman— definitely not to get tongue-tied around her student's grumpy dad.
But when tutoring his son turns into shared mornings, a dangerously charming smile, and numerous encounters with Brutus the bull, Kayla realizes her biggest struggle isn’t surviving in a new town, it’s surviving Colter Williams.
Colter's done just fine on his own—running the ranch, raising his son, and keeping his heart locked up tight. But Kayla? She’s too young, too bold, too tempting. And when she moves onto the ranch, she becomes too close for comfort.
She challenges him. Infuriates him. Makes him laugh when he least expects it. And she might be the one thing he never thought he’d risk again.
She’s roped in whether he likes it or not.
Perfect for fans of small-town meddling, age gap tension, and slow-burn sizzle with heart

I loved this book, Hope Lennix books are and easy read. You can sit back and relax and enjoy. this is by far my favorite, can hardly wait for the next one in the series.
DNF. This book did not feel like it had a nice flow to its writing the way other stories I’ve read have. Wording ranges from proper and formal sounding to casual. That may not bother some people, but it did annoy me. You can tell the author is not from America and that comes through in some of the language use in her writing, especially the story being centered around a cowboy in Montana. There seems to be swear words thrown in just for the sake of swear words and the interactions between the MMC and FMC were just awkward. Some parts don’t make sense either, like the FMC not having a shower or bathtub in her apartment and having a conversation with a bull asking it to move.
